Yeah, 2020 just continued into the new year for me. I learned a good friend of mine passed away recently and I became distracted.

Order only matters in combat, and even then there are exceptions like reactions and real-life issues where you need to post out of order.
So by all means, post as you can.
Edit: This can change from DM to DM. But with the exceptions of Live Tabletop games, most DM's I know are willing to work with a player and don't mind about the order outside of combat.
Here there are days in between people's posts. Just the nature of Play by post. So order isn't a big issue.

Honestly I wasn't really sure what to react with short of "Why the hell is the Bard sitting here?" Most everyone was interacting with the NPC, so I followed suit.

Ill try again next time. I didn't think you were holding us up. I just thought it was weird to go edit your old post instead of making a new one after the new information had been presented. That said, we are moving hella slow.
