Ok my best match had to be a match between me as falco and my friend as falco, we knew each other so well we would move in unison without trying to, the only way i won was moving to confuse him, anyone got a story about a good fight?

I actually spent an entire match against my friend, me as Ness, him as Fox, just doing this:
Roll, punch, roll, punch, roll, smash attempt, roll, punch, jump.....etc.
5 lives took 40 minutes.

Russ-san I actually spent an entire match against my friend, me as Ness, him as Fox, just doing this: Roll, punch, roll, punch, roll, smash attempt, roll, punch, jump.....etc. 5 lives took 40 minutes. This is one reason we learn Wavedashing. A lot of times when I'm playing my brother (I'm usually Mario or Doc, he's ALWAYS Ganondorf) I try to roll out of his reach and start spamming fireballs or cape him if I can, but, he goes and rolls in the exact same direction I do at the same exact time and I'm still in reach. Next time that happens I'm gonna try and do a wavedash to a down smash and see what happens. Oh, uh my best match I think was against a friend from school. I swear he's like the only person in my school that's tournament level (though he said he's not. The last time he entered one he lost). Needless to say, I was out of my league, but that didn't stop me from putting up one hell of a fight. He picked Fox, so I grabbed Marth and we played at three lives in Final Destination. A few minutes after the start we were on our last lives. I had just come back from my second death and (amazingly) he had a little over 100% damage on him. Spectators began to appear from all over the Senior Lounge. They had all come to see what would become of this fight. He wasn't holding anything back. Both he and I traded heavy blows and just when it looked like the match was over, one of us managed to come back. Finally, we were both almost at 200% damage. I charged in for a dash-canceled forward smash, but he wavedashed forward at the last second and caught me and a upwards tilt attack. I went up. Way up, though not as fast as I thought I was going. Magnified in the sky, I thought I had hit the peak of my flight and hit the analog stick down to fastfall back and hopefully come back for an upset. As soon as I hit the stick however, Marth floated off into the background and was no more. It took almost ten minutes. We had almost 25 spectators, the entirety of the Senior cafeteria.

I don't think I've had an epic battle with any friends, but with the computer, yes. Every time I kept thinking I was out, Mewtwo kept on truckin'. I think I ended up losing though, or a sudden death match.

When I play Falco against Samus's, it's usually an uphill battle for me, so they can become quite drawn out and intense. Especially when I start playing Falco like 'Mathos' does.

I had a nice epic match with a Melbourne Smasher's Link a few weeks ago, however I was playing Roy.
But it went on for awhile and was plenty of fun.

The most epic battle... explained by me...
There I was, locked in a match I couldn't get out of. A test of skill and power. I was Marth, my rival, Roy. The stage was set on Hyrule Temple, FE theme, and no weapons. Stock, 99, no pause, anything goes... It started all because he used the name tag Ky (pronounced /key/) and I asked "so where's the lock?".
For the first 30 some lives I took from him, I ended up playing around and by like halfway through, we were too busy goofing around to actually play seriously. We never even finished it... But, it was pretty much the most epic battle I ever had. Usually in regular matches, they can end quickly if I play serious.
