For an unfinishing work,I think it's pretty great! And compared to me, you totally know how to add color.Just practice and you'll get the hang of it 3nodding Love the art, keep it up~

Squee, wow. You got a tablet? That is pretty awesome considering it's unfinished.

looks like you're off to a really nice start *o*!! ~crits (aka my not so great opinions)~ whee -pointer finger and pinky look bent at odd angles, try pointing the top of his index finger towards his face and maybe extending his pinky. right now they're looking kinda broken D; -his nose looks a little too far to the left of the pic and he could use a nostril on this side, it would balance his face a bit. also, i would take the curve of the nose back a smudge. -luff the eye and the flower X3 -perhaps curve his jaw a bit more -great torso 3nodding -you could shave a bit off of the bottom of the elbow and point it more towards his body; i'd suggest not having it any lower than the top of the black..ring (^^; ) around his middle -not sure what's going on with the two-toned skin u.u'

You have a really good start, however, I would suggest considering where the light source is coming from and shading the sides opposite it. Foe example, if the light comes from the direction of his face, then the shading has to be on his side and arm. Also, consider that objects and the body itself cast their own shadows on other parts. The nose, for example, casts a shadow on the side of the face opposite the light source. Also, hair isn't one steady color; there are dark parts and light parts, the light being near the tips and the lightsource and the dark being the roots and the parts away from the lightsource. Highlights (whether natural, dyed, or just from the anglo of the light) shouls also be incorporated, as it will make your art more realistic and more interesting to look at. Other than that, I really think you have talent and, though it's a major cliche, keep up the good work! ^^
