She is a Catholic, as she was raised Catholic and those roots are still strong - yet, she underwent conversion (pretty good for a novelist who is responsible for death & sex-themed books) and wrote a book about Jesus' early life based on meticulous research.
The postscript to this book is just amazing - more amazing than the novel. In it she says one thing became clear from her research - that there is no way the Jewish people could have survived as a group with the same traditions through the ages without supernatural aid.
The evidence of God is freely available to all who have an open mind.

Evidence of God is all around, to those who aren't blind or obstinate...there's no excuse for not understanding a higher power exists.
I'm just still eek that it was Anne Rice. God is no respecter of persons!
