[Erynys Reich] vs Trent

Trent would keep a grip on the ropes. Slowly beginning to climb, hearing a voice from behind him egg him on. Just like everyone else, they want to push him. Antagonize him for getting to this point despite his best efforts. Trent continued to fight back to his feet.

His eyes glinted maniacally as he watched Trent struggle to his feet. He nodded excitedly. He had been starting to get bored as Trent was making it all too easy for him, but judging now, it appeared a fire had been lit under his a**.

He crouched behind him, waiting to see what his next move would be.

Trent would hear the taunts. He knew where he was. Trent would rush toward the direction of the voice and look to hit a jumping lariat!

He blinked in surprise as Trent launched himself at him with a flying lariat that hit him square and knocked him into the ref who took a nasty tumble outside the ring.  

[Cartwright]

The crowd gasps as the referee is wiped-out.

Suddenly the crowd begins to boo as the WWFG Owner, General Manager and Chief Executive Officer, Cartwright, makes his way towards the ring with his Head Of Creative, Staff Member Russo following him.

If only there was some sort of Virtual Assistant Referee for when this sort of accident occurred....

Cartwright and Staff Member Russo lead The Harris Twins, Omen, Corey Theta and Pineapple Carter with them.

JR: "What on Earth could this lot possibly have in mind now that the referee is out of it?!"

King: "Whatever they want to, JR! Cartwright is The Boss!"

They all enter the ring together.

Erynys Reich and Trent look around at everyone, wondering what is going on but expecting the worst.

Cartwright points towards them.

Cartwright: "Get HIM!"

Suddenly, Erynys Reich is mauled by Cartwright's goons.

JR: "I don't understand.
What has Erynys done to deserve this?!"

King: "Look at Trent, he's so confused!"

What just happened? This is the same Cartwright that Trent has had to deal with for years, even when they would take steps away from one another. The person who created the parody of himself who was now known only as the Butler. This is a person that Trent has struggled to get the best of, and now he comes in this very ring during his lowest point to beat down the person he is trying to beat to end this drought of success?

"What are you doing!?" Trent said staring at Cart. Conveying more emotion than he has in months. But before Cartwright even respond, Trent switched his gaze to Erynys who was dealing with a beat down of multiple men. Men who may even transcend the title of men.

As he recovered from the strike, he heard the change in the crowd as the owner and his staff member as well as a group of other superstars appeared with them. He narrowed his eyes at Trent, thinking that this was his plan B to cover up his poor performance. However the genuine confusion on Trent's face soon put that theory to bed.

He turned his attention back to the men who by this time had entered the ring. He blinked as the order was given and he soon found himself set upon by the five men.

He did his best to fight them off with rights and lefts before the damn numbers game caught up with him.  

[Cartwright]

The crowd loudly boos as Erynys Reich is beaten down by five men, the numbers advantage is simply too great!

Staff Member Russo alerts Cartwright that the referee is showing signs of life.

Cartwright: "OK, that should do it.
It's all yours, Trent."

As quickly as they arrived, the gang vanishes up the ramp like thieves in the night, serving Trent a victory on a silver platter.

JR: "We've seen Cartwright abuse his power before but this, this is outrageous!"

King: "Maybe he has a bet on the outcome, I'm sure he'll put the money in to our wages!"

He lay there spent from the beating he had been given. He did his best to try back to his feet, but his body had turned traitor on him and refused to obey. He gave a hate filled glare at Trent who was looking on confused and conflicted wondering if he would actually go through getting such a tainted victory. Surely if he wanted the victory, he would earn it himself rather than take the easy way out.

After a few moments, he managed to get himself up to at least his knees.

While Erynys got beaten. Trent stood by and watched. He didn't jump in for the save. It was a slaughter and he watched. once the hounds had left, people thought it was obvious that he would go for the win. Right?

Trent would stand conflicted, staring at his broken down opponent, and then back to the crew retreating to the back. He would keep bouncing between the two for several moments, until finally his opponent got back to his feet.

Trent would stare at his opponent, shaking his head no to his opponent. No for him to stay down before he finishes what the others started? Or shaking his head no that he never meant for this to happen and is trying to rationalize the way he responded to his greatest enemy jumping his opponent while he did nothing about it.

He kept his eyes on Trent the whole time as he slowly roused himself to his feet and he tilted his head as Trent shook his head at him. Whether it was his way of telling him to stay down or his way of saying he had nothing to do with the attack, Erynys couldn't tell. However the fact that Trent allowed him to get to his feet before he made his decision stuck with him. In a bizarre way, it was as if Trent respected him enough to know that if he was to go out, he wanted it to be on his feet, not on his knees.

He moved slowly towards Trent and extended a hand. "To the end." He rumbled.

Trent watched his opponent get up and slowly approach him with a hand out. He stared down at the hand and back into the eyes of Erynys. Emotions running high knowing that this is his best shot. But he just can't seem to do it. Without any words, Trent would step backwards and walk outside of the ring. Once he started walking up the ramp, he would turn from his opponent. Letting the official count him out as he would make his way to the back.

He tilted his head as Trent looked at the outstretched hand and then into his eyes before he took a step backwards and then exited the ring. The crowd voiced their displeasure as Erynys surveyed the crowd in silence before turning his attention back to the retreating Trent. As the ref finished with the count and rang the bell, Erynys shook off the ref's attempt to raise his hand in victory and instead exited the ring and made his way to the back.
