10 stock team battle versus a level 9 cpu with a lv 9 handicap while the both of you have handicaps of 1 is good training too.

You could do tournament mode with CPU characters or even with friends! biggrin
(CPU characters with random levels. I suggest only 1-2 for beginners!)

well i beat 99stock with pokeballs but with to changes
1. with 0.5 ratio(the caracter doesnt go flyin unless he has 200% damage
2. With out a friend
Is really fun playin it with 2.0 of ratio 2. ^^
