Bloodline: Anvari Parent Clan: Daeva Nicknames: Pushers Faction: Independent Disciple: Sepehr Anvari Antediluvian: Methuselah: Anvari are a bloodline of the vampiric Clan Daeva who can only feed on the blood of someone currently high on opiates or opiods. They are looked down on by the rest of their Clan and by vampire society at large for their association with mortal addicts; some worry that they are putting the Masquerade at risk, while others simply see a herd of chemically dependent kine as distasteful. This leaves Anvari in a precarious position, vulnerable to both their fellow Kindred and mortal law enforcement if their ties to the narcotics trade are uncovered.
Anvari only gain half vitae if they attempt to feed on a mortal who is not currently intoxicated by an opium derivative or synthetic substitute; their signature discipline, Nepenthe, allows them to inflict the effects of an opiate high on the target for feeding purposes. Of course, Anvari also experience the effect of the drugs after feeding, which can make them extremely vulnerable. Anvari are also uniquely sensitive to their Vices.
The bloodline traces is origins to Sepehr Anvari, a desert opium merchant. Anvari was Embraced by an opium-addicted sire, and he himself found his clients to be an easy and abundant source of blood. His childer followed the opium trade around the world, pushed nearly to extinction where it was suppressed and flourishing where it ran wild. In modern nights, the largest numbers of Anvari are found throughout Faetasia, in the largest cities markets for recreational opiates, though smaller numbers are found in opium-producing lands.

Disciplines
Celerity Celerity is the Discipline that endows Kindred with supernatural speed. Tales and legends of vampires ascribe to them supernatural speed, the ability to move faster than the eye can see, and even to appear in two places at once as if teleporting. While some of those accounts are exaggerated, Kindred with the Discipline of Celerity can indeed move far faster than any mortal. They appear to blur into nothingness, all others moving as if in slow motion in comparison.
Majesty The Kindred Discipline of preternatural charisma and charm. Its applications allow the practitioner to impose willing submission, to elicit the confessions of dark secrets and more. Majesty is the signature Discipline of clan Daeva. The powers of Majesty are Awe, Revelation, Entracement, Summoning, and Sovereignty.
Nepenthe Nepenthe is a discipline that mimics the feelings produced by drugs, specifically opiates and derived drugs such as Ecstasy or heroin. It is the focus of the Anvari bloodline, an ancient group of drug dealers. Thematically, it is similar to Cachexy and Asphyx, in that its development was partially to aid the user in acquiring drug-tainted Vitae to feed off of.
Vigor Vigor is the Discipline that endows Kindred with the "epic strength of many mortals." The Discipline of Vigor is among the most well-known and basic of vampiric abilities that are known to be possessed by the Kindred; making them several times stronger than the most physically strong mortal. It is among the most dangerous of Disciplines as the preternatural strength it affords allows vampires to perform feats of strength that deform environments and cause significant injures to mortals with ease; physical confrontations between Kindred learned in the Discipline of Vigor can be terrifying and dangerous spectacles to behold, resulting in intense injuries that would kill a mortal instantaneously as well as considerable property damage.

Chain of Command The Chain of Command has been established since Sepehr's operation is quite expansive, and no vampire is an island. The Chain is to keep things running smoothly since he cannot oversee everything himself, and is mostly meant for Fledgelings and Neonates who are used to run his operation.
Kingpin (A.K.A, the Disciple) Sepehr himself. Those with more heft in the operation report directly to Sepehr.
Cook Cooks are separate from the other parts of The Chain, and are directly responsible for processing and manufacture of the drugs that the bloodline use and disperse to mortals and other Anvari (and whomever else wants them, we don't judge). Only Ancillae and Elders can monitor Cooks, and the production sites for the Bloodline.
Dealer Dealers are the more trustworthy Neonates who have proven that they are worthy of overseeing sales and distribution, as well as making sure to clean up any "messes" a Foot Soldier might make. Select Dealers are chosen to monitor drug dens where a majority of victims for the Bloodline are sourced. Dealers report to Sepehr directly, and are given authority over a number of Foot Soldiers each.
Foot Soldier Primarily made up of Anvari Fledgelings, it's the job of a Foot Soldier to sell product to mortals and generally be the Bloodline's ear to the ground. It's also a Foot Soldier's job to keep their eyes open (as much as they can, anyways) for any signs of trouble, and sound the alarm if a den needs moved. Each Foot Soldier works under a Dealer, reporting directly to their Dealer. Foot Soldiers also work the Dens cleaning up after mortals, and supplying them with as much of the product as they can.

The Operation Sepehr was embraced by his drug-addicted sire, so naturally he became not only one of the damned, but an addict as well. His sire was already operating his small opium den in the desert, so Sepehr was more than happy to take over when his time came. Finding the den to be an easy source for the kind of blood he craved so much, Sepehr decided to expand. He did not realize that his addiction would pass on through his bite, nor did he anticipate that the addicts who frequented his opium dens would also be reborn with the addiction still intact. But, this gave Sepehr an idea. He wanted to expand the dens yes, but his problem was supply. With enough childer, he could farm and process poppies himself.
Soon, money made from the mortals was able to be funneled back into the operation. The vampires in his line didn't really need money for themselves; their needs were taken care of. Sepehr was able to supply safe daytime places for them to go to, and all of the opium and mortals they could feed from. With operation expansion came territory and bloodline expansion. Within just a couple centuries, Sepehr had childer and drugs running through all of the major trade hubs around Faetasia and Hemlock.
Seeing his success Grendel granted an audience to Sepehr, and offered to allow him to become a Disciple in his own right. Sepehr, a devout worshipper of the Vampire God, accepted without preamble, happily serving Grendel in any way he can. Since they're independent of their parent clan Deava, Sepehr named his bloodline after himself: Anvari.
Now, they farm, process and sell opium and other drugs derived from the poppies they farm, feeding on the mortals who partake in their particular brand of vice.
