Did you guys hear about that SCAdian boy who submited a photo of him in garp for the year book? I think its stupid how people keep saying "Its the work of the devil" and "He looks like a gay protitue". I would like to hear your thoughts on it. Im having trouble talking to mundaines about it.

Hah!! Two of the teachers at my school (a socials teacher and the Technical Director of the theatre) are SCAdian's ... BIG SCAdians!

Lord Wylfred (the socials teacher) tries to make sure he wears his kilt to school at least once a month!

We have SCA days twice a year for the socials classes in ... grade 9?

I've worn my garb to school on several occasions ... but ... sitting down in a corset of an hour & a half at a time is a little hard! sweatdrop and trying to do theatre production (making and painting sets and all that jaz) is damn near impossible! So I havn't gotten the chance this semester yet!

I was under the assumption that the only beef the principal had with his outfit was his sword. The kid tried to argue that even the school mascot had a weapon/s (I think it was an axe), and thus he should be allowed to pose with his sword, but the principal would hear none of it. The kids' mother is even trying to fight it.

Pretty silly thing to get "up in arms" about, eh (sorry, I had to whee )?

Or am I thinking of someone different. . . ?

How stupid, to me closed minds are the work of the devil and I don't even believe in the devil LOL. And this photo was a professional one that he gave to the year book people?? Is that what I'm understanding because if thats the case the school should have no say on what he has on in the picture, its not as if he came on school campus with a freakin' sword and wanted his pic taken rolleyes

And have people ever seen gay prostitutes?? for real SCAdian guys are WAY prettier than the gay/cross dressed prostitutes I've seen on crime shows and stuff LMFAO.

Well, parents. The dance squad pretty much died at our school because the pop/hiphop dancers were "unwholesome." rolleyes

I could understand if they made a fuss about him actually bringing the sword to school, but he didn't. It's just in the picture, and that was taken elsewhere. Ridiculous.
