Yep, here's the place to gloat over finally getting that project done. I'll start off with an awkward picture of my Mary inspired dress. The original dress My dress, which is different, but similar I can't wait to get fully dressed up, and take photos outside. But, that will have to wait until I get home....so, after Dec. 14th. I also need to reiron the dress, since in to process of sewing on that bottom part, it got really crinkled. I wish I had starch at school, to improve the smoothness, and also the stiffness of my crini. Mm, the crini I'm wearing is not the one I made this summer, but a new one I recently finished. The original, made of tulle, was very puffy, but liked to bunch up and stick to cotton fabric and socks. So, I went and ordered heavy silk organza and regular organza. Unfortunately, I think I need a little more to make it a bit fuller, and warmer. But, it works wonderfully. Nothing sticks to it, and all the layers slide over each other without catching.

 My first bloomers attempt! They turned out a little too high in the inseam, but it's not anything too bothersome. ^-^ (They actually ended up better than I expected. xD)  A headdress I made to match the dress I bought from Noir Desir. ^-^ A rather rushed project. xD;

Cute! My first pair of bloomers was pretty narrow in the hips. It barely fit over mine. I always forget that Japanese girls have smaller hips, in general, than people of European descent.
You're very good at making things look neat. I would definitely suggest using cotton lace, in the future, because it will look even prettier. (More for headdresses, as usually people aren't looking at your bloomers.)
Do you usually dress sweet lolita? I'm just guessing from what I see here, and the projects you'd like to do. I used to, but as I've gotten older, it's weird how my taste changes so much...and I drool over classic when I used to only look at sweet, and though classic looked strange.

I truely adore all types of Lolita, I'm a very diverse person. xD; I'll probably grow out of some of them when I get older though. I tend to lean toward Sweet lolita and Wa-Lolita though. ^-^ I don't have any Wa-lolita dress though, so I think after I finish the two that I'm going to make, I'll make one of those. (I have a kimono pattern from a fabric store that I'll jsut alter to be shorter and whatnot) Most of the actual clothes I have are in dark colors though, which makes me sad 'cause I'm typically a very "shiney" person. XD I also adore Classic. <3 It's very cute and seems to be more practical for everyday wear than most styles I like to dress. XD I'm glad you liked the bloomers, and I'll definately use cotton lace next time (the lace on the bloomers is a little itchy if I don't wear leggings with them.). I love making things look really frilly like that. I was a little worried I overdid it though. XD

For bloomers, it's ok to overdo it, I think. I mean, they're more about what you know you're wearing, and it's unlikely that people are going to see them. If I wore more bloomers, I'd find really crazy prints that I loved, but didn't want to wear a dress in, and make bloomers out of those.
I hate having to shop for lace, so I try to eliminate it, when I can. sweatdrop I love the look of venice laces, though. Just, so expensive.

 ok so its not quite finished but i think its pretty good, especiialy for my first loli item it was supposed to be a choker to match the alice bow im going to be making of the same material but i think i can use this as a headress aswell if i add the ribbons on the sides to tie it. the ribon is fairly simple satin ribbon the lace i think is cotton as i was trying hard to find one that wasnt so fragile but pretty at the same time. the Thread i got is silk thread so it wouldnt look too cheap but i guess i still failed huh sweatdrop the lace looks off-white because of the scan but really it is a nice clean white

That looks really pretty. It doesn't look cheap, you're worrying too much. Cotton thread wouldn't look cheap, either. heart
And, I don't care if it's white or off-white. I wear mostly off-whites, which are a HUGE pain to match.
I'll have some stuff to post really soon.

Oh, I think it's mainly plastic laces that do tend to look odd, or cheap. Also, really wide lace looks kinda funny.
Braided trims are always a good option, though. Hmm, how would you like it if I took photos of the actual laces that I use? Would it be helpful at all? I usually keep a couple inches extra of lace that I really like.
And, I do know how difficult it is to find a regular headband. It seemed so easy when I was a kid. sweatdrop

Have you tried covering it in fabric? I don't know how well that would work, but it's an option.
I took photos of some stuff I sewed a long time ago, some of it's lolita, some of it's on the border, so I'll just post a little.

The feather makes me think of Cupid, so it's great for a Valentine's Day headdress. I really like the squishy heart. heart I may submit somthing to that contest, if I can get it done in time tomorrow, but I don't know. The pjs look really comfy, and soft.
NMB, I'm glad the tutorial is helpful. I'm not sure how you'd cover the headband, actually. I don't have one with me to experiment on. :/
