Over the last week, I have been trying to buy some stuff for my fiancee from Fredericks of Hollywood. I have had no difficulty with Fredericks, they are a great company and we never have had problems ordering from them using my last Bank, or my fiancees Bank.

However, since I started the account at Chase Bank, they have yet to get my address right. they can't even spell the Town correctly!

Accordign to them, I have lived in:

SLC
Plaesent Grove
Pleasant

and not only that, but I moved early February, so they keep attaching my old apartment Number to the end.

apparently, I live in apt. 253(#207). WTF!? scream

due to this, I cannot get the items from fredericks. blah. Anyone else have to deal with this crap from their institution?

What does your bank's address misinformation have to do with buying stuff?

I've never really had problems like this, but that may be a result of the oligopoly in banking we have in Canada. That is, their systems are better from having more money to spend on them because they cater to a larger market.

My bank is totally useless. I'm giving them one more chance, and then I'm changing. Quite regularly, all my money goes missing, and then reappears two days later and no one is able to tell me where it went! It drives me insane, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. I won't bore you with every nasty story though, I think I've said enough.

I don't trust banks xp Unless I need to use Paypal (for Ebay and some online stores) or pay my credit card bill (I have them take it from my checking account), I just rely on cash. I know it's not as safe, but it's far more reliable, in my opinion.

Some of the Online sites nowadays have extra precautions to limit fraudulant transactions.

Fredericks, for Example, requires that you verify the address. As Chase keeps altering my address, I can no longer order from Fredericks using my Chase Visa card.

Have you been telling them over the phone or in writing? I would recommend doing it in writing, with the address spelled out the way you want it to be.

And if they still mess it up, then get away from their incompetent asses.

BTW, for anyone living in Canada, I highly recommend PC Financial.

I've been using Wells Fargo for years and never had any issues with the checking account. I just use my parents' as my permanent address for them. (I only do that because I live nearby.) I don't get statements in the mail anymore. I just get them electronically. I can go online to check the balance and deposit at any local branch.
