1508: Konosawa Saeki

The young man followed his beloved up onto the roof of his house. It was a good thing that he had a flat roof, it allowed them to have plenty of room to sit on without having to worry about sliding off. Aki had settled himself in their spot in Saeki’s room already. Saeki smiled happily when he had settled down with Patrick on the roof, ready to watch one of nature’s beautiful shows. It was a good thing they brought a blanket though, as it was rather cold up here and this early. Not that the Asian noticed much of it. He was still heated from their active night following their dinner. Both males seemed to be blessed with amazing stamina and libido. Perhaps one of the reasons they matched so well together. It felt so long ago to Saeki that he came to Soleil.

When he met Patrick through blind dates he had still been a virgin even. But he regretted nothing and counted himself to be the happiest man in the world with this amazing man by his side. The Asian looked at Patrick besides him and leaned towards him under the blanket that kept them both warm, resting his head on their shoulder as they watched the horizon. The past night had left him a little sore in the muscles, but it was a good kind of sore. And he knew from experience by now that it would eb away soon. The young man shifted a bit and smiled at Patrick, gave them a kiss on his cheek and wrapped one arm around their back before resting his head down again as the golden hues of sunrise started to kiss the ocean in the distance. Being this high up gave them a good vantage point to watch this morning glory of a miracle.

Watching such a scene with his beloved and affectionate boyfriend was more than he would ever imagined it to be. Wonders when the next solar eclipse is so he can watch it with him too with the proper eyewear, of course. Maybe even doing that in that cover of darkness, his mind was certainly in the gutters at times. The closeness of their bodies was fueling that desire even more. Looked into the other’s eyes after the kiss on the cheek and smiled afterwards. Looked back to the horizon, "Have I ever asked you what your new year's resolution is? And if I have, how well is it going so far?" he asked him. Used his free hand to bring his mug close to his mouth peppermint flavored, sugar free hot cocoa. He was expecting to be the only one to be drinking this beverage and the other mug was extra in case Saeki wanted to try it out. Maybe they could do cheers with the mugs, but nothing comes to mind as to what to say for it.

Patrick was gone during the morning because he was at his therapy session. Left feeling a bit out of it mentally, but not as much as the earlier sessions. So he stopped by his house to pick up his game system, two controllers and games to bring out to play with Saeki and carried them in a cardboard box with open handles on the sides. Maybe it will help improve other than being in his partner’s company. There were neighbors who greeted him in both neighborhoods and simply did a friendly wave back. He wasn’t at a point where he can speak with strangers again despites them being his neighbors. Stepping into the warmth of the house he stood there in the entry for a long moment, “I’m home” he said quietly to himself and smiled softly. He hadn’t felt at home anywhere until he had started living with Saeki full time. Emerald came running over to him as he set down the box before he could take off his shoes. The cat got up on his shoulders and nuzzled her head against Patrick’s face and purred. He chuckled because the cat fur felt ticklish when it made contact with his skin. “Okay, okay. Thanks for the welcome, Emerald” he said and petted her some. He turned his attention back to what he was doing previously then put on the slippers before picking the box back up. He walked to the living room with the tv then Emerald leaped off his shoulder as Patrick set the box down on the coffee table.

Saeki had started his day like all others. He had been up with Patrick before he went to his therapy and after telling him ‘till later’ once they had to go, the Asian had focused on the house. By the time Patrick returned he had already cleaned the ground floor and he was about to move on to the next floor. He had still been in his night clothes when his boyfriend went out, but by now he was wearing a simple home kimono for men which was light blue with white. He was still barefooted since the house had floor heating and it was comfortable enough. He was about to go upstairs to continue his weekly cleaning when he heard the front door. With a smile he placed down his cleaning tools and he walked through the living room from the stairway. Patrick walked in just as he entered and he gave the man a gentle smile. "Welcome back my love. How did the session go?" He walked closer to Patrick and gave them a gentle kiss after he spoke. Hopefully everything had been alright. At this point he gave the cardboard box a curious glance but he didn’t ask. He wasn’t the nosey type and this was Patrick’s box.

Patrick looked at his beloved after the gentle kiss then he embraced him close to his body for a long moment. Just enjoying the closeness as long as possible and recharging from the affection he gains from being around Saeki. Although he wasn’t dreaming and doing this doesn’t confirm it he would have been okay with continuing to dream if it meant he got to be with his partner longer. “It went well enough this time. Being with you always recharges after those therapy sessions” he responded softly, not going into details as usual. Though he doesn’t know if he was really making progress during those sessions, he assumes the therapist would say something if there was a problem. After all, he was paying for this treatment out of pocket instead of going through his insurance. Noticed Saeki was glancing at the cardboard box, “You must be curious about the box, right? Well you’ll find out soon enough” he said smirking. He went over to the television to check the back of it before taking out the console and connecting the right cords to the back of the tv. Connected the controller next then started explaining if the other male hadn't guessed what the contents were yet. Even let the other pick which multiplayer or two player game they get to play first after giving a synopsis. He had brought those games recently and hadn’t removed the plastic wrapping off them. Once the gaming started there was total focus except for breaks for the bathroom, giving pets attention and food breaks. The fun with videogames ended when it was time for dinner and Patrick unplugged so the fur babies wouldn't accidently turn it back on while they were away. Relaxed after dinner with small talk about video games and maybe visiting the arcade in the future. Cosplay did come up in conversation, but he doesn’t intend to do unless his partner was into trying it out.

Patrick reentered the house after checking the mailbox of this house and the other one and brought the mail and a small package inside with him. Most of the mail was junk mail and the package was addressed to him. Currently it was morning time so he went to the kitchen where the others may be for breakfast. He wondered what kind of candy Kenzie sent since his close friend told him he was sending him this package. At least his trauma didn’t get in his way in receiving packages otherwise he would have requested Seaki to open it for him. Even though he didn’t open up a mysterious package his stalker sent him in the past, it doesn’t mean the man can’t find a way to do it while behind bars. Luckily the option of bailing out by bond was revoked because the man poses a threat to the public and a clear flight risk from what he had been told on the matter. As long as it means he doesn’t have to worry about being tracked by the mad men then all the better for the outcome. Set the mail down on the counter before starting to open up the package. “Have you decided on what movie or movies you want to see today?” he asked Saeki. Today they were supposed to spend the day at the cinema and it's been quite a while since he had been to that place. Doesn't mind what genre of movie they watch as long as they watch it together or not watch other together to other things under the cover of darkness.

Saeki had started his day calmly as usual. He had taken a shower, gotten dressed and took care of their pets. Patrick hadn’t spent a night away from him anymore and Saeki had to admit that he liked it a lot. Perhaps it would be a good time to discuss a full move in? It would mean that his beloved would no longer have to walk to the other neighborhood to get his mail, or items he needed that he had left at the other address. And besides the former two, Patrick didn’t go to his home anymore. It would also mean Patrick would no longer need to pay rent. But that time may not be now, to ask about that. They had plans already and a full day of fun planned together. Some time to spend between the two of them without leaving the pets alone for too long. The Asian man was working on breakfast when he heard his beloved come home.

"Welcome home, my love. Did everything go well?" he asked and smiled walking over to his beloved to kiss him on the lips lovingly and give them a hug. It was still fresh in his memory, the day that it went wrong so horribly. Thankfully the perpetrator was locked up for a good while now and they could work on progressing the ordeal, together. The young man shook his head with a smile when Patrick asked his question. "I thought we could look at the schedule together and decide what we want to watch. I’m up for several movies for sure. Any genre works, it will be wonderful with you by my side." Saeki didn’t have a specific genre or movie he wanted to see the most. It would be fun to decide together. "Breakfast is ready. Omelets with button mushrooms and some fruits." Saeki said and kissed their cheek before he finished his last touches on the breakfast for them both.

Patrick hugged and kissed his beloved boyfriend then gently nuzzled the other’s cheek with his own cheek. “Uh, well they reduced the mandatory sessions to every other day after proving that I further down the top priority” he said while still holding on to him. He was fine with deciding together and had the cinema schedule on hand. “Sounds lovely, dearie” he said about what is on the menu for breakfast. Reluctantly let go of Saeki after the kiss on the cheek, he didn’t want to let go, but enjoyed watching him walk away. Watching his beloved resume cooking, his phone rang then he answered after seeing Kenzie’s name on screen. “Yeah, the package arrived Kenzie and I was just about to open it” he said into the phone then proceeded to open the package. The contents was a clear bag of neatly sealed gourmet cookies. “I don’t know. You know how iffy I am about accepting perishables from clients” he said to Kenzie while examining the bag closely. “He’s the client…well, I guess he could be the exception” he said, agreeing to try out the cookies since this particular client is dating Kenzie. He trusted Kenzie's judgment considering his dating track record hasn’t caused any problems that he knows of. “Heh, I’ll give my feedback later” he hung up the phone seeing that breakfast was plated and set on the table. A reminder voicemail for Emerald’s kitten shots was still on the phone after briefly checking the voicemail, they’re spread out since its a burden for the body to do it all at once and the same thing was done with Hiro. Compliment his boyfriend on the meal during and after then went over the movie schedule for their movie marathon date. Patrick baked them a nice snack to have for movie watching including that bag of gourmet cookies and they would buy drinks at the cinema for the free refills. For the movies with less people in the back they would sit back there and do some naughty things that they could get away with. The possibility of getting caught if they were too loud was thrilling in of itself to Patrick and hoped it was the same for his partner. For dinner it was takeout from a nearby fast food restaurant since it was past midnight by the time they arrived home.

Patrick had been teaching his cats some tricks after hearing the benefits of it from passerbyers while spending time outside with Saeki. Hiro on the first week then Emerald on the second week and now rotating them on the same day. The topic of him permanently becoming a resident of this household did come up recently and he unceremoniously declined the generous invite. Didn’t want to keep the reasons a secret from Saeki yet he didn’t feel ready to share them for the time being. So if the topic came up he would change the topic and inadvertently has been spending less time with his boyfriend. Not the same amount as he did during the time of the stalking ordeal although enough to notice as he filled that time with training and sorting through his property at the other place. He has been thinking it over and he wasn't attached to this place considering what happened to him in the past. This rental home had a permanent association to it and the more reason to accept the invite if he was finding the next place to live at.

Patrick was on the phone with Kenzie while watching the pouring rain outside and he was standing in front of a window in one of the two living rooms physically alone. He yawned, “Of course, I’m tired. No thanks to that leaked information that the company got exposed. Such bad attention that the real clients got buried by those trolls' crap” he complained and huffed. Not to mention he was still avoiding Saeki to avoid the move-in talk and have been sleeping on the couch a few of the times he was at this house. Otherwise when he wasn't training the cats he was busy with work at his place. He does have a surprise for his boyfriend that would hopefully mend things between them. Something he felt he must do before he can accept his boyfriend's invitation to officially move in. “No clue who did it. I’ll leave it to you, Mr. Sleuther. Coming out to the public address these false accusations could very much confirm it for those accusers, but the result could be no different by keeping quiet and I don’t want those closest to me affected by this” he said before hearing a beeping sound indicating that the phone was receiving another incoming call. “I have a call waiting. Speak to you later, bro” he said and gave the other a chance to speak and finish before ending the call. “Hello?....Yes, this is he…..today is doable…I’ll be there at that time” he said before ending the second call. “Saeki! I’ll be out for a while!” he announced. He thought he should at least give his boyfriend a heads up of his departure. He petted the cats on the way to the entry then put on his boots and raincoat before grabbing an umbrella to shield him from the rain.[exit]

Patrick's return took longer than the time it took to arrive at the destination. It was around evening so a chunk of the day was gone and the rain was not coming down as heavy in this area as it was earlier. Still had the small bouquet of flowers in his possession. One white lily of the valley and two pink roses, and three blue tulips based on the meaning for this occasion to make the apologizing go smoother mostly on his end. This relationship is very important to him and he wanted to show that by not being empty handed. He was greeted by their furry pets as he was putting away the umbrella he had used. “Hey, little ones” he greeted them softly. “Aki, is Saeki home?” he asked the dog. He believed the dog would understand at the mention of the owner’s name. Didn’t have the energy to be calling out to the other male or checking the kitchen considering what time of day it is. A nap would be nice, but the apology comes first, the sooner the better things could be. Sat down and took off his wet boots with the small bouquet next to him then shoo away Hiro when he noticed the feline swiping at the flowers. “No, no, Hiro. These flowers aren’t for playing with” he said sternly then picked up at the bouquet before Emerald could make an attempt in touching the flowers too. Slipped his feet into slippers before exiting out of the entryway to the living room, the one without the tv.
