The Heartless are trying to take hearts not only from all living creatures,
but from the planet itself. But what do they mean to do with the heart of the world?
I've been having these weird thoughts lately...
Like, is any of this for real, or not? There are so few stars left...
The night sky is so dark... Kingdom Hearts Training Room Welcome, welcome! This is the place to go for some no-pressure RP practice and warmups (I'm sure lots of us could use it!) I'm going to create a scenario in the next post, and you can jump in whenever you're ready! No app needed! You can just describe your character as you go, or, if you prefer, make a small blurb with their info in your first post. Give as much or little detail as you want! All I need to know right out of the gate is what you're hitting my bad guys with! And while we're on the subject, there is no pressure to be heavily literate or use multiple paragraphs (unless you feel it's called for in a situation). All I want is for you to click the Preview button and proofread what you wrote before posting. Fix any spelling/grammar mistakes you spot, and you're good. Y'know, the General Roleplay Info Thread is super useful. I'm creating this training room because I've been working on an official KH RP for quite a while now, and I wanna shake off the rust before it actually starts. Actually, I've been mostly working on the prologue. The prologue WILL require an application, but we'll burn that bridge when we get to it! I will be putting the prologue in this forum as well once it's ready, but I make no promises on when that'll be. You know me! Rules1.) Follow Guild Rules & Gaia ToS, as always 2.) Don't pressure people to post! If I don't hear from you for 3-4 weeks I will pop in on you on Discord with a smiley face reminder. Once we get the ball rolling, I'll shorten that to 2 weeks. I think that's fair to everyone. And if you take longer than that, I'll just drag you along with the rest of us~ 3.) Have fun! heart (I couldn't think of anything else! I think the Guild Rules pretty much covers it! Will add more in future if needed!) Q: What/who can I be? A: What/whoever you want! If it can be found in a Square game, Disney movie/show/etc., a faerie tale, you can be it! If you don't wanna play an OC, you can play as yourself, play a canon (if you play a canon out of character, I will of course suggest you play something else... but I don't think we'll have that problem), play a Heartless if you want (you might get killed by the heroes but we'll make it epic if we can), whatever floats your boat! Q: What kind of weapon can I have? A: Whatever you want! Want a keyblade? As long as you come up with your own, it's fine by me! Want a gun? As long as it fires magical shots! No bullets allowed! Want one of those cool round axe-ish thingies like Rue has in Threads of Fate? Go for it! Just don't claim you have the weapon of a canon. You can't have the Kingdom Key or Cloud's Buster Sword or Magus' scythe or whatever. Make up your own keyblade or giant sword or other unconventional weapon! Q: Do I HAVE to be in Wonderland/wherever? A: No, you don't have to follow the main "plot" of this training exercise! By all means, tell me where you want your character to be, and I'll whip up some NPCs for them to interact with over there! I'm making the main scenario to pull in whoever's interested, but if you'd rather be somewhere else, that's okay! If I think of anything else or anything gets asked, I'll add it to the list. Until then, onward to the beginning~

Tulgey Wood
A hulking dark monstrosity appeared as if from nowhere, its head peeking out from the forest canopy. -KHCOM.gif)
The alarmed squawks and growls of many residents of the Tulgey Wood rang out, punctuated by the falling of several trees, as the critters all scrambled away from the disturbance. The yellow-eyed giant slowly twisted this way and that, glancing around at the treetops, and far beyond, a brighter, less-crowded forest, then a seemingly endless hedge maze, and a number of ornate structures, the tallest of all being a grand castle adorned with heart shapes all around.
Not seeming to find what it was looking for, it raised its fist, amassing dark energy around it before plunging it down to the forest floor, cracking right through a fallen tree in the process. Where its knuckles had touched the ground, it was covered by black and purple matter that seemed solid and liquid all at once. And from the depths of this sickening circle, crawled forth more dark creatures, smaller, but with the same yellow eyes. Only two eyes at first, then eight, then dozens, then more than a hundred. Before long, the dark aberrations seemed to ooze out in waves.
The woods filled with panicked cries as mome raths, toves, pencilbirds, broomdogs, and all the myriad forest creatures scrabbled, bounded, and flew as fast as they could, trying to escape the waves of darkness. They knew - could feel it deep down inside - that these things were no good. They fled in every direction, not knowing where to go or what they would possibly do once they got there.
Not knowing if anywhere could ever be safe again.

[ Queen of Hearts : Wonderland : Queen's Court ]
"Order," the Queen demanded of the courtroom, as she fanned herself with her heart-shaped wand. The noise among the hedges did not cease; in fact, some people even seemed to raise their voices! This did not please the Queen. This did not please her at all. "Order, I say!" She slammed her gavel down. "Or it's off with ALL YOUR HEADS!"
The court immediately fell silent, and all eyes turned to her, many that weren't already full of fear now plainly displaying it.
"Much better," the Queen of Hearts giggled, smoothing out her jet-black hair. "Now, one at a time... You there, dear. Tell me what you know of this awful business."
"W-well, Your Majesty..." A green-scaled lizard in a jacket and hat approached the bench. "Those monsters came crashin' through the woods n' plum tore my house down!"
"Jury, write that down," the Queen said with a wide smile. "On to the next witness."
"B-but, Your Majesty, I haven't-"
"NEEEEXT!" the Queen bellowed, banging on her podium all the while. The lizard shrank back into the crowd, allowing the next person to step up and voice their concerns.

((You can have your character start out in the woods, reacting to the invasion, or in the court, prepared to give their own testimony (or actually do something about the situation), or anywhere else in Wonderland (or another world, if you prefer). As always, use the proper location tags for each character.
