How old do you have to be to carry a sword dagger ect ?

I have a friend(who is also in the SCA) thats 16 and carries about 5 daggers with him wheneven hes in garb, he started to carry them when he was 13 i think... Its amazing what store owners alow people to carry here...

I thought it was 6? - we are both talking about Calum, yes?

And I'm thinking there is no real rule on that (As long as your not talking about fighting) because anyone under 15 is supposed to be accompanied by an adult *or at least have an adult's name - someone who will be there - who's supposed to watch over them

So the parents or gardiens would be the ones to allow them to wear them! And if they allow them to wear them, the one wearing them would assumingly be mature enough to know that they're dangerous!

of course I could be wrong - and there may be a rule!

but I've only just turned 16 and I've got a knife on me when I'm wearing my garb! Have for at least 6 months before I turned 16 biggrin heart

I have it, I know like 1756900145 other people in the SCA who have it. its everywhere!

Also nice collection... I think you have as many as me.. maybe a little less.

I started carrying one in my boot when I was about ten. That carried on for a year, I stopped, then at twelve I started carrying one on my belt. The only time it ever became an issue was the time I wore garb to school.
