Cherry Sodah Did you just call our Lord a piece of matzah bread? O.O biggrin And why is it the middle one? Is it connected with the bread broken at the Last Supper? When our preachers talk about Passover, they often mention that the lamb's blood painted on the doorway at the top and sides is a symbol of Christ, the Lamb of God, and the blood forms the cross that He died on.
The 'last supper' is the Pesach Seder. There are 3 Matzos... We Christians and Messianics can see they represent Father Son and Holy Spirit. The Middle called the Afikomen is broken and 'buried' and then brought back. The one who finds the Afikomen whens a great Prize. The bread of 'Communion' is the Afikomen. It wasn't a big loaf of bread it was flat bread without leaven. It's been said that a regular piece of matzah has 613 holes in it, representing the 613 Laws. When looking at as piece of Maztah we can see Y'shua in it: "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our shalom was on Him; and with His stripes we are healed. Y'shayahu (Isaiah) 53:6" Y'shua is the middle Matzah the Afikomen which is broken and 'buried' only to be brought back. The afikoman is broken, wrapped in linen cloth, hidden and later brought back. Similarly, after His death, Y'shua was wrapped in linen, buried, and resurrected three days later.
