Stepping out of a long black limo that picked you up to take you to the party, you see the outside of the giant guild mansion. At your feet lays a red carpet going all the way up to the entrance. As you walk up to the entrance a gentle breeze flows by, making the hot summer feel kind of cool. You can here the leaves of the trees brushing by each other with every breeze. The feel of it all just makes you want to stop and take it all in, but you remember you have a ball to attend to. Quickly looking back to where you were headed you walk up towards the big double doors. As you lift your hand up to knock the two doors swing open and you are engulfed in a rush of cool air and the sound of laughter. Right after you step through the doors two doors men close the doors behind you. Once the doors are shut you look around and take in your new surroundings.
Looking around you can see the entire party from where you’re standing. You can see the dance floor shining in all of its glory, and the people dancing on it in pure bliss. In front of the dance floor sits the orchestra, playing the finest ball room music you’ve ever heard. Just a little beyond the dance floor lays the buffet table. The beautiful shining wood is clothed by a long stretch of blue silk cloth. Setting on the cloth are platters of the finest foods around. From soups and salads and other appetizers, too steak and ham and a variety of other main course foods. At the far end lie the deserts, from ice cream and cake, to éclairs and chocolate covered strawberries. Everything looks so delicious it’s no wonder why there are so many people over there chatting, laughing, and filling their plates. Looking to the opposite side of the dance floor there are many tables each surrounded by shimmering oak wood chairs. The tables are each covered by a silk blue table cloth that gives off a radiant glow. In the center of each table is a beautiful silver candle holder, holding a long white candle. On the outer edges of the table are the shining silver plates, with silverware on each side. Suddenly a beam of light catches your eye. You look up to see the giant chandelier sparkling light down on everything. The light from the chandelier sprinkles down and almost seems to dance across the floor, giving the whole room a wondrous feel.
But that’s when you realize that it’s not the dancing light that gives the wondrous feel, it’s the people. The people dancing on the dance floor the people laughing as they talk with old friends and new alike, and it’s the people sitting down to enjoy the good times while they last. It’s everyone just acting as themselves, and not having a care in the world. They’re all just people being people and that’s what gives the room such an outstanding feel. With out those people this wouldn’t even be the same room.
Suddenly you think to yourself, “What am I doing standing here? I should be out there enjoying myself as much as they are!” So you finally join the ball you came here for!
