So a long time ago, I made this RP prompt for a group of friends that has just lived in my head rent free. So here I am, seeing if anyone would be interested in exploring/brainstorming this with me.

I would have laughed in your face and told you to get a life.
Things like monsters don’t exist, right?
Now, I know better.
The world I have fallen into is strange.
It's only safe where there's light.
The only things I can trust are those like me I find in the city beyond the broken gates.
We woke up here, not sure how we arrived, and no idea who brought us here.
We are trapped in these ruins.
Don't trust the talking shadows.
All we know is it is dangerous to be alone...
If anyone finds this journal, know that there are things in the dark that no one is meant to see.
Nobody is meant to go beyond the scope of our reality, and into the black.
The shadows are alive here, and they know nothing but hunger and greed for life.
Because I think that’s where we are….

When bracelet is activated, it creates a 5 foot diameter circle of light for 2 hours
[ Bracelet is beaten brass with a large orange crystal in the center, bangle style ]
Tear of Aegis - Not Found

Once daily use – Cooldown 24 hours from use
When used it sends out a blastwave that hurts shadows. Radius 10 feet diameter circle. 2 foot safety circle from caster.
[ Brooch is a crystal shaped like a tear. Pure white when available for use, black when used ]

Can be used as a standard sword. Never needs sharpened.
Can be called upon to give the user a large boost of strength. However, it will also dull their senses so they wont notice when they are hurt. -1 hour use- --12 hour cooldown--

Creatures stand anywhere from 2 feet to 8 feet tall.
They travel in groups.
Any place without light, they'll grab and try to swallow you whole.

Her ice will freeze you in place... Beloved...

Uses ice magic to freeze her victims.
Shatters a person if they stay frozen 3 turns.
Firestorm
This light... the fire... it isn't safe...
