...How the hell do you play it?

Seriously, my sister and I tried to figure it out yesterday and we were quite confused.... Anyone care to explain in a way that doesn't sound like a manual?
Or perhaps just share your fun game-playing experiences?

yes i have the game..i set it all up after xmas and was really confused. then i discovered that the flipping company had NOT PUT IN half of the game pieces. RAWR! I was so mad. And my parents still havent got off there bums and changed it arrrrggghhhhh x

It's really confusing and the directions are terrible at explaining. I'd tried to play it three times but I still don't quite get it.
