what animal names r there that u know in japanese?
i know:
toga-tiger
tobi-bird

(i know dragon, i 4got! sweatdrop )

uguisu - nightingale
washi - eagle
usagi - rabbit, duh xD
uma - horse
gojira - godzilla, it's kind of an animal, no? ;o)

Da Mint, tiger is Tora
bird is tori If it is pronounced slightly different in another region of Japan then I apologize. sweatdrop

Elephant is zou (or zoo depends on the romaji program one has learned from)
turtle is kame
I think wild boar is inoshishi or inobuta. One is a mix between a pig and a wild boar and the other is just the wild boar.
Pig is buta

I believe worm is mimizu but its not an animal and I would love correction on that one.

I believe hawk is tobi (hence my hesitant correction). We had so many of those flying around the inner Koza bridge...I was afraid sometimes they would swoop down on me.

Unagi is eel
Anago is sea eel? I dont know the difference of the eels except how they look.

goat is yagi

and for my last one because I dont want to dominate the animal naming kingdom: hitsuji is lamb. Kinda like Lamb of God and yes for the animal too.
