He couldn't hide the fact that he brought the egg home and was happy to tell anyone who asked about it. He made sure that it always got the sunniest spot and he kept it wrapped in his cloak at all times. He doted upon the egg much like a proud mother. He dreamed of the protection it would bring upon the pack once it hatched.
He was blessed with the excitement of a new parent, but he didn't forget the youngster that was fussed over by the Healers. With a broken leg and various other injuries, Stag Jump had tried to come up with a way where he could share his glory with the young male. Finally, gathering up his nerve, he picked up the egg in its cape bundle and padded over to where Sunopal was resting.
"Hello," He said through fabric with perked ears, setting it down gently and immediately laying down beside it, curling it towards his stomach like he'd seen mothers do with their pups. "I was wondering if you'd like to see it. The egg. I'm not sure if you'd heard, but it was what I had found on the top of the mountain..." He flicked his ears, wondering if this would bother the young wolf, or incite jealousy or misery, more than curious delight. "If you're interested, that is. If not... I'll leave you to rest up." He offered the other, awaiting their reply.
