xxxx X xxxxContinuing Education for Adult Wizardsxxxx X xxxx

It has frequently been pointed out that not everybody knows what they want to do at 13 years old. Arguably, almost nobody does. Thus, the mostly-canon system of selecting and being locked into electives, which will determine your career options, at such a young age is both unrealistic and pretty ridiculous. Not to mention, even if a 13-year-old is absolutely positive they'll want to be a Healer, a Magizoologist, and Potioneer, etc, they might start their career and realize they were wrong, and it just isn't for them. But, they chose their electives thinking that's what they'd spend the rest of their life doing, and now their options for alternatives are limited. So, what do they do?

Previously, there wasn't much they could do. But, we're changing that, by introducing the new Continuing Education for Adult Wizards program. Via this program, characters will now be able to attend Hogwarts-equivalent courses as adults, giving them the ability to acquire the missing OWL and NEWT scores necessary for a career change. Drop-out students also have the ability to take whatever courses necessary to acquire a certificate equivalent to what they would've received as a Hogwarts Graduate.

The program will be Ministry-run, with various options to suit different needs. There are individual courses and study programs*, so that people can choose the path best suited to their long-term goals. The program costs are outlined below. All money raised via the program will go towards the fund for underprivileged Hogwarts students. Financial Aid is available. All courses are available as both day and night time courses, meeting on either Monday/Wednesday/Friday, Tuesday/Thursday, or on weekends.

* Those looking to go into certain careers, such as wandmaking, might be better suited applying for an apprenticeship under a master. If you're not sure, talk to the mods to figure out what makes most sense for your character!

xxxX Individual Coursesxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Witches and Wizards lacking only one or two required OWL or NEWT scores for a specific intended career may take the necessary courses through this program in order to acquire the requirements*. Courses may also be taken just for the sake of taking them, if one is curious about a subject they overlooked in school, or wants a refresher. Each course runs for one month. Courses are 24 galleons each.

* Certain careers will require the full study program to be taken, due to the technical and advanced nature of the magic necessary.
