SCA filk Song (in progress)

ok - i got bored at 3am a couple nights ago!! biggrin and this idea popped into my head - so i went with it!!

It's about bards, and i want to make a verse for every part of a bard - music, drinks, and women!! xd lolz - or if your a female bard - then men!! but this was written from a female's perspective of a male bard

so - the last verse NEEDS HELP DEPERATLY, but if anyone has any comments, constructive critisism - have at 'er

but please keep in mind, this is my first filk song EVER and it was written at 3am!! sweatdrop

[Not-So-Sweet Transvestite]

It works, but the first line of each stanza is short a sylable. You can make it work by singing the last word as two (as I'm sure you've been doing) but it's more in keeping with the original to have a two-sylable word.

However, I'm well-versed enough in filk to know it doesn't really matter.

i do want to fix it up though, so that it sounds really good .... because Cinara's making me sing it at the next 'sing for your supper' .... stare *dies*

also - she's 'challenged me' to make a historically-sounding song .... as in medieval tune, medieval writing, so that it sounds like it could be from the medieval times ..... stare she's evil xp

I would probably try with "bardic ones" instead of bards. It fits in the metre better. Also, try and rhyme with song, too. It'll sound better, and flow easier.

haha no, i dodged it - Cinara wasn't at Fields of Gold - although North_of_Nita, and i almost did sing it

but she didn't bring her lyrics .... that i didn't even know she had written untill we were at the event and it was too late! sweatdrop
