I'll be honest, I'm 22 and still finding my way in life. I was curious to see what everyone else does for a living and how they ended up there. It's neat to hear about how people got started on where they are.

Im 23... And still trying to figure things out. Back in 2002, I decided that what I was doing in college wasnt my thing. ( I was going to be a crime scene investigator. Something I still wish I could do. I have an uncle in the field, and I see him doing interesting things all the time on Court TV.) I love figureing things out, but me and chemistry didnt get along. So, I quit college And went home. I applied for the fire fighting course at the local tech college, but they had a 3 year waiting list... Hmmm... I went to talk to some recruiters for the military... Allways wanted to be in the service, but I never thought I could cut it. The Army offered me firefighting, and I took it. Finished up my training in January of 03, and came down on deployment orders for March 03. Decided to fly my girlfriend down to texas so I could marry her. Deployed for 368 days, but who is counting. Came back, finally started working in a fire department. Then, in 05, decided to try and have a child. Tried for 8 months, and finally suceeded. Am now about to be the proud parent of a son. (Due on the 23 of this month.) Now, looking to persue a career in Aviation. I love firefighting so much though, Im really torn. Flying is my other favorite thing to do. I used to fly small planes before I went to college... I really want to get back into that. Ive reached the top of where I want to be in the fire department. Im a sargeant, and if I promote they pull me off the floor, and put me behind a desk. NEVER!!! Lol... So... I guess we will see what the future holds...

I'm an Electronics Technician (ET) in the greatest Navy in all the world. I joined basically fresh out of high school. I was doing some student teaching and after 9/11, I knew I needed to join. Like most in my field, I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up (I know Isaid I'm going to be a teacher, and am still working on it). I enjoy my job and the experience alone has been worth it.

To be honest, I'm still finding my feet too...
I worked in retail after I left school, and was a manager by the time i was 19, which was pretty cool, but after a while I started to feel really bored, and decided to study to give my brain some stimulation. I'm still doing it, and hoping (at this point) to become an interpreter when I finish, but I really don't know, I guess I'll just see where life takes me.

I am a manager for McDonald's. How I ended up here?? My sister started me into Gaia, and I liked it so I stayed and then one night I made a thread in the chatterbox looking for people over 18 to talk to. That is where I met Dakotarayne and Archangel Lionheart. There you have it, how I got here.
I have no plans to grow up, think my son might beat me to it..

I'm a Team Manager in a call centre which deals with UK Directory , inward operator, International directory enquiries and International Operator calls. We also have teams handling 999 calls and an out of hours fault reporting helpdesk. I used to work there part-time during the day when my kids were in primary school, and when they got bigger (my youngest is 12, the other is 15) I increased my hours and took over a DQ (UK directory enquiry team) while filling in for someone else on Maternity leave.
I got offered a permanent Team Manager Role on the nightshift at the start of this month. I work 4 days on 4 days off 12 hours shifts - but it fits in ok with my family. I come back in before they go to school, go to sleep when they leave, and wake up when they come back around 4. It gives me time to fill in forms, nag them to do their homework/get guide uniform ready etc and I make dinner. We usually have time to eat together before I leave!

I work as a high school math teacher in Arizona, at least until the end of the semester. It's weird because I still go to collegel in Las Vegas, so I commute four days a week up here in order to teach, and then drive back for my classes. It's hard, and it's stressful, but I love teaching and was all for this job when it was offered to me a few months ago. Lack of sleep isn't fun, but I'm getting by.
I do also have another job back home. I'm a waiter assistant at an italian restaurant. One of my friends kind a hooked me up with that one, and I just kind ran with it. I wish I didn't have to work there some days, but since it pays for my gas in my commute, I can't really complain.
Other than that, I start my summer job as a manager for a promotions firm in a week, when high school gets out. Definately will help pay the summer bills until school is back in in august.

I'm a housewife and mother. And before you sigh at that - it's a very good occupation and keeps me busy 24/7. Just because it's after hours, doesn't mean you get to relax...your family (esp. babies) doesn't shut off. xd

I admire housewives, they work hard. I would love to be there again, I love to cook but it is hard when you work outside of the home.

Well, I'm 25 and still have little to no idea of what my place in this sick twisted world is. Assuming there is a place. Don't get me wrong though I am content with my exsistence.
