When the ground started to shake at Juliet's house, she told everyone to get under the doorway...something said to do during earthquakes.
Um, so her knowing that...are earthquakes common to Other Island?
Was the quake due to the airplane crashing or to the magnet going crazy...? If quakes are not common...then either crashing planes or psycho magnets must common.
Just something to ponder on....

It may have just been that she knew what to do during earthquakes, so when the hosue started shaking, she put that knowledge to use. It doesn't really mean that she knew what caused it.
And I don't think a plane crash could have caused that. A plane is much too small to cause something as big as that. Besides, didn't we see the plane go down after the shaking?
Personally, I think it was the magnet. Someone got careless - or curious - and didn't push the botton when they were supposed to. Tsk tsk.

Well we KNOW the button didn't get pushed. I just wondered if the Others' reaction meant it hadn't been pushed several times before, ya know?

Well, it's pretty much common knowledge that you should do that during earthquakes.
And I'm pretty sure the quake was caused by the magnet, not the plane.
But the second time the button wasn't pushed, was there an earthquake?
