The battle seems perfectly even when Monaka steps on the yellow crystal within the original clone's body and therefore saving the day. Goku was able to defeat clone Vegeta just in time and the real Vegeta finds out what a pacifyer is. Meanwhile, Future trunks is in trouble again. Will he be making another trip to the past?

Future Trunks was running from some villain who looks just like Goku whose name is Black. He is trying to get to his time machine to get to the past again, but witnesses his mom and his girlfriend dying in front of him first. Meanwhile, Goku harvests some crops and instant transmissions to Lord Beerus's world to train where Vegeta has already gone. They enjoy some instant ramen and Beerus tastes fresh lettuce for the first time.

Making it to the past and hurt, Future Trunks is helped by Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and his younger self. Upon seeing Goku, however, Trunks attacks him.

After a few minutes, Trunks snaps out of his funk and then explains what is going on and sure enough after showing Goku what he can do, Black shows up. What will become of the past now?

Goku and Black fight it out until a worm hole sucks Black back to the future. Before Black disappeared, though, he destroyed the time machine so that Trunks could not return either. But, Bulma realized that there was still one more machine that Trunks could use thanks to the one Cell hijacked years ago. Future Mai is waking up, however and now we will see what happens next.

Future Trunks tells kid Mai all about Mai's future self then she along with Pilaf and Shu help to clean the mossy time machine. Goku cannot get training anywhere so he has got to find something else to do. Beerus and Whis are trying to find out the true identity of Black because there is something different about this particular foe.

Spending a day with Gohan reminded Future Trunks of what he was fighting for and that gave him hope.

Beerus and Whis suspect the aide to the 10th universe's supreme Kai might be to blame for the turn that Future Trunks's world had undergone. Goku spars with that aide and yet, while the villainous acts have not happened yet, it looks like they soon will.

Future Trunks does some image training, but then Vegeta decides to train Trunks for a bit. Trunks does get a little cocky after landing one hit, but not before hearing how he has to become stronger and to remember his saiyan pride.

Grand Zeno had summoned Goku because he wanted a friend. Goku promised an even better friend that he could play with whenever, but had no real idea on how to fulfill it just yet. He goes with Vegeta and Future Trunks to Trunks's time and almost immediately the defense forces think that Goku is Black and they fire missiles at him.

Trunks was reunited with Mai and the resistance after showing the resistance that Goku is not Black, but reinforcements. Vegeta gives the survivors food and then tries to take on Black, but fails. Goku faces off against Black next, but the aide from Universe 10 comes in to stop Black claiming that its his turn to beat Goku,

The fight turns out to where Trunks, Goku, and Vegeta have to flee to the past with the help of Future Mai. Bulma notices Vegeta badly hurt so she goes to help him. Meanwhile, Zamasu, who is the aide of supreme kai in universe 10 goes to the know it all being and asks him to tell him about the Super dragon balls.

Future Trunks, Vegeta, and Goku were each given a sensu bean to recover and then they discuss what happened in the future. Trying to figure out what to do about the situation, they settle on having Goku, Whis, Beerus, and the Supreme Kai of the 7th Universe going to the Planet of the Kais in the 10th Universe to speak with Gomasu the supreme Kai about Zamasu. Not revealing anything about his quest to divine justice just yet, Zamasu upon his return pretends only to just be bringing his master tea like always.

Getting the proof needed, Whis puts a kitten mitten on Zamasu's hand after doing his do-over technique. Then he along with Goku and Beerus expose Zamasu for the murderous creep that he is. Beerus himself destroys Zamasu, but the question is, is Trunks's future really safe or not?

Returning to the future with Bulma, Vegeta, and Goku, Trunks finds out that Mai isn't doing so well, so through a romantic gesture, he trades a sensu bean to make her better. Then he, Vegeta, and Goku fly off to face off against Zamasu and Black once again.
