Hello everyone and thanks for the invitation to join the guild. I'm 37 and live in Melbourne Australia and was led by the nose into Gaia by my daughter (Splinta). I am recently separated and she lives with her mum so Gaia is a way we keep in touch (I try not to cramp her style!). I like creating 3D models and animating them, I play the keyboard (OK) and the guitar (badly) and write my own tunes. I'm currently writing a science fiction novel - about the tenth attempt in as many years! We'll see how it goes. Great to be here.

Wow Melbourne, you lot had the League test last night, but then being from Melbourne i guess you wouldn't know much about Rugby League. Anyway nice to meet you.

You're right - Aussie rules is more my thing, but the sport is growing in profile here. I can't gloat because I don't really know much about it (watched some in bewilderment) and because gloating really isn't my style. Great to meet you from across the Tasman.

Not much to understand really. Get the ball through the sticks with ya boot while resisting the urge to brain the umpire! Everything else is kinda unimportant really. Unorganised, unstructured, brainless entertainment. Yay!
