____________________ I do it because I can I can because I want to _________________________________ The young woman nodded at Rogue whenever he welcomed her and she glanced at the woman named 'One' when she was introduced. A subtle raise of her eyebrows would imply the female was impressed with her lady superior's physique. She didn't take time to dwell on this, however, as she could almost feel every eye in the room on her; especially from the seated one who visibly tilted their masked head at her presence. This was a common practice when someone walked in to a room and interrupted a conversation, but the feeling of uneasiness was present each time regardless. Her eyes surveyed the other reapers as she moved to an empty spot in front of a bookshelf. She was aware she'd been asked to sit, but she'd prefer to stand for now, still cradling her mask against her tummy as she did so. The somewhat casual demeanor Rogue had beforehand quickly turned dangerous when he advised of what would happen if any of them put a soul in harm's way. She mentally noted that this was not something she'd want to learn about firsthand. Her attention was averted back to the female superior when she started speaking. Another, more prominent eyebrow raise would occur here as One laid out just how important her position really was. The purple haired woman swallowed at the thought. Naturally a woman so busy wouldn't have time to hang around for too long. Her violet retinas followed as her superior handed four cards to their 'supervisor' then literally vanished in to thin air. Her mouth formed a surprised little "o" for a moment before she quickly rearranged her features back in to a politely blank stare. From where she stood she could see the excitement across the face of the other female newbie at One's departure. A flicker of amusement flashed across her own face before she returned her gaze to the man she'd entered with Chamberlain, who wasted no time in passing out the cards he was handed. She stepped closer to Rogue's desk to allow him more room to move between her and the white haired gentleman who'd also opted to stand for their meeting. Her eyes lit up when the card flashed in front of her before taking it from Chamberlain with a quiet, polite "Thank you" . He explained the Reaper number, hers read as 'Reaper No. 193485'. It was a large number to remember, but it was an honor to be hand selected, no matter what order it had been done in. She read the number to herself along with "S1? I wonder what that means." The lady hadn't meant to draw attention to herself or ask so abruptly but apparently her body felt she'd been too quiet for too long and needed to say something out loud. As quickly as she'd arrived, it was time to leave. She followed the group out of the office with a small wave to her new boss Rogue along the way. She felt a lump in her throat as Chamberlain said they were going to begin training immediately. She'd never felt more unprepared for anything in her life- er- death? At the gesture of his hand she took a few brief steps in the direction he pointed to get the group's momentum going and to not block the pathway for the other party members. It was almost amusing how polite and direct Chamberlain was addressing their situation. He mentioned they would be working in pairs. With a quick glance at her options, but with no offense to the males, she side-stepped and positioned herself next to the other female. She smiled politely at the other woman before bringing her mask from the protective position across her stomach to perch it on top of her head. The card with her reaper number was slipped in to the camouflaged pocket of her ruffled skirt. She chimed in again at Chamberlain's question. "A tour, please" While she couldn't speak for the whole group, she personally felt this order would be more beneficial to her. After all, she definitely didn't want to start fighting or whatever would be expected of them without being given the opportunity to find her bearings.

|| Reaper No. 188349 [Where:] [With:] [Feeling:] [Outfit:] [OOC:]
╔═══════════════════ The white-haired man’s eyes followed Chamberlain as he approached One to receive the cards presented. In particular, he noted Chamerlain’s body language regarding his superior. It held grace and reverence, a deep and unparalleled sense of respect. The man in white could only assume that Chamberlain placed the utmost loyalty and trust in One, though at this point it was understandable as to why. As it stood, it was reasonable to assume that One stood second in command to the Goddess of Death herself, the air she carried and the veneration she inspired in her fellow reapers already said as much. On the flipside, that also made her incredibly dangerous should insubordination rear it’s head. That wasn’t to say that Rogue and Chamberlain did not also carry the same air, but it was clear that with the current state of affairs, One was the highest form of command here.
The man in white did not ignore Chamberlain or Rogue however. After all, he would be under their wing from now on, so it was wise to pay them with the same respect as he would One. Not like he had intended to show disrespect in the first place, doing so would have been uncalled for and very unprofessional. The man in white would go on to listen to Chamberlain as he explained the purpose behind the cards, which he then presented to each of them. They each possessed their official Reaper Designation number. Taking his card, he bowed his head. “Thank you.” He said quietly, before looking it over. “No. 188349…” he pondered as he read the number. So, this was to be both his number and his official name as a reaper… “Interesting…” He noted the peculiar code on the card as well, ‘S1’. What could it have meant? Surely it held some relevance otherwise it wouldn’t be there. However, he knew better than to blatantly list off questions, especially when others were speaking, so for now, he remained silent.
Chamberlain would draw him rom this thoughts as the superior encouraged the use of monikers. The man in white arched a brow in intrigue as Chamberlain revealed his and Rogue’s own numbers. “Monikers, hmm?” he thought to himself. Admittedly, he’d find it a little awkward to name himself. However, it would be good to have so the colleagues he would no doubt make here didn’t recite his number every time they spoke to him. Regardless, he made sure to note the formality of addressing themselves by their official names whilst reporting to higher command, whether verbally or written. The revelation had left him curious about One…did her moniker also refer to her being the first of the Reapers? If so it would explain why superiors like Rogue and Chamberlain regarded her with the courtesy they did as well as the admiration portrayed by the reapers in the foyer.
Regardless, once Chamberlain bid them to follow him, it was clear that the meeting had been adjourned. Following the superior out, his attention was captured as Chamberlain revealed that their training was to begin immediately. The violet-haired woman caught 188349’s eye as she curiously took a step towards the blonde. He also noted that she did so when the prospect of working in pairs was addressed by Chamberlain. Not that he was offended, everyone was entitled to their choices after all. He then cast his eyes to the lad, who like himself, hadn’t spoken that much. As it stood, it seemed the pairs would be obvious. No matter, 188349 and the lad would have time enough to establish communication with each other.
Chamberlain’s offer of a tour of The Well before training commenced caught 188349’s interest. The option appealed to him as it would better acquaint them with the locale. He turned to the violet-haired woman again who cast her vote for a tour. Looking the Chamberlain he also cast his vote, “I second this.” With that, he awaited the response of the others.

Reaper No. 166002 ~ Profile ~ Cards? The Lad's eyes would look on with intrigue as Chamberlain proceeded to make his way around the group, quirking an eyebrow as each card began to glow infront of its respective owner until the Man inevitably reached him. He felt his fingers twitch hesitantly, the light reflecting in his eyes as his own card became illuminate... Bowing his head respectfully to his Superior, he unfolded an arm and reached out his left hand, taking the offered item before flipping it over to observe what it held for him on the other side.
'166002...S1?' Tracing his thumb across the font to see if it was embossed he lifted his gaze, turning his attention towards the newest recruit as she voiced the question which had also been raised in his own mind. It would be curious to see what their cards read and where they stood in comparison to him - they certainly all looked older, but that didn't mean their numbers reflected that - they had all started their journey in the back of the same car afterall. When Chamberlain mentioned Rogue and his own numbers it became clear that regardless of appearances, the four had arrived nearly one-hundred-thousand Reapers after their commanders... 'Whoa...' Reverence aside, he proceeded to twist the card between his fingers, listening as Chamberlain went into a little more detail about their designated numbers before opening his mouth to question exactly what a 'Moniker' or indeed a 'Designation' was - Thankfully the man answered this by naming himself and Rogue as an example, but the Youth knew well that he would have to break his silence eventually...or would he?
So what sort of name could he claim? He tilted his head in thought, casting his gaze around the room as though looking for inspiration before coming up short... Maybe it would come to him in time? Either way, this was clearly going to take some thinking... He watched as Chamberlain bowed to Rogue before turning for the door - This was it! He straightened up a little, pushing away from the arm of the chair where he had been leaning, they were finally going their separate ways! He felt a brief burst of excitement at the thought that he could drop the 'stoic act' for a moment or two and step away from the group to explore on his own before feeling his heart plummet into his boots as Reaper. 85172 mentioned they would begin their training immediately... 'Wait? What...?!' His eyes locked upon the man, his brow furrowing deeply before realising it must all part of the introduction...
He would have deliberately hung around at the back of the group at this point, but it was clear that lingering within Rogue's office - as Grand as it was - perhaps wasn't the best idea, not to mention the fact that Chamberlain had been swift to bring up the rear, ensuring all had left the room before closing the door behind them. With disappointments aside, he would follow the group in silence, not necessarily scowling at the world outside his mask, but certainly feeling a growing impatience towards being tethered to the team...
Almost to make his mood that little bit worse, at the mention of working in 'Pairs' the Reaper who had arrived last swiftly shuffled over towards the only other female member of the group - Observing said movement, the Lad's jaw dropped open slightly. Stunned, yet more than a little irked as this meant that by making her choice, she had left him with... '...You've gotta be kidding me...' had his features been visible behind his mask, his frown would have deepened, then he'd have rolled his eyes before looking over at the man with whom he would soon be partnered, 'Typical...'
The female's redeeming moment would be when she requested a Tour...Although it meant they would still be together as a group, it did mean he'd at least have the opportunity to get a feel for the place before they plunged into their training. His next surprise would be to hear that the White-Haired-Man was also in favour of this option... "Hn." Perhaps to 'Third' this decision without speaking a word, the Lad would nod his head, implying that he agreed with their choices before allowing his gaze to turn towards the only member not to have yet made a decision. Would she get to choose? Or would numbers win outright?

No, I couldn't keep you safe•••
Her eyes watched One interacting with Chamberlain, handing him some sort of cards. The way he bowed to and took the cards from her was so fluid it almost didn't look real. The man sparked something in her; a feeling of familiarity. His actions were always proper, excessively polite. She felt a connection to that but couldn't place where the feeling came from. She herself was always trying to be as polite to people as she could be. Especially work partners. As Chamberlain reached her the platinum blonde would stand and take her card from the elegant man with both hands while bowing her head in thanks to him. Her hair would come over her shoulders and rest atop her chest when she returned to an upright standing position.
Looking down at the card it would shine her info brilliantly into her eyes. 'Reaper No. 182949!' She thought happily to herself. Finally a name! She would repeat the number in her head happily as she looked to the others. They all seemed somewhat pleased in their own ways. At one point she would take not of the S1 on the card and pondered what it meant. Perhaps she would ask Chamberlain when she got the chance. But for now, she would wait as he explained what was to happen next. They were to report verbally or written in these names but were encouraged to make nicknames for themselves. Her eyes would widen slightly at that. 'A nickname! I can come up with a nickname for myself?!' This was a true problem for her. Though she was beyond excited she was also terrified at coming up with a nickname for herself. What if it wasn't good? Or worse, what if it was a bad nickname that stuck! Oh, that would be dreadful! Eternity with a terrible nickname that people would always call you by. The mere thought brought her mood down.
Shaking her head slightly she pulled herself back and decided she would deal with that later. 182949 would follow the group when Chamberlain would usher them out. A small smile would return to her face when the idea of training starting now was brought up. Finally something physical to do! Something to occupy her mind instead of worrying about her potentially stupid nickname, or if she was going to be able to do this job well. Just sweat and pain. But her mind was brought back to reality when she felt the presence of another near her as they walked. Looking to her left she would see the only other female of the group smiling up at her while putting her mask atop her head. Smiling weakly back she would realize that Chamberlain was allowing them to pair up. It would appear her partner was already decided as the men had also already paired up. She didn't hate the idea of working with the other female, she didn't hate the idea of working with any of them honestly. She was just caught slightly off guard since her head was in the clouds.
Chamberlain would then offer them to train now or take a tour. Looking to each of her companions they would vote for the tour. Mentally sighing she would close her eyes for a second before putting on a weak smile and speaking. "I guess we're going on a tour then." 182949 would say in an even tone. She wanted to train, she wanted to train till she could work. Anything to keep busy. The longer she went without doing something to occupy her mind the worse her thoughts would get. Crossing her arms under her chest she would walk in sync with the purple-colored female. Her eyes following Chamberlain's back as he began the tour, her look more serious than it was meant to look but this was her resting face. Her finger would tap her forearm quietly as her heels clicked audibly against the floor.
If there's trust I will betray•••

____________________ I do it because I can I can because I want to _________________________________ Reaper 193485 watched as the males paired up. The younger one's shoulders seemed to droop and for a moment she felt guilty about so hastily pairing herself with the other woman. However, they had nothing but time at this point. So, who was to say they couldn't get to know each other better and potentially swap later on? Her focus shifted to Chamberlain as he reassured her partner the tour would ultimately benefit them. "Off to a great start here." she thought bitterly to herself. "Who else can I disappoint within five minutes of opening my mouth?" The new reaper pushed those bitter thoughts to the back of her head for now and simply plastered a polite smile on her features while they followed Chamberlain up the large hallway. Subconsciously, her hands had folded over her stomach again. Without the mask there, it felt more like a defensive position than anything. They followed Chamberlain on to a balcony where she could admire the hustle and bustle of the souls from what looked like a couple of floors above. Her hands moved from her abdomen to gently rest on the balcony railing; the dark purple locks that framed her face fell forward a bit as she looked down on the crowd below. She tucked these strands behind her ear when she noticed Chamberlain's obvious change in tone at his last sentence. Curious violet eyes observed him as she waited for him to continue. He spoke again detailing how the Gods worked, which was a truly fascinating subject in her opinion. It was also so captivating how Chamberlain's entire demeanor and tone seemed to change and flow with his words. She could palpably feel his sorrow over Unscheduled Death. A spark seemed to ignite in her over learning they were the ones that would be responsible for helping the Gods determine what happened to those souls and help guide them accordingly. The anticipation of being in such an important role seemed to swell within her at the thought. She was so deep in these thoughts, the clapping of Chamberlain's hands seemed to bring her back to reality, and she had to skip a step or two to keep up with his brisk pace as they moved on. She started following his advice before it was even given as far as truly taking everything in. When they'd arrived at the triple set of doors which were - in her opinion- intimidatingly large, she noted the ornate designs near the top which at first glance would seem uniform but upon closer inspection would reveal nuances of individual detail that she guessed would help them remember and differentiate between the three of them over time. Her raised head lowered as Chamberlain opened the center door. She followed him in to what appeared to be the most beautiful meadow she'd ever laid eyes on. A rush of warmth kissed her skin as she stood amongst the flowers and an audible gasp escaped her throat. She meandered a bit away from the group and bent her knees to lower herself to a squatting position, where she ran her right fingertips over the petals. They were silky to the touch and so fragrant! Reaper 193485 inhaled deeply, and her exhale appeared more as a contented sigh than anything else. She stood as Chamberlain asked their opinion on the garden's beauty. "Absolutely breathtaking" the female admitted as she strolled back, closer to the party. "Is it always daylight in here?" she questioned, as she remembered the car ride being very dark, and she was aware that not so much time had passed since entering The Well that a full afternoon would be upon them. Her eyes strayed from Chamberlain to watch the other souls as she waited for his answer.

|| Reaper No. 188349 [Where:] [With:] [Feeling:] [Outfit:] [OOC:]
╔═══════════════════ 188349 observed the remaining reactions of his fellow recruits closely. While himself and the violet haired girl seemed more than satisfied with a tour, the other two appeared less than enthused. The lad definitely struck him as the withdrawn type, merely providing a small ‘Hn’ in response to Chamberlain’s offer. The blonde’s disappointment could be observed both in her words and her body language. It seemed as though she was eager to start her training more so than anything else. 188349 took the knowledge he gained from these reactions in stride, after all, he would need to learn more about his fellow reapers if he was to have a working relationship with them.
Regardless, with the tour now underway, 188349 listened to Chamberlain as the superior lead the group to the lobby. There, they halted at a balcony overlooking the foyer’s luxurious grandeur, reapers going about their duties, new souls making their entrances. It was here Chamberlain elaborated further into the true nature of the Reapers, the Gods and the Souls. As the superior spoke, his features seemed to drop, his demeanour becoming saddened. 188349 had to wonder, just how long Chamberlain had been a reaper? Given his position at the Well, he assumed it had to be quite a while. A century? A millennium? Longer? Regardless of how long Chamberlain had been here occupying his current role, it seemed that not even he had gotten used to the unfortunate intricacies of the world. In was interesting, to see Chamberlain almost reminisce, it was clear the information being relayed to them has been witnessed by the reaper, time and time again.
One point that caught 188349’s intrigue was the process by which the Gods deduced and “scheduled” the deaths of the living. Furthermore, Chamberlain explained that on odd occasions, some hidden element, some obscure detail or sudden happenstance could lead to an “unscheduled” death where the person dies before their appointed time. It had got 188349 to thinking, what of his own death? He had to wonder was his death scheduled or unscheduled? Did some outside influence inevitably result in his demise? If only he could remember. Perhaps that was a reason a reaper’s memories were revoked in the first place? They had already witnessed first-hand how volatile the reactions of the souls could be. Who was to say reapers would not be prone to the same reactions were they still in possession of their memories? To all intents and purposes, the removal of their memories could have been more vital to their performance as reapers than anything else. Regardless, from what Chamberlain was telling them, they’re new ‘lives’ as reapers was sure to be busy indeed.
With a clap of his hands, Chamberlain decided it was high time to continue, leading onwards. As they walked, the superior detailed the facilities that the Well provided. It was almost funny how ‘normal’ Chamberlain made everything sound, especially since they were basically in purgatory. A fitness centre, a business centre, a swimming pool, a dining room, gardens? It all felt so nostalgic, but then again, perhaps that was the point. Something to ease the souls into their newfound states with something that elicited a semblance of familiarity, of their past lives. Not that 188349 would complain, if anything the set up seemed most efficient and professional, very much to his liking.
They came to a brief halt outside a triplet of doors each of which led to three different sets of gardens. 188349 raised a brow slightly. “Three?” he pondered. Once Chamberlain opening the middle set of doors, they all entered what was all at once unexpected and would have possibly floored most people at a first glance. It was as if they had all been transported to a vast countryside, fields spanned as far as the eye could see, vibrant colours of different flowers all culminated and entwined in beaming patterns, aided by a sun that shone bright in the blue skies overhead. Off in the distance, there were souls wandering through the grassland. Some of them children, running and playing, others laying in the flowerbeds, gazing up to the sky and some simply taking in the grandeur of it all. 188349 gave a look back to where they entered from and noticed only the single set of doors standing there with no other form of structure surrounding it. Looking back a head, he took in the sight of the garden. A sense of calm came over him…He breathed in the fresh air that passed them by, releasing a deep content sigh.

Reaper No. 166002 ~ Profile ~ What was it about this White-Haired-Man that he didn't like? Okay, he was still a little peeved about the opportunity to choose his partner being taken away from him, but it wasn't necessarily the scholar's fault, was it? Besides, what was to say the guy didn't like him either? The Youth turned his head ever so slightly to scrutinise the male a little more, he still felt reluctant to remove his mask and so made a brief observation before focusing his gaze back on the space before them as they reached a balcony which opened out to reveal the Grand Lobby from before.
Curious as to what it all looked like from above, 166002 approached the railing, placing his left elbow upon the flat surface before leaning sideways just enough to peer down at the room below. It certainly wasn't a height he would like to fall from - especially now he knew it was highly likely to end in considerable pain - but it was still an impressive view and held his attention for some time before he eventually tired of watching the souls and turned away, now leaning his back against the railing as he cast a glance towards Chamberlain who was explaining how even though many deaths might appear to be similar, no two were ever exactly the same. This intrigued him as there had to be hundreds, if not thousands of souls finding their way through the foyer each day, but it would be the man's expression which drew his attention next and he would tilt his head inquisitively as Chamberlain's features changed from the pleasant and welcoming smile to something that hinted perhaps at a past experience which still held a presence in the back of the man's mind... It was all just speculation of course, for all he knew the man could still suffer bouts of indigestion - if they could still feel pain, what was to say they didn't share similar troubles with those who were still living? Still, he couldn't get lost in his thoughts again, they were on a tour afterall and what would be the point of agreeing with such an option if he wasn't going to listen?!
The next part of Chamberlain's explanation seemed to lay out a rather important part of their role as Reapers - Not only were they Guides, leading the souls to a safe venue where they could rest whilst working through their choices as well as the instances that had been taken out of their hands, the Reapers also functioned as Investigators, seeking out answers for the lost, tracking down who a soul may have been and how they had come to pass, before reporting this all back to the Gods who could then set them on the right course to their next destination... It was pretty deep if you thought about it and the Youth might very well have spent more time mulling this over had the sudden clap of hands not snapped him from his thoughts... Green eyes flicked towards the source of the sound and he pushed away from the railing as Chamberlain appeared to take off once again as the tour continued.
It was inspiring to hear of how many different facilities the Well had going for its guests, the sound of luxurious rooms, swimming pools and of course, Grand Dining certainly held some appeal for the Lad, but what piqued the Youth's interest most as they approached a set of three doors, was what Chamberlain said as he took the handles of the door in the centre before looking back... 'You'll thank me later,'
'He sounds really proud...' Hearing that final comment, the Lad couldn't help but feel grateful once more for the mask he had yet to remove... He'd hate to have to feign awe when they finally stepped outside into the darkness - There may have been three doors, but he could only imagine they all hid long corridors which led to different sections of 'Garden' where one could wander in their free time... The image immediately conjured to his mind were large garish walkways lined with roses and other fancy flora, perhaps a bench, a statue or two and maybe some tree cover somewhere... The last thing he expected when his feet touched the soft Earth on the other side was the fact they had actually emerged into a Field!
Stunned, he stood there for a moment, eyes widened by the sight... How could there be so much outside when they had just...? Alright, the place was Big, but...It was daytime too...! Had they been inside for that long...? Narrowing his gaze as he tried to rationalise what his eyes were seeing he spun round, taking a few paces away from the group - glancing back through the doorway as he passed it by - before pausing once more as he realised the double doors appeared to stand there all on their own... 'How...?' Now standing with his back to the group, he could only wonder what they must be thinking... When Chamberlain had said to absorb all he could see, he had never imagined being faced with such a sight... '...How is this even possible?'
Glancing back over his shoulder, he watched from the corner of his vision as the Purple-Haired female crouched down, running her hands across the flowers before hearing the White-Hired Male inhale a deep breath, at this point he took a breath of his own, closing his eyes as he picked up on an array of different scents - and not to forget the sounds... He didn't need to be facing them to hear there were children running around, that and the soft chatter of voices as people enjoyed the sunlight and the cooling breeze that complimented the warmth of the day... This was Heaven...!

No, I couldn't keep you safe•••
182949 would smile slightly at the elegant man's words. He was kind and gentle. It made her feel at ease while still not really understanding what's going on. But for now, she would quietly follow the group as they made their way to wherever Chamberlain was taking them. The older-looking gentlemen would explain how the hotel worked. How it was deliberately modeled after real-world places to help spirits feel more comfortable as they made peace with their fates and crossover. The group would pass a large set of doors, almost too large, and come to a stop at the balcony. Joining the rest at the balcony railing and looked down. Even now there was a constant stream of people coming and going. Reapers and common souls alike. It was somehow comforting that they weren't really alone during all of this.
Their superior would go on to explain that each soul and their situations were fundamentally different. At this point, 182949 closed her eyes and just listened to the sound of the busy bottom floor and Chamberlain as he continued. Even with her eyes closed, she could tell that the man was pained by the knowledge he possessed. What he said made sense. It wasn't always one's own choices that ultimately lead to their demise. Sometimes others would have a hand in it. But that didn't stop that information from devastating people after the fact. The truth wasn't always kind. The older gentlemen would continue to explain how the gods functioned and that they weren't in fact cruel and that they could predict things down to the smallest detail. But even gods sometimes couldn't predict the unpredictability of man thus they had scheduled deaths and unscheduled deaths.
This made her ponder for a moment as she opened her eyes slowly. Was her death unscheduled? Or was she right on time? Had she lived a good life? Or was being a Reaper her chance at redemption. The thought made her heart beat faster and her breath pick up slightly. Closing her eyes and gripping the rail she willed the thoughts away. She just caught the part at how they were going to be responsible for finding these lost souls and shepherding them to The Well. This sentiment allowed her to feel a bit better about herself. No matter what had happened before, she had the chance to do good things now and she would pour her all into it once she was given the chance. With the sudden sound of Chamberlain's hands clapping together, she would once again open her eyes. Releasing the railing she would walk in rhythm with her teammate as the group followed Chamberlain further into The Well.
As the unit walked with their mentor she would take note that Chamberlain sounded more upbeat as they walked along. He would go on to explain what all The Well had to offer as far as amenities go. Gym, pool, lounge, business center, luxury rooms, everything you'd expect from a 5-Star resort. But before long the group would arrive at a set of ornate triple doors. Carved from some sort of dark wood or perhaps painted to be darker looking, the doors would have intricate patterns carved into them if one only looked. The door Chamberlain stood before had flowers and trees carved into its face. Truly stunning work. But that would pale in comparison to what lay beyond the door. As their superior opened the door, a bright light would burst forth causing the young woman to raise her arm to shield her eyes. As she and the group moved in she would bring her arm down and be stunned at what was before her.
It was a meadow, probably the most gorgeous meadow she had ever seen. It was positively breathtaking. There were children frolicking through the flowers playing, adults resting in their soft embrace under the deep blue cloudless sky. If there was a picture of what the afterlife in heaven would look like, this was it. Taking a deep breath 182949 hadn't realized she had been holding her breath. Taking a moment to look around she saw no end to it. The horizon line was nothing but flowers every which way she looked. Turning to look behind her she was met with the impossible. The door stood alone unconnected to any structure other than the frame. Moving away from the group she walked around it. With the door open she could clearly see the lobby they had just come from. But once she was behind it she just saw the meadow. It was absolutely bizarre. Moving back to the group she looked to each of her companions in turn. Her female teammate was examining the flowers more closely, the older-looking white-haired reaper was taking in the aroma while the youngest-looking one was following the older male's lead and breathing it all in. Though she and the young one shared a moment of ' How is this possible' together.
The scenery moved her heart in a way that was unexplainable with words. She doubted she had ever laid eyes on something so peaceful, so beautiful. As Chamberlain spoke she smiled a truly delighted smile and nodded. "It's, almost too much. It's the single most gorgeous thing I've ever seen." She didn't need her memories to know this was true. The platinum blonde felt truly at peace for the first time since she had arrived at The Well. Looking to Chamberlain 182949 would make sure to make eye contact and speak once more. "Thank you." She would mean this from the bottom of her heart. Her female teammate would inquire if it was always daytime here and that was a good question. But to 182949 she didn't care. If there was nighttime she was sure it was equally beautiful if not more so and she would greatly look forward to seeing it some time.

____________________ I do it because I can I can because I want to _________________________________ Reaper 193485 looked genuinely intrigued as Chamberlain mentioned the schedule of the rooms. They could only be altered for special occasions, such as a soul in need. She imagined what kind of needs that would entail. Maybe a Soul who was trapped in a basement would prefer to be under the sun instead of the stars? Maybe a soul that died of heatstroke would prefer a moonlit walk amongst the flowers? Could these be the scenarios he was referring to, or would it be something more complex than that? She trailed behind the others as she thought more on this and came out as Chamberlain was identifying the other two doors. The violet colored eyes of Reaper number 193485 lit up at the thought of the mountains and the cold air that left your chest stinging as you exhaled the icy clouds of your breath in to the crisp air. It was a familiar feeling to her, though she didn't know why. As he moved on to Autumn, she was also pleased; though not bouncing-on-her-toes pleased as she'd been about winter. She caught the eye of a fellow Reaper and immediately averted her eyes. The woman mentally scolded herself and reminded herself this experience was to be treated more like a job interview and less like a vacation. As the group moved on she stole one last glance at the winter door, almost willing another Soul to go in or come out of it so she could steal a peak, but none did. "Ah, well." she mumbled to herself as they moved on. "I've got an eternity to see it" The young woman assured herself again. She had wondered why there wasn't a summer garden and was in the process of forming the words to ask when Chamberlain beat her to the punch. The lady imagined a giant greenhouse filled with interesting blooms and bugs and the like when he mentioned the summer garden was elsewhere. Reaper number 193485 pulled herself from her thoughts again as Chamberlain described the business center they passed. While there appeared to be more activity going in and out than the gardens had, he assured them it was nothing worth missing out on at this moment. She fell in stride with her partner. "Oh, was that Rogue?" she asked curiously as she thought she recognized the red and black pattern of his mask venturing in to the business center. She hadn't been present for the other woman's initial reaction to him so this was solely out loud intrigue and not a jest at the other woman's expense as one would assume if one of the males in their group had said something similar. Before she knew it, Chamberlain was gesturing them toward the pool area. The sign would be reminiscent of any ordinary hotel or gym's, but when she turned the corner there was no concrete or smell of chlorine here! For what felt like the 10th time today, her mouth was agape in awe at the sight before her. She pushed her way through the large leaves of the tropical bushes and followed Chamberlain on to the sand. She was pleased to note she'd been somewhat right at her earlier assumption as some of the plants here did in fact bloom as large and colorful flowers. The heels of her boots went from tapping on the stone path to immediately sinking in to the sand below; causing her to flail her arms out as she lost her balance. "Pardon" she would say to one or two of her teammates that offered her aid (or to a nearby tree if none of them were so willing), she'd place a hand up and grab an arm (or a trunk) for balance while she slid the boots off to reveal stockinged feet. "Thank you" she'd state politely before scooping her boots and catching up to the rest, who stood a bit behind Chamberlain while he scolded an employee for the sun being up. Without her shoes, she stood at a solid 5'5" and the others would surely take notice of this. The booming voice thing could come in handy if it ended up in their repertoire of powers, she mentally noted. She then listened as her mentor explained Soul Sight and was stunned to learn without it she wouldn't be able to see any of the glorious things he'd shown them so far. She wondered what the difference was between Reaper sight and regular souls. Could they see each other? Did the Well's lobby look different or even empty to a regular Soul? Could the Souls in the garden see their little ragtag group of Reapers whenever they entered? Her hand shot up at Chamberlain's question as to why it would be easy for them to locate the missing item. "You just stated each Soul's energy is unique. The necklace owner's energy would be different from that of yours- or mine- or even the Well's, so it should stand out against the scenery and match the corresponding energy of it's owner. As an example if you give off a 'purple' energy and the Well gives off a 'green', then it would be fairly easy to spot; say, an item that radiates a 'pink' energy and match it to the only frantic Soul out there that also gives off 'pink', correct?" Her hand dropped as she spoke and her arms were defensively crossed over her stomach again, this time cradling the tops of her boots instead of the mask that was now perched on her head. She nervously dug the soles of her feet in to the warm sand, as the answer she provided seemed so easy it was almost silly to her. She could only imagine how the others would react to her quick answer.

|| Reaper No. 188349 [Where:] [With:] [Feeling:] [Outfit:] [OOC:]
╔═══════════════════ 188349 allowed himself to bask in the cool spring breeze, softly contrasted by the heat of the sun overhead, giving that refreshing sensation that simulated the senses. As the soft winds passed them by, an army of floral scents assaulted him. Roses, Violets, Iris, Orchids. One scent proved more alluring than the others. The reaper recruit sniffed the air slightly, calmly sighing as he recognised the scent. “Sakura flowers…” he thought to himself contently. The myriad of aromas combined could only be described as ‘heavenly’, accurate enough, considering where they were. The sights and sounds were enough to calm him…for a moment…he thought he could feel his more uptight nature relaxing slightly. However, his was relieved from his momentary trance as a query made by the violet haired woman caught his attention. He turned to look at Chamberlain as the superior gave his answer. It was intriguing, to say the least, that these marvels operated on their own day and night cycles. He had to admit, he was curious to compare each of the gardens during their respective times. To see this endless meadow bathed in nocturnal light? It would surely have been a sight to see.
As Chamberlain lead them back out onto the third-floor balcony, he addressed the remaining sets of doors. The pair they had just entered through led them to the “Spring” gardens, whereas the others led to the “Autumn” and “Winter” gardens. As chamberlain elaborated into the details of each garden, 188349 found himself invested more and more, though his body language may have said otherwise. A snow-capped mountain range and a crisp autumn forest? He only hoped his future duties would allow him the time to revisit the gardens. What sparked his curiosity, however, was the absence of a “Summer” garden. However, whatever query he had was quickly answered as Chamberlain spoke further, stated that another area of the Well provided that feel of summer that so many enjoyed.
With that, they made there way through the business centre, passing conference rooms as they walked. Chamberlain explained that each room was used for ‘special purposes’. He further stated that as they were now, none of them had the skills or the need to witness what transpired within each room, though time would reveal their purpose as they adapted and learned as reapers. The comment referring to ‘nothing but a blank empty space’ struck 188349 a bit. He wondered if each room changed in accordance with the soul that entered…moulding and shifting to something only the soul in question would recognise…something that would spark a reaction…Thinking about it, he was reminded of a certain saying…where in the afterlife you see only what you want to see. However, if his suspicion was correct, then it wouldn’t necessarily be about what you want to see…but rather something only you can see…perhaps the conference rooms where to take souls through some sort of therapy…or perhaps an interrogation. Either way, given the personalities of the reapers the group had been introduced to thus far, the Well carried a neutral air more than anything else…and something told him that these reapers were all on that same neutral ground, literally and figuratively. Do things right, you’re in the clear…step out of line…well…then they may prove to be less than hospitably to put it lightly. In short, it wasn’t about wants…but needs. But these were only his thoughts…he wasn’t sure what caused him to feel that way…it was merely a gut feeling.
His train of thought was disrupted as Chamberlain directed them towards what appeared to be the Swimming area, given the signs. Upon reaching a portal-like gateway, they stepped through only to be met with a vibrant tropical jungle, beyond which shone golden white sands paired with an endless shimmering ocean. The sight alone held just as much impact as the spring gardens, though unsurprisingly, it was distinctly warmer.
As they tread through the sands, Chamberlain seemed disgruntled at the presence of the daylight and voiced as much, his loud, echoing voice summoning another reaper, Eryl by name, to greet them. Their interaction left 188349 feeling somewhat odd, though the reaction was internal. The manner in which Chamberlain addressed his underling was in typical managerial fashion…it once again inspired a nostalgic feeling…almost a sense of ease. Though what was important to note was that Chamberlain himself did not seem to mock or belittle Eryl, but rather utilised the mishaps made as a learning experience for the subordinate, as well as for themselves as recruits.
The reason for the cycles of the swimming area being out of lapse was a girl having lost an heirloom in the form of a necklace. It was here Chamberlain educated them as to the existence of ‘life energy’ their ability to detect it called ‘Soul Sight’. With Chamberlain’s explanation and query as to how they would be able to find the necklace, 188349 was about to give his answer. However, the violet-haired woman was just a step ahead of him. He raised an eyebrow, not agitated, but impressed. It was a very good answer. Logically, if the life energy manifested itself in the form of how the souls viewed themselves, and that each form of life energy was unique, then surely there would be a correlation in the energy surrounding the necklace and its owner.
Looking to the violet haired woman, 188349 spoke, “It appears you and I are of the same mind.”

Reaper No.166002 ~ Profile ~ Opening his eyes, 166002 would now scan the ever-expansive horizon, listening to Chamberlain as he spoke up in reply to the Purple-Haired Female's enquiry. Once again, the others had stepped up to save him from asking the questions that had plagued his mind and in this instance, the man's words continued to intrigue him - To think they could change the time of day purely by request - of course the reasoning behind this would be to aid a Soul in need, yet he couldn't help but wonder just how enchanting this place could be at night... He cast his gaze skywards as though anticipating an endless sky full of stars before turning at the sound of movement as Chamberlain spread his arms to usher them along once more...
It was a little disappointing to be leaving for the next part of their excursion so soon as he could have quite happily stayed there much longer, but they still had a full tour to experience and if this was just a drop in the ocean, then there was no telling what other wonders Chamberlain had in store for them! As the walls closed back in around the group, the Lad couldn't help but find himself yearning to return to the open space of the previous room; everything just seemed a little too confined now and had they not already been on the move, he might just have settled himself somewhere out of the way to try and figure out quite how they had managed to fit it all into such a small space... He had to admit though, the idea of having Rolling Fields, Snowy Mountains and an open forest with Autumn's leaves fit for the crunching right there on his doorstep definitely made the rooms worth a return journey when the time was granted.
Their introduction to the Business centre was a brief one, but judging by Chamberlain's approach towards the location itself, they can't have been missing much - at least not for that particular moment in time anyway. Continuing on, it wasn't long before the man once again slipped to the back of the group, ushering them down another hallway before banking off to the right where they would find themselves approaching what appeared to be a wall of nothingness? He reduced his speed, understandably suspicious of the sight, but with no signs of the others slowing in their advance, he knew he would just have to trust their Guide and go with the flow...
...And as though there had been no barrier at all, the squad would emerge into a land blessed with an array of Tropical flora and a beach of golden sands that just seemed to go on forever! Amazed by the sight, the Lad paused to take it all in before recoiling backwards as one of the Violet-Eyed, Reaper's arms suddenly came within inches of striking his face... Swift Reflexes thankfully allowed him to catch her by the wrist seconds before impact and he would grip it firmly enough to allow her to regain her balance, before letting go.
Now stationary, he would watch as she removed her boots before looking to where the others had disappeared into the fauna. It was reassuring to see that he wasn't necessarily the shortest of the group, but as they moved to catch up, it would soon dawn on him that if he were to remove his own footwear, she would still have at least two inches over him... "Hn..." Careful to maintain his ever-stoic disposition, the Youth would nod quietly in acknowledgement of her words before turning his attention towards Chamberlain as the man's mood suddenly flipped to the opposite end of its scale and he stormed ahead of them. It was obvious that something had irked the Reaper as his voice now adopted a much sterner tone and he growled something before a wisp of smoke materialised beside him and took on the form of a man.
Deciding he wasn't in the mood to witness conflict and with little interest in hearing someone receive a good tongue-lashing for a reason that appeared to revolve around something as trivial as turning lights 'on' when they should have been off, the Lad would take the opportunity to avert his gaze elsewhere, initially focusing on his colleagues reactions to the situation before allowing his attention to drift towards the coastline; The whole place was a spectacle to see, yet he couldn't help but feel a sense of calm in watching how the rolling waves glinted a beautiful crystalline blue as they approached the shore - not to mention feeling the warming sensation of the sun's rays as they worked their way through the dark sleeves of his shirt to his skin. Subconsciously he would once again begin to lift a hand towards his mask, gracing its edges with his fingertips as a suppressed urge to feel the sun on his face caught hold of him once more...
Hearing Eryl state that he hadn't used his 'Sight' seemed to draw the Youth's attention back towards the conversation and he quirked an eyebrow in confusion before sliding said hand back into his pocket as he questioned how a person with the ability to see wasn't already 'using their sight' to try and find whatever they were looking for... His eyes flitted across to where several figures were searching the sands before looking back towards Chamberlain as he mentioned that this would be a good training exercise for the new recruits... How searching for a lost object could be classed as training was again questionable, but as their guide clapped his hands, the Lad realised that time for enjoying the scenery was over and things were finally about to get a little more hands on...
Almost to lead them into their task Chamberlain began to speak of an ability called 'Soul Sight' and how they had already been using it in its most basic of forms during their tour of the Well - it was all quite fascinating to hear, but what interested him most was when their guide mentioned that it granted them the ability to see all things Supernatural in the world... Now although Chamberlain hadn't actually gone into detail, the Youth couldn't help but wonder if this 'Sight' also extended towards seeing Otherworldly Beings, such as Vampires, Werewolves and other malevolent creatures that once evolved from stories told around a campfire at night... There was no doubt this was another fabrication of his overactive, youthful imagination, but what if it wasn't? What if these beings actually existed?
The Violet one's words made sense as she gave her answer to Chamberlain's question and as the White-Haired Scholar appeared to agree with her statement, the Lad would push these whimsical thoughts to the back of his mind and instead turn his focus towards the sands where, off in the distance, a young female stood amongst a crowd of searchers. Judging by the way she held herself, she looked to be the aforementioned individual to whom the lost heirloom belonged, but as the Lad scrutinised the scene, looking for any sign of colour or maybe even a glimmer of light, he could find nothing that backed up this theory... Perhaps they were wrong?
"I don't see anything." his voice was curt and perhaps a little disappointed, but almost as soon as the words had left his mouth, he wished he'd held his tongue... How spoilt he must have sounded, not to mention how he just stood there with his arms folded across his chest like a petulant child...

No, I couldn't keep you safe•••
Reaper 182949 would follow without a word once they left the garden and Chamberlain answered her companion's question. Knowing you could visit at different times of day was a neat thought. Chamberlain would mention that there were four gardens in total, one for each time of the year. But at present, there were only three. Spring, Winter, and Autumn respectively. He would give a detailed description of the other two rooms before truly moving on. She was sure they would all be beautiful and would take her time enjoying each one. Winter, in particular, was one she looked forward to quite a bit. She wasn't sure how to explain it but thinking of the cold made her feel some kind of way. Shaking her head she followed the group closely and listened intently as their guide explained more about their new living situation.
He continued about the gardens, pointing out that there were only three doors but there were four seasons. This was obvious to all who paid any sort of attention. But the real question was where was the summer door if it wasn't located with the others? As it would turn out she wouldn't need to wait too long to find that out. Her mentor would quite simply answer her unannounced thoughts with the answer she was waiting to hear. He was clearly excited about it as his mood seemed to change with just the thought. 182949 would smile to herself as they continued to follow their upbeat guide. As they continued to walk Chamberlain would point out the business center. He would give quite the explanation on what it was but in truth, all she heard him say was, 'you can't go there at the moment, but you'll get to eventually because it's part of your job'.
The group reached a divide in the hallway and upon the wall was a sign that showed a weight, and the other was a pool. The pool was obviously the summer room. The weight must be the fitness center he mentioned earlier in the tour. She would need to remember that it was down the hall from the summer room. After making a mental note 182949 would follow the group down a short hallway before turning into a jungle? Where did the hallway go? Turning back she could see it was there but in front of her was a sandy jungle. Without a doubt, this was the summer room. It was doing the magical passage thing and everything. Or perhaps everything did that here? She didn't remember Rouges office doing that. Seeing her violet-colored friend take her boots off, she would follow suit. Though her choice of footwear wasn't as poor as her comrades, she didn't wanna risk rolling her ankle in the sand and having to be dragged around for the rest of the tour.
Unlike her partner, she would lean against a nearby tree and slide her boots off. It was around this time she noticed her teammates were on the shorter side. The white-haired male a bit on the taller end. Though 182949 wasn't exactly short, she wasn't quite tall as the white-haired male. As she caught up with the others she looked around to find Chamberlain who was no longer standing with the trainees. After a moment she could hear him speaking to some soul named Eryl. Though he sounded quite stern, he didn't sound like he was giving this poor soul the business, which I imagine was good for him since he apparently wasn't doing his job well. It was at this point he decided to give the new recruits some hands-on training. Finally, she would get to do something other than walk! Listening to Chamberlain explain one of their powers was surreal. They all had the ability to use Soul Sight to see the supernatural. They would need to use a more advanced version to complete this training. At her mentor's question, her partner would speak up and offer a pretty insightful response. Somewhat impressed she would simply nod her head in agreement.
So the task at hand would require them to use Soul Sight in a more advanced manner to spot the heirloom that belongs to the distressed soul. Just looking around she could tell that her Soul Sight wasn't putting in overtime and everything looked pretty normal, all things considering. Looking back to their guide she would speak. "So, if we're using the Soul Sight in its basic form, how would we change it to see souls true energy?" Her question simple but to her important. He had not yet explained how it could be activated or if you just had to stare at something till it just worked. Regardless of how difficult or simple it would be she was ready to do something hands-on. At last, she would be able to put her wandering thoughts to a single task. Find the missing necklace.
