A brief note only for now: it occurred to me during my journey here that it would be most civil to have a Self-Contained and Portable unit for the Making of Coffee while away from the comforts of the Home. I have only just recalled this thought now, and have no wish to forget it again.
D.N.C.C., shall U.T.F. to purchase a decommissioned 961-B "Andersson" -- the boiler tubing for the B is so poor that the machine is worthless, but because it fails so fast, most of the mechanism should be scarcely worn! Secondary control set will be ideal with minor modifications. Can replace many worn parts also with newer ones from the B. Ah, Crawler, everyday we creep closer! Ask Mme Wrobelka first: I would not be surprised if she has anticipated my need. Otherwise, an excursion into town might be in order.
