Jun squinted against the wind and dust kicked up by the machop's hand coming down. Thankfully, Cricket managed to knock the hand off target- Jun made out the shock of blond hair on the kid who'd nearly gotten flattened. The kid who he'd thought, for a second, might be Takumi. Had the same kind of 'clueless rich kid' look to him.
Didn't get a chance to check on him though- he heard Lugia once again saying 'next!' before chucking him and Cricket straight to the next one.
"A giant...apple." Jun sighed. He could consider this, maybe, a break. But then he saw the two leaves up top unfurling, revealing large eyes. Not like any pokemon he'd ever seen before, but a giant apple had to be a grass type, right?
"Cricket, another hurricane." He stood with on hand on the archeops' back, watching the winds whip up and around. The applin cried out, shivering and drawing its eyes into itself to protect against the wind. Jun actually felt bad about attacking it.
"Hey, Lugia. Is this one really a threat?"
"A seed can grow into a mighty tree."
"What."
"The smallest duckling can grow into the ugliest- wait no that's not right. Uhm..."
Battle Cricket used Hurricane on Applin 110 + 10 (lvl bonus) x 1.5 (defeatist ability) x 2 (effectiveness) = 360 damage
Alex stumbled off his feet, the ground shaking beneath him when the machop's hand smashed the ground. He stared at the huge hand with wide eyes, stunned.
"Pichu pi pi!" [ Get off your butt and run! ] Chica pulled at his hair, trying to get her trainer to do something.
"Oh, hey Chica." Alex popped to his feet. "Good thing that guy was there," he stated, brushing himself off and looking back at Az with a cheeky smile. He looked back over to find the guy who'd helped out, but he was gone? "Huh, where'd he go?"
"Pi pi pi!" [ It's still there! ] Chica huffed and yanked on his hair again. How could he forget about the gaint karate pokemon again!?
Thankfully, Fluffy didn't forget about it. Before they could come under fire again, they poofed into a cosmic cloud of sparkles, teleported to another den.
This time there wasn't anything dangerous at all, just a giant apple.
...with eyes!?
Chica launched herself at the apple's side, slamming into it with an iron tail. She didn't manage much, aside from a small bruise in its side.
"Chica, what're you doing? Ruining a perfectly good apple. Not as good as a potato chip, but still good. And huge. Huge!!"

They'd hardly had a moment to look around the ruins before Niji showed up and pointed them towards another den. Arezu hopped back on Kouvu for the flight there. When she landed, she was far from impressed.
"Really, Niji? You called us out to help you fight a...giant apple? What's it going to do, roll on top of someone?"
"The aura I sense... I believe it is a dragon." Hikaru cocked her head, trying to make sense of the huge waves of aura rolling off it.
"What? Seriously? That thing?" Arezu shook her head. "I guess you can't judge a fruit by its cover. Or something." She released Sham, figuring an attack with ice would do the trick. Sham took one look at the giant applin then swung his head back to look at Arezu as if to ask 'are you serious'? He'd definitely gotten that non-verbal communication skill from Niji. "Yeah I know. Niji asked us to help out though." She smirked at how Sham's ears pricked up when he heard her say Niji's name. She stepped back, revealing that she'd let Flurry out as well. "So, which one of you guys has the coldest ice?" Flurry grinned at Sham, raising his eyebrows.
Arezu figured the applin didn't stand a chance against two brothers trying to show each other up.

Blue skies gave way to the familiar darkness of the dens where Dynamax Pokemon lived, Jaffa coming in to land abruptly as they caught sight of a largely unfamiliar Pokemon. ”Is that a giant apple?” Eveline asked, half out of curiosity and half out of sheer disbelief as she eyed the strange Pokemon before them. At least she assumed it was a Pokemon, judging from the eyes that stuck out of the top of the apple where the stem would normally be.
”Well… yes, and no. Apparently this is one of Galar’s native dragon species,”Lambrusco spoke up, tilting his head somewhat,”Though I believe that the Pokemon is not the apple itself, but rather the creature living inside the apple.”Interesting… Eveline knew that Galar did have some rather odd-looking species of dragon Pokemon, at least that was what she’d gleaned when she’d first received Sin. But this was definitely pretty out there. Though now that she could get a better look at it, she could see the scaly green tail sticking out from the backside of the apple that was a dead giveaway that it was indeed a Dragon-type. ”So it’s technically a wyrmy apple then? Hilarious,” she remarked with a smirk, trying to think of how best to counteract this thing. Having no Ice-types on her team, Sin and Mimosa were her only choices for being able to hit this thing hard, and it seemed pretty weakened enough already… Grabbing a Pokeball off her belt and sending out the Absol, Mimosa appeared in a flash of red light, body tense and ready for battle as she stared hard at the strange dragon-apple Pokemon before her for a moment as if trying to figure out how to best hit it before looking back at Eveline for orders. ”How about a bit of rough play, my love?” the redhead suggested with a grin, Mimosa nodding as she got the message. Baring her teeth as she turned back to the Applin, she charged towards it with claws bared, prepared to rough it up a little more and then some.】✧✧

Reese paused as his surroundings melted and changed. The trip between towns had taken a turn for the … weird apparently. He’d been heading for a cave an all, but apparently the very first entry was not the right one.
Lesson learned.
The young man stared up, wide-eyed at the massive form of an… apple? Was that an apple? An apple with eyes really, peering about at other figures that melded into existence and then out just as quickly. Whatever it was, it was a pokemon.
That he’d never seen.
Side-eyeing his team, he spotted Jaxston just in his peripherals, staring up in awe at the oversized apple monster. It seemed that Reese wasn’t the only one surprised by this sudden appearance. "Jaxston… do something." The Servine’s head snapped up to his trainer, eyes going wider as he took a deep gulp. Ginger just giggled from the shadows.
Right. He could do this. If he really just... put his mind to it without any sort of instruction. Sucking in a sharp breath and channeling energy he didn’t know he had, the Servine launched into the air and then dropped on the Applin with as much force as his body could muster.
Reese stared. Well. That was different as well.

Lafayette narrowed his gaze as they entered the den. A random beam of light erupting from the ground was rather hard to ignore, even for a simpleton like himself.
What he didn’t expect to find, despite one of his own pokemon experience the phenomenon (without his awareness) were massive towering figures that he could only assume were pokemon. Whipping out his pokedex, he allowed the robotic tone to confirm this fact for him. It was a good thing it had a read aloud function.
Well. Big or small, a pokemon was a pokemon. And there was something off about this one. It was massive first off, not even your standard “just large by nature”. Unless… this was natural. Did apples get this big? Would’ve made a great pie if it wasn’t a pokemon instead of food.
"Noah, give tha’ thing a blast, will ya mate?" The Aussie instructed, giving the pokemon a solemn look. The Dewott perked up, chest out gave a “Wott!” of confirmation as he wiped the little dribble of drool from the corner of his mouth.

”I can certainly try… Though as it stands, it would take an additional turn for my psychic power in particular to actually hit the target,”the Delphox shook his head,”I don’t think it’d be worth the risk if that thing might try to target us before the attack finally lands.”It wouldn’t be much of an issue if he had a more reliable Psychic-type move rather than Future Sight, but as it stood he’d rather not risk taking a Dynamaxed attack if it could be helped. ”Right… Probably better to be safe than sorry,” the redhead agreed, drawing her lips into a thin line as she considered their options. Naturally Mimosa would be her go to since she could easily hit the hardest, but she didn’t want to rely too much on her strongest Pokemon lest they become disobedient… ”How about you, Soho?” she asked, looking to the Zorua on her shoulder as he stared down the giant Makuhita in the distance.
Normally, going up against a giant, 50 story tall Fighting-type Pokemon would’ve been a definite ‘Hell naw’ for him. But seeing as taking down these mammoths was some sort of odd team effort between so many trainers, if he could at least weaken it a little then surely someone else with much stronger Pokemon could come in to finally take it down. And by then, they’d be off elsewhere hunting down more Wishing Stars for their steadily growing collection.”Sure thing, boss.”Narrowing his eyes, Soho focused what psychic energy he had in him, lashing out at the Makuhita from afar with as much power as he could muster. His psychic prowess was nowhere near the levels of an actual Psychic-type like Lam, just enough to able to easily communicate telepathically and give him a means of fighting back against one of his most common weaknesses as effectively as possible. Even so, Soho felt a sort of schadenfreude satisfaction as the giant Makuhita groaned in pain, the Pokemon holding a hand to its head as if fighting off an annoying headache.”Well, think I’ve sufficiently pissed it off. Reese took a deep breath as Jaxston returned to his side, the giant giving a screech before it seemed to just fade, or rather shrink, into oblivion. He still didn’t have an idea of where he was or even how he got there. He’d been on his way to a cave and now… well. This was what he got.
It was like the dream world all over again. There wasn’t a chance to take in his surroundings before the ground underneath rumbled once more. Reese stumbled, falling flat on his butt with an ‘oof!’. Great! What now? His head snapped back, and his eyes went wide at the sight of the Makuhita.
What the hell was going on in this place?
"Jaxston-" the words hadn’t even left his lips before the Snivy was back in action, once again taking to the skies to slam into the oversized monstrosity. Given all the garbage that Reese put him through, he was fast to act when his trainer piped up.

Another den just appearing in the middle of his adventure. Either all these caves were rigged, and this was a trap, or someone was making odd wishes. Why for giant pokemon? That was a question for another day.
That put the idea in his mind though. Could he wish for a giant pokemon? That’d be a bit badass, to be honest, to have something that towered higher than the tallest buildings of Saffron or Lumiose. Maybe if he collected enough, he could wish for that. There weren’t limits, right?
The ground beneath him rumbled and Lafayette snapped his head up to the massive Makuhita looming above. Noah took a stance, ready to lash out but the Aussie held up a hand for him to stay.
"Hold on, Noah. Let Dova take this one," he unleashed the Noivern, directing her attention to the monstrosity. She gave a loud screech, taking to the air to lash out at the monster with a fierce hurricane of her own. The giant pokemon didn’t seem to like it, reeling back on the heels of its... numb feet. Good.

Given how common Dynamax Pokemon apparently were in Galar, Lambrusco was sure they would continue to pop up every so often. Though, he had to wonder if this place they kept being transported was the same den with a different Pokemon in it each time or if the dens in general really were incredibly similar to each other... Not that he had time to dwell on it, however, as the dark red and purple 'sky' and ground of the den began to fade away before them, the sensations of the chill of freezing air and snow under his feet returning as they found themselves transported back to Snowbelle.】✧✧
