so easter is quickly upon us. that means a new holiday event. more importantly, it also means a time to spend with family. so, tell me... what kind of traditions do you and your families have for easter?

We get together at my Grandmother's house (my mom's side), we all bring something to eat, hide eggs for the kiddies and have a huge lunch! Yummy!

We always all share a hard boiled egg (the same one) and split it together, kind of like a toast with an egg and a prayer, for luck & blessings in the new year!

As far as the Rabbits and Easter Eggs part of it goes we usually buy Easter stuff (candy, etc.) the day after when it's 50% off in some stores. I personally stock up on Peeps on that day. (My microwave is hungry and wants peeps...) =3 and because this will be the only time that I use this image that I found, I present this:

Well, until this year (which has been changed because of some things beyond our control as most of you already know) we all would attend the Holy Tridum services at our parish and celebrate with a big Easter dinner that included ham, some sort of veggie cassorel (spelling?), dinner rolls, and some sort of dessert. We'd also have flowers galore on our table from either the church or the store/florist. This year, however, we've had to stay home and we're planning to attend the early mass at 7:30 am xd (I think I'll be taking a nap tomorrow afternoon) because my parents are returning to Tulsa around 12:30 pm and Dad can't stay up late for the Easter Vigil service tonight cry my favorite part of the Holy Tridum services. Anyway, the main thing is we're all together even if it is only for a short time. 3nodding
Also this year I've been dressing up for different days and writing different entries in my journal about the three holiest days in the Catholic church, if anyone wants to read them. blaugh (Yes, 3nodding I'm Catholic and proud of it!)
