Rules of Signatures

The rules of signatures are short, but you must follow them for many reasons that will be stated here.

1. Your pictures Must be less than or exactly 500x500.
This rule was made to avoid stretching pages. Gaia will sometimes automatically cut off your image to that size, so you'll want to check your image in a forum after you save your signature to be sure it displays properly.

2. Your pictures Must also be under 100,000 bytes.
This rule was made for users with slow connections to keep the loading process fairly quick for each page.

If you are having trouble finding the picture size, Please PM me for help.

3. All Pictures MUST be under PG-13.
This Site has many young users that want to have the same fun as you; and to make sure they don't see/find out something they shouldn't, this rule was made.

NOTE: Even images in spoilers in your signature must follow these rules.

If you are having trouble seeing if your picture is under the PG-13 limit Either PM me directly or PM a online Purple Moderator. Add the Picture in the post and title the PM "Is my picture appropriate for the site?". I will try to answer it when i can, But Moderators tend to take awhile to answer back.

More rules might be added, I might have missed some.

How to put Pictures in your Signature

Pictures are not hard to put in your signature, But you must follow the directions closely.

Host the image at a place like Tiny Pic


Remember about the rules when adding the pictures to your signature.

To get to where you put in your signiture:
My Gaia >Account >Signiture

Random Signatures

First go to Cut-and-Paste then sign up as a member, after you log in then click the random images button and follow the directions from there. But when you add the images just use the URL not the IMG tag. Remember the picture must be under 100,000 bytes and the dimensions under the limit of 500x500. The pictures must also be under the pg-13 rule.

This is the code given to you after you've completed your random Signatures.

First off cut out all the unneeded stuff and you�re left with this:

Then you need to change it to a [ img][ /img] format�thus you�ll have to change the code to this:

[img]http://www.cutandpastescripts.com/cgi-bin/randomimages/randomimages.pl?username=YOUR USERNAME" alt="Random Images"[/img]

What are the random signature images, and what are they for?

Random images are images that change every time the page is refreshed, they are used by most users to show off images they like, but since signatures have restrictions, the random images will be able to have different images and while following the rules.

What to do if your Signature is disabled

Signatures are disabled when one breaks the rules. You'll be asked to re-size the images before the signature can be re-enabled again. You will need to follow the following steps for you to re-enable your signature...

Steps:
Due to the new profile system this part of this post will be delayed until further notice.

NOTE: It will cost gold to have your signature re-enabled. Each time it is disabled, the cost rises.
1st time = 100 gold
2nd time = 1000 gold
3rd time = 10000 gold
4th time and above = 20000 gold, 40000 gold, 80000 gold, etc..

Clickable Images and Linkable Words!

You can make a Image link to your Quest thread, Lotto thread, and even your Chatterbox thread!

You can also make your words link to your Store threads, Art threads, and even your Roleplaying thread!

Its pretty simple to.

Host the Image like told in Post 3 Then use the following code to link your image

[URL=((your sites URL))][IMG]((the Image URL))[/IMG][/URL]

example:


To make your words link follow this code

[URL=((your sites URL))]((your words/phrases))[/URL]

Example:
A Link to your profile!
