Soooo UIL Marching Contest was yesterday. Were I am Military is the main style of marching. And well Core Bands are looked down on. Everyone’s like "Psh there just core" and I was too, until yesterday, until I saw the Robert E. Lee Red Raider band!!

We just got seated from marching and passed our plumes up and everything when this core band takes the field. There music was so polished! The only core bands I've seen it looks like their just walking around, but not this band. You could tell they practiced it ALOT and it paid off! Sweepstakes rating!! Totally changed my opinion on Core bands

man, i've only heard of military marching bands eek , but i heard they are the awshomness to listen to. i would like to go see one one day.

but all we are left with here are some shitkicking show bands. stare what sucks is that the regular student body buys into that just because they play popular songs, well most of the time i couldnt tell waht but it resembled maybe a song from "drumline". we do core marching and aren't that great. and neither have i seen a blow your mind core marching band. i dunno i guess we will in a few years after we manage to pass at competition time.
