Im finding it very difficult to fight in a shirt, perpoint, gambeson, surcoat, and suit of brigandine.

Does anyone have any tips on cutting down on the amount of armor/layers I have to wear?

I wear, in that order::
light , but tough, tunic
Gambeson (quilted)
Leather armor (solid)
