Evangeline grew up around the Sydney area and moved across Australia during her entire childhood. Her parents are middle-class workers; her father owns a car dealership and her mother is an ER nurse. Frankie grew up in Cairns her whole life, working on the catamarans taking tourists to the Great Barrier Reef when she was 14. She is an experienced diver and enjoys spending time with the marine life, especially sharks. She moved away from Cairns when she was 20 and moved to Melbourne, which was a shock to her but something she adjusted to quickly. Frankie is the second-child in her family from an Australian mother and an American father. Her parents divorced before she was born and she has only ever known her stepfather, Duncan, as her father. Her sister, Katherine, used to hate her as a child, but as they finished high school and started their own lives they grew close. She does not know her American relatives and has not heard from her father, but knows he was an abusive person who was prone to cheating and gas-lighting. She fell in love with a New Zealand friend of hers who used to date another friend, Caroline-Jade, but broke up long before Frankie met him. They began dating after he went back to Caroline-Jade, but the relationship ended when she cheated on him for a second time. She and her boyfriend applied for Saint Sandorez and ended up being accepted along with most of their friend group from the Melbourne area. Jules is a very empathic person and always has been. He has had a very troubled family background, leaving his family behind in New Zealand and living with his father in Cleveland, Australia when he was 12. He moved to Melbourne after a few years. He met Francheska and Evangeline, and also came back into Caroline-Jade's life. He has always struggled with his own mental health and his scoliosis never helped him much. He went through several relationships that all ended badly, and all with children being taken away from him to live with the mothers, and eventually began dating Caroline-Jade again. This relationship ended the same way as before; she cheated on him and lied about it. He has three children, which he has no contact with; Fabian, Virginia, and Terrance. The mothers of his children all moved to other countries and he has not had contact with them, neither is he required to pay child support. He had an on-again-off-again relationship with Caroline-Jade, a friend of Francheska and Evangeline in the Melbourne area before he moved there again. After his engagement to and break-up with Caroline-Jade, he began a slow relationship with Francheska. They were unofficial for a long time (six months) before making the relationship proper. They help one another with their issues and he uses his skills to try and help those around him. Jaime is a Swedish born and raised doctor who didn't develop her powers until she was in her 30s, the only one in her family to do so. Because she was such a late bloomer, she never pursued a career that her powers fit into, although she was lucky that her powers assisted in her medical career rather than work against it. She learned English in High School and moved to Canada to further her skills. She worked in some of the best hospitals and eventually took up a master's degree in teaching, through an online university, so she could change her career again and teach medicine to students. She knows she will eventually return to a hospital, but she hopes she will be working with her old students and watch them grow into doctors and nurses in their own rights.

Cheyenne is a young woman who has two sides of her personality; on one hand she is an extroverted party animal who gets the attention of the boys, and on the other she is a tormented soul putting herself back together. She pushes people away because that is how she has dealt with life so far. Her family split when she was very young, her father incredibly abusive towards her mother and her siblings. Her mother remarried but her stepfather was always strict, but never cruel. She wasn't used to a life of chores and responsibility and so she ran away. She befriended and later dated Jules for a time, but they broke up after their relationship turned extremely volatile and sour because of her flirtations with other men (and women, as she is bisexual). She would later befriend Francheska, and through Cheyenne Jules and Frankie became close friends, later a couple. Cheyenne has always been jealous when her partners find a new relationship, as these always flourish. She sees herself as a pariah; get to close to her and you will end up perishing. She has worked hard to fix herself, but she still struggles without much support.
