[Rex Kobra] vs Salem Croft (War Games Advantage)

[Salem Croft]

Barely taking any time after the initial chokeslam, Rex would deadlift Salem by the throat for a second finisher, his eyes wide as he was lifted high and unceremoniously slammed back into the canvas to more boos from the irate audience!

"What ******** time is it?" Rex shouted at the crowd. "I'll tell you! Time to end it!" Rex looked down at Salem and tried to lift him from the mat. He would continue trying to get Salem from the mat entirely and into the right position above his head before trying to slam Salem back to the mat with a vicious Crucifix Powerbomb.

Salem was loopy after taking so many shots to the head and spine, two chokeslams back to back, taking the senses from him as Rex hoisted him up for the powerbomb and drove his body back down into the mat!

Rex would approach the downed Salem and would go for the pinfall, hooking his leg and staring out with a sadistic grin.

Salem was the closest thing to out cold without being unconscious, his body unable to answer his mind's commands with the vigor and strength he should have! The referee was ready once again, oblivious to the family interference from before and instead went to count the pin!

ONE! TWO! THREE!

The crowd poured a chorus of boos down upon the Kobras, instigated by their insidious plan to secure the win for Cartwright! As the bell rang, the referee would raise Rex's hand and then move to check on Salem!

"Here is your winner....The High Priest...Rex Kobra!" Ramona entered the ring as Kobra stood in its center with his arm raised. After a moment, he looked over at her and the two had their usual stare and silent conversation. Rex canted his head as he noticed her hesitation. He had felt it before. But he had a way for her to prove her worth and understand the power they held. He ordered Ramona to the corner before dropping down and attempting to deliver a couple of solid fists to Salem's skull to keep him woozy. If he managed it, he would attempt pull Salem to a standing position, readying him for an attack from Ramona.

Salem was starting to recover his senses when Rex started hammering at his head again, the fans jeering even louder as Kobra barked for his sister to prove her loyalty to the Cult! Still debilitated, "Showtime" was picked up like a ragdoll to a child as he drunkenly looked across the ring at the hesitant Ramona!

As the dilemma in the ring continued, the crowd began to stir as from out of the back, Salem's partner Erynys appeared. His eyes flickered from his partner and Rex, then to Ramona who was hunched over in the corner, obviously looking to inflict her own brand of punishment on Salem.

"Ramona, stop! You don't need to do this. Think about this. You know this is too much. Please...stand down." He begged, locking eyes with her.  

[Undead Superstar]

"Ramona," Rex barked. "Listen. Do it. Do it. Break him. Obey the Serpent and strike down our enemy. Strike him. Come on!"

Ramona hesitated, looking between Erynys and Rex. Erynys and Rx. But hearing her brother's words she took a deep breath and charged, aiming to deliver a vicious spear to the already beaten Salem.

Salem coughed as he heard Rex ordering his sister around, his fuzzy vision preventing him from noticing his partner Erynys was even present. Things seemed to happen in slow motion as Ramona charged at him, the "Copperhead Cowboy" smiling a little as he said something aloud.

"Kyra misses her aunt." he spoke, just as the woman ran him through the chest with a vicious spear!

Ramona stood, looking conflicted and confused about Salem's words. Rex snapped her attention away by putting a hand on her shoulder. "Now, lock in him the vice. Do it. Make him scream. Make him tap. Break him." Ramona took a step toward Salem but stopped and took a step back. Rex snarled at her for a moment before dropping to Salem's side with the intention of locking him in the Anaconda Vice himself. "Fine. I'll show you how it's done."

He held his head in his hands in frustration and anger as Ramona reluctantly delivered the spear. As Rex moved in for the kill, he could stand by no longer and he charged to the ring and began throwing haymakers on the cult leader as he tried desperately to get his partner out of harm's way. He kept laying in rights and lefts to Rex to get him to release his partner and stood between the fallen men.

He turned his attention to Ramona who seemed frozen and conflicted, half wanting to step in and help her brother, yet half wanting no further part in the assault.

He got himself to his feet and stepped between the fallen Rex and Ramona. He cautiously held his hands out to her. "Ramona, please. That's enough. You and Rex made your point. It's over. Please...it's over. You don't have to do this. There's a way out."

He swallowed hard. "Please...do this for me. And if not for me, for Kyra. Think of your niece. She loves you. She wouldn't want you to do this. She misses you. She doesn't want you to hurt her papa.

Ramona stood frozen as Rex got up from the assault. Rex looked between them and placed a hand on her shoulder. Ramona gave a nod and exited the ring. Rex followed leading his sister away and up the ramp. Rex turned to face the ring halfway up and pointed at the pair. "See you at Wargames, Salem! Looking forward to another family reunion." Rex let out a cruel laugh before leading his sister the rest of the way up the ramp and to the back.  

[Salem Croft]

Salem hurt in places he didn't know he had, feeling like he got into a fist fight with a dump truck! But the more seconds that passed, the more "Showtime" saw more clearly, coughing out a chuckle as he took notice of Eryn standing protectively over him, raising a hand to ask for an assist with a pained smile.

"Eheh...you here to look pretty or help me up, partner?" he teased, trying to hide his pain with humor.

He watched as the pair left, keeping a wary on in case they tried a sneak attack. When they had vanished from the stage, he looked down at his partner and grabbed him by the hand and gingerly pulled him up.

"Just making sure we didn't have any other vultures waiting in the wings." He wrapped Salem's around his neck and helped him out of the ring and back up the ramp.
