Username: Lise Illumincroix Who recruited you?: from old Altair guild
Name: Cwen Hazard (Yes, I actually looked online, and those are Brit surnames and names) Age: 17 Gender: Straight female Height: 54 Weight: 105 Race: Human Social Class: Noble Appearance: Cwen has naturally reddish orange hair that goes down to the middle of her back. When down, it appears similar to the Curlz Red style in the Gaia salon. When tied up as pig tails, it looks like the Lolita style. Tied up in one strand, it looks like the Terra-Twist only not as spiky in the back. Cwens eyes have those color changing ability from blue to green and back. This is not under her control. It has been attributed possibly to the change in seasons. Cwens figure is that of a slender youth. She is rather attractive even with a well defined jaw and sharp features. Below her neck above her chest area is a scar, a burn of some sort. Her skin is light tan colored. Cwens clothes are quite varied, and its not just because shes a noble. Personally, she prefers trousers and male clothes since they allow her a wider range of movement. However, so not to break tradition as much, she pairs the ladiess upper tops with the trousers when alone or working. Otherwise, she'll wear skirts if need be in public. Cwen does have gowns, and they range from the very elaborate to the plain but elegant. Some of Cwens gowns are rather revealing
Personality: Cwen is rather approachable, being kind and friendly, when testing inventions on others without asking them or when she is interested in them. However, she prefers to be alone so she can dabble in inventing random things. Otherwise, shes pretty apathetic and haughty, not afraid to put people down.
Character flaws: Cwen has a superiority complex, where she thinks that only a select few in the noble class are skilled enough to be practical and efficient inventors, herself being one. She also hates conforming, thus her etiquette and ways may be slightly different, causing others to shun her. Cwens strength also isnt exactly her forte.
Background: Cwen comes from a wealthy family of some royal descent. Cwens father is an avid supporter of new and inventive devices. However, he is more of a traditional not- so inclined- to build type. Cwens mother is the opposite of her father. She is an inventor, but doesnt enjoy it due to the possible dangers that the inventions can cause. In order to run the household, Cwen's mother has invented some items that make tasks simpler so she doesn't have to move as much. Cwens brother, Oliver, was supposedly killed during work in a forest. The family had never been able to see his body due to the contention that it had been burned to ashes in the fire that had broken out. Raised in a small city in a huge house with servants, Cwen was sent to a school known for its rigorous and challenging curriculum after much debate between her parents. The idea was to let her choose what she wanted to do. Her mother strongly discouraged the inventive side. Her dad endorsed it. Because of her mothers dislike, Cwen became interested in and eventually specialized in camouflage items to hide her interest from her mother. Her cover was as a musician playing the harp with a slight interest in knowing about inventing. Cwens father insisted on Cwen fencing since at the moment, there was no male heir. To be precise, Cwens father was a well respected man and powerful as well. Cwen followed in his suit in his thinking and her mothers brilliance in inventing. Needless to say, Cwen was a marvelous student even if she did annoy some of the other students with some of her lack of reactions. When Cwen hit college age, her parents decided to have her go to [insert The Univeristy name] to mix with a different group of people and to meet more people.
Skills: Cwen specializes in camouflaging and making normal things useful. With the aforementioned specialty comes the artistic ability that she uses to brainstorm these things. She is also skilled in fencing and playing the harp.
Explanation of Camouflage and Normal Inventions: BAsically, in order to hide any hint of contraption, Cwen specializes in making normal things such as her fan or book something else. Outside, it looks like a book or a fan, but in actuality, the book may also serve as a key or as a weapon while the fan can be a holder of weapons. Yeah, I'm using weapon examples here.
Belongings: Being an inventor, Cwen has with her tools, wires, etc. She also has clothes comprised both of men and womens clothes. Also with her are fencing equipment and her harp. Obviously, she has school supplies such as books and writing utensils. A few of her inventions such as a fan, which serves as a weapon holder, are with her as well.
Character secrets: Cwens scar is from a terrible event that occurred when she was younger. She has suppressed that memory, but whenever someone deeply inquires about it, she will cry. Unbeknownst to Cwen, the Hazard line is somewhat cursed. As the last name can imply, the lines members tend to die tragically or be involved in something tragic. Strange things may occur. Cwens father and mother seem to have avoided it well, but one never knows maybe her brother isnt dead yet.
Anything else: Cwens name means queen.

Username: Lotus_Santi Who recruited you?:
Name: Mira Age: 19 Gender: Bisexual Height: 5'4 Weight: 105 lbs.
Race: Human Social Class: Middle class. Upper-middle class.
Appearance: Mira is about five foot four, and of average built, not fat and definitely far from skinny. Her hair is cut in a short shaggy bob, the tips tinted with blueish purple dye, almost blending in with her black hair color. Her complexion is pale with pink undertones, and noticeably blushes. Not that she does so often...
Personality: She exhibits a very strong personality, particularly in dealing with oters, and most of the time this turns people off. Not exactly tactless, she is just not afraid to voice her opinions, or make her feelings known, very much to the irritation of her father. She was never inclined to be the classic prim and proper lady, or anything close to subdued.
With regards to authority, Mira is of the opinion that respect must be earned, and will not care if she's dealing with a teacher or a noble. Mostly left-wing, rebellious with reasons she will take care to explain, but oftens comes out sounding angsty. She hates sounding angsty, though, and most of the time is self-depreciating. Might appear mature to others, but will never claim to be.
Character flaws: Provocative, almost to the point of being rude, and at times will purposely be such just irritate people, or prove her point. Sometimes it also seems that she talks too much for her own good, and in a way tries to impose her ideas on others. Finds it hard to compromise. This has probably earned her a bad reputation among her peers. Doesn't like to look weak or soft.
Background: Mira is the only child of a businessman, gradually rising from middle class to the upper-middle class. Their family business revolves around textiles at first, then expanded to dressmaking and design. Thankfully her father believed in education, and from early on it was instilled in her that it was important, regardless of gender or social class. Her mother's family was in the trvelling circus, a "gypsy clan" of sorts. Illiterate and slightly simple-minded, her mother was nevertheless very loving of her only daughter. Mira is very fond of her mother, and is very protective of her, of the opinion that she isn't sharp enough to stand up for herself.
Growing up, she wasn't too spoiled, kept in line by her father's frugality and discipline, and made to mingle with her less fortunate cousins. Her mother's family were mechanics of lesser wit, and were delgated more to common metalwork and mechanical tasks. Though they weren't of much use to her education-wise, playing in their metalworks shop sparked an interest in
Skills: The girl is good with numbers and is highly intellectual. Though not a genius, and like any other youth of her generation, she enjoys tinkering with "the mechanical stuff" as her mother would say.
Belongings: A compass she had taken a fancy to, with a mirror on the inside of the lid. At first glance it looks like a powder compact, with it the ornate etchings on the lid.
Character secrets: Though her nature really resists secrets, she likes to keep private the fact that she's already engaged...to her father's friend's son. The arrangement goes against everything she believes in--freedom and equality, but for some reason she agreed.

The trip had not taken that long. In fact, the bulk of it had been moving her belongings into the dorm room. The university was not located far from her home in the city.
Cwen sighed as she spectated her room. She would be living with another. Seeing that, she picked a random side and started unpacking... but without first, putting her hair into a pony tail to avoid it getting in the way of her vision.
Cwen's parents had been both happy and sad at her departure. It was education, and everything had a price. Cwen understood. She would outsmart the others at the school. She was a 2nd year after all, and she should know the school better than the first years and maybe some of the other years. She had explored the year before.
"Hmm.... fencing equipment." CRASH. "Into the closet, you go."
"Fare well, Cwen darling," her mother had said, giving her a hug.
"Oh, I'm sure you'll be brilliant as usual! Go and build something fantastic!" her father had said.
"Oh, don't listen to your ridiculous father. Just be safe and apply your knowledge logically," her mother had retorted.
Cwen had simply nodded and smiled slightly as she looked at her suitcase, which she had modified to have the ability to transform into a table. "Yes, mother and father. Of course."
After the servants had helped her move the luggage into the room, the family had bid their farewells, hugged, and moved on. What Cwen had not heard was a comment from her mother and the resulting conversation.
"Oh dear, darling..." This was directed toward the father and was not heard by Cwen. "I hope Cwen's doctor results come out fine. He hinted that she was not well..."
"Harp in case by desk..." Cwen mumbled to herself. As she unpacked and organized the material, the noble could only wonder slightly how her roomate Mira was. She had never met Mira personally and didn't know much of her.
She had come to the university dressed in some ridiculous lavish dress to flaunt nobility. Of course, this was becomoing a hassle while she unpacked. She quickly changed into trousers to help quicken the unpacking endeavor.

Cwen's first instinct after unpacking was to explore the university. She looked toward the other side of the room. Apparently, her roommate had not yet arrived. Arming herself with a map, Cwen marched out toward the common room.

A ball, was it? Cwen shook her head as she donned a dress and applied the appropriate materials to her visage. Her dress was a deep blue with white lacing at the cuffs of her arms. Around her neck she placed a delicate but sparkling locket.
With last minute touches, Cwen nodded and headed off.

"Ah, wonderful dance that was," Cwen commented out loud dryly. It seemed that her roomate had not yet arrived. She sighed. It was for the better.. she was changing out of the ridiculous dress.
"Well, class, is it?" Cwenshook her head. "This university is horribly disorganized. I suppose it will get better, but until then, I will have to make do."
