Thomas had a relatively peaceful childhood, being educated in both magical and muggle worlds. He loved to read at a very young age. His father worked as a Herbologist and his mother as a nurse at a local clinic, so Thomas had an early love of healing. When Thomas was five, he got a little sister, then again when he was nine. On his eleventh birthday, he received his Hogwarts letter and off to school he went.xxx𝒮𝒸𝒽𝑜𝑜𝓁 𝒴𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈xxxxxxAt school, Thomas was sorted into Ravenclaw and immediately excelled in his house, though he struggled with math and therefore with Transfiguration. In his second year, he was recruited to play Quidditch when not enough people tried out for chaser. Despite his initial fear of being terrible, he wound up being quite good at the sport. Thomas' grades excelled in all classes except Astronomy and Transfiguration, even after he added electives. With his electives, he was setting himself up to be a healer or even perhaps an apothecary.
xxxIn school, Thomas had been rather shy and had trouble not only making friends, but in his love life as well... Well, the fact of the matter was he didn't have a love life. But that helped him focus on his studies and he aced almost all his exams. Of course he failed the two he struggled with, but only just barely. Thomas then continued on to the N.E.W.T. level exams, taking all but the two he failed into the next level. Despite his shyness, Thomas became the Vice Captain of the Quidditch team, then went on to serve as its Captain afterwards. When it finally came to N.E.W.T. exams, he managed to ace all of his tests.xxx𝒜𝒹𝓊𝓁𝓉𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxxxxxUpon graduation, Thomas went to work at the Potions shop in Diagon Alley while he started building up a reputation on his own. He was still very awkward with the customers, struggling to make decent connections, but his potions were good and he was excellent at deducing what potions would be necessary. Late at night one day when he was twenty-one, a woman entered the shop claiming to be ill. He went to inspect her and she seduced him into the alleyway behind the shop. After they'd had intercourse, she bit him and turned him into a vampire. Her clan had heard of his ability with potions and decided to recruit him.
xxxThomas did not adapt well to being a vampire at first, since he didn't like the premise of having to hurt people to feed. In fact, he almost died because of how long he resisted the urge to feed. But eventually he adapted to it. And as he did, his entire personality began to change. He became gregarious rather than shy, a flirt rather than inward, and above all, he began to view human life as less than important. Though he didn't go outright to kill when he fed, if he did, it wasn't necessarily a bad thing. He brewed many potions for the clan, helping them with whatever they wanted to achieve for a long while.
xxxAfter being with the clan for almost thirty years, Thomas wanted a change of scenery. He planned to leave, but the clan wouldn't let him go. His sire tried to force him to stay and in the fight, he staked her. Fleeing the country, Thomas changed his name to Lucien Bloodraven. He also thought the name sounded better for a vampire. Now Lucien, he traveled through the European continent, loving women and leaving them. It wasn't until he met a woman named Claudette in France that he stayed anywhere for longer than a few days. She bore him a son named Jean. He was in Jean's life for a few years before his wanderlust kicked in again and he left.
xxxTraveling back to the United Kingdom, he resumed his old behaviors, siring more children in the UK. He was content to move about and love, until he received a letter that Claudette had passed away. Jean was being sent to an orphanage, unless he returned. Lucien did return and helped to raise Jean until he reached the age of majority. Jean maintained the house while Lucien traveled about. Then news reached Lucien about the murders of several half-vampires in different European countries. It took him a while to piece together that the deaths were related to him.
xxxHe tried to catch up to whoever was murdering his offspring, but he always seemed to miss them. In France, he caught sight of the murderer and was shocked to find out it was Jean. He didn't know why Jean was murdering his half-siblings, but he knew he had to stop him. Traveling back to England after him, they finally caught up with him at one of Lucien's daughters' houses. His son had his daughter in his grasp, but Lucien was able to communicate with her and together they got him close enough to Lucien. Then Lucien killed Jean. Lucien learned that his daughter's name was Hesperia and he tried to make a relationship with her, but his daughter rebuked him.
