Quote:
It's a new year in the Kawani lands! Winter is in full swing and much of the land is covered in snow. Does your soquili do anything to acknowledge or celebrate the new year? Are they part of a herd or family that has a tradition or ceremony? Have they made a promise to start the new year with a clean slate and change themselves for the better?

Or did they simply try to stay warm and wait for the snow to melt and spring to arrive?

Write an RP responding to the above prompt. Your soquili should acknowledge the fact that it is a New Year - how they react to that is up to you.

To qualify for both soquili & fam prizes, you must write at least 750 words. Anything less will qualify you for a familiar or 5 raffle tickets (your choice).

Loli was shy around others, having just joined up with a herd for now, she was unsure if she was going to stay, as there were not very many in this herd, and they all seemed to be going their own ways to find new herds. Loli was walking through the woods down a path as she seemed to be looking for something, and in thought, her hooves left prints in the snow as she shook some snow off her.

Loli seemed to be determined; she had always been a timid horse, keeping to herself and just being there. Loli wanted to change that; she wanted to be more open with others and wanted to maybe find someone for herself this year, maybe even a friend she could talk to. Loli soon walked out into a field, looking around her ears, tilting in directions as she listened to make sure the coast was clear. She walked into the field looking for other herds to see if any were around.

Loli dug at the snow looking for food, as she did mindless things to keep herself occupied, her tail flicking as she did so, before she moved on. She started to walk out of the field when she stopped, seeing another horse. Loli's ear perked up as she watched them for a time, their long, teal-colored mane pooling on the ground as they seemed to be looking for something in the snow; their wings fluttered slightly as they moved. Loli watched them for a time, at first wanting to go up to them, but stopped herself, inching closer, trying not to spook them.

The mare had traveled long and far. She was a teal one would almost say aquamarine in color, her mane longer than her tail, as her mane draped to the floor, she mostly looked like a horse from afar, but a closer reveled her front legs had bird-like talons, and she had wings tucked into her sides for the time being. Her journey was long, but bright and adventurous. From the wide-open beaches to the densest of forests, even the tallest mountains were nothing to that adventurous spirit. When the snow fell on her, she shook it off with a flick of her coat and a flutter of her wings.

It was the new year, and Teal Mare had her bucket list. Find a herd, or make one; both were nice goals. Find and make a friend, explore the darkest caves, bathe under the biggest waterfalls, find water so hot it washes away all your cares, maybe even find a familiar someday. The list went on, and it was long, so long her hair would be considered short to all she had in mind for the new year's bucket list.

Shaking off the flakes of snow that gathered on the Teal Mare's coat and wings, she spotted a spark of color. Such beautiful rainbow spots in the white abyss of the snow that it sparked her curiosity. Surely this was her chance to make a new friend or start, even join a herd. She nickered at the other mare, seeing as she seemed to be timid, or coutious the Teal mare was unsure which one.

Loli's ears went up as she heard the nicker. They were slightly back when she approached, unsure if the teal mare was friendly or not. She kept herself from trotting over to the teal mare, excited and hopeful that she would be able to make a new friend, or maybe even be part of a herd. The teal mare sniffed her, after she was done she let Loli join her as she was still digging in the snow, stoping as loli observed and helped her dig up a lovely patch of grass that seemed to still be green, Loli stuck with her, slowly that started to travel from the field as they got there fill and travled on.

The teal mare was curious why this colorfull little gal was by herself, and soon found out that loli was very timid and didnt really talk to her old heard mates, and they all seemed to go off and find new heards, leaving her alone. As they talked and walked as the teal mare refused to leave her alone now, they got to know each other, learn things that they both liked and hated, they stuck together like glue, going on and hopeing they would find more who would like to join there herd, this wasnt just a herd for them this was a family and they both wanted to feel like they belonged.
