Alistair's Home

When searching for a home to live in, Alistair had been intentionally searching for the oldest building in the neighborhood. Specifically asking for a more abandoned place of living, the man was taken to a house which once belonged to a family centuries prior. The human family had died of cancerous illnesses which apparently were brought on by a curse from a demon, and everything in the house remained. It seemed fitting that he would choose to live there. Most of the previous furniture remains, the plant life that had claimed the windows and the walls outside of the home were left in place, even encouraged to remain so that they could continue to act as a natural curtain to block the light out of the home. Though he restored most of the furniture that could be kept, he left the peeling wallpaper and most of the original appliances. Bathtubs, sinks, countertops, cabinets, and the old portraits. Preserved and restored, but left where they once were. Ali is a believer of leaving things as they were and appreciating it as it is and not trying to change what isn't broken. The home that he came from in Romania was much like this one, so he had immediately fell in love with it, even if it might be too eerie and creepy to others. It is the perfect old and darkened place for the demon and his companions to thrive.

                  Bedroom:
Alistair's bedroom, much like his home, clearly shows its age. Much of the furniture he decided to keep and restore, is from the original home and was there when he moved in. He is a lover of old things and untouched places being someone who grew up in an old mansion centered in a forest. The wallpaper is peeling, but he can't bring himself to replace it, as it reminds him of the home he left back in Romania. Instead of using blinds, he has vines covering the windows, blocking out direct light, but letting in enough that it won't hurt him. Because he doesn't really watch it, he does not own a TV, and the only electric device he seems to have is his phone. While otherwise tidy and free from dust, he does have the habit of leaving papers of sketches and art supplies all around the room.

                  Bedroom:
Alistair doesn't really mess with the guest room either. It looked like it had belonged to two children, and he has put off taking out the double beds since he moved in. It is eerie, but he feels like it would be too cruel to the memory of the people who were here before to remove them. Instead, like with his own bedroom, he changed out the mattresses and bedding before cleaning the rest of the room.

                  Bathrooms:
Like the rest of the house, the bathroom has all of the old appliances still in tact. While the tub has paint chipping from it, and the mirror has permanent scratches that don't give a perfect reflection, he still enjoys getting ready for his day in this room. While there is also a bathroom downstairs(as he figured by the claw bathtub inside the room), it didn't seem like it was ever used for that, as the appliances(sink, cabinets, and the toilet) were never installed when the house was built. Instead, he uses the second "bathroom" as a storage room like the previous tenants seemed to do.

                  Living Room:
Instead of really using it as a room of entertainment, Alistair had turned it into a study of sorts for himself. He is using a lot of the old appliances again, as well as his own that he brought from Romania. Including a very old looking record player, a music box, and an old camera. Like his bedroom, there are papers and art supplies scatter about his desk and on some of the empty chairs. Instead of a television, it has a fireplace that he likes to stare at from time-to-time when he decides to sleep in the room on some furs he found back in Sweden.

                  Kitchen:
It is obvious by now that the kitchen will match the rest of the house. Though clean, it is certainly old with its worn down cabinets, glistening china, candelabra chandelier, and barrels of aged wine. He loves to reminisce about his ye olden times while he makes his breakfast.

                  Garage:
Instead of using the garage for a car, Alistair has turned it into another workspace. On occasion, he might take one of the older furniture in the home into the garage and work on restoring the old wood, or he will pain something large that he doesn't want to get ruined. Instead of a house, it seems like Alistair's place is one big art studio. Always left with traces of his inspirations.
