I just got back from San Francisco and I loved the Japan Town (J-Town) there. The food was right on and the shopping was good. I bought a lot of shoyu/soy sauce bowls (i am a sucker for them) and I bought my brother and his friend the traditional sake cup that looks like a wooden box. =)
The katsu don was divine!!
Have any of you been to Japan Town in NY, LA or San Fran?

I've never been to a Japan-Town, but every time I know that there is one in the city I'm in I beg my mom to take us there. My friend got to go to one a couple of years ago and I was so jealous. Even if I could only go to the restaurants...

hahaha! I am sorry Da Mint. This all means that you need to go back! ~~~~ It is good to hear that there are other Japan Towns in the US. Had no idea about the one in Houston. The info I read was wrong and I am happy about that. I kinda like how China Towns feel over Japan Towns but I am happy to visit any of them cuz the food is soooo good http://zina.america.fotopic.net <<
