Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions, also known as Madam Malkin's Robes or simply Madam Malkin's, is a shop in North Side, Diagon Alley. Students get their Hogwarts school uniforms there, and wizards and witches can also purchase dress robes, travelling cloaks, and also, on very rare occasions, invisibility cloaks. The shop was previously owned by Fiona Donati nรฉe McKinney, whom passed it down to her shop assistant Alice Whitemore nรฉe Lancaster in 2044. Alice learned everything from Fiona. As such she has tried hard since taking over to continue running things the same way Fiona had. There's no surprise seeing Alice's own works in the shop.

Steffi paid for the text books before slipping them inside her bag carefully and taking Calliope's hand once more. "Alright robes next!" She said with a smile. She found it amusing the girl was always worried about her and not herself... or maybe she was talking about being sleepy because she herself was sleepy and didn't want to say so. "Well we're almost done with shopping I think. Robes, and then the most important thing, a wand, and I think we are set."
Steffi offered the girl another smile, before leading the way into the robes shop. Madame Malkins felt the same as always, even though it had changed hands a few years back. Though the new owner had been a shop assistant for many years before that so it wasn't like it was a huge change. "I'm pretty sure they sell school robes in a nice and easy set!" She mentioned as she began to look around.

Calliope watched Steffi pack away the books, then she offered a hand back down. The younger blonde reached out, happily accepting the hand offered. They were going to get her robes next, which were going to be her attire for the next year.... at least she was pretty sure. After commenting on Steffi getting sleepy, the woman casually mentioned being near done with shopping. Of course, for Callie, that proved that Steffi was sleepy. They discussed shopping, then headed over to the clothes shop.
Once they got in, Callie looked around the shop. It was full of clothes, but it was all done in black, save the stuff done up for school houses. "How do we buy clothes? I thought we wouldn't know about our house colors until after we started?" She looked up at the woman, gesturing vaguely at the colorful sweaters. She had also realized another problem, this one being that she had no idea how to pick clothes. She'd never actually purchased clothing before, so she had no idea how it worked. After a nervous shuffle, she squeezed Steffi's hand, frowning nervously.

Tzuki carefully turned her head, again trying to detect everyone. Archie chimed in to her father's question, saying they should go get their school robes. Apparently they tailored them right there, which was nothing really new to Tzuki. Her family had a tailor they often went to, but she was mostly happy because her new friend was excited. "Sure thing. Robes. They've gotta be black, I think? For school. Plus we have to get all the stuff for our uniforms." She nodded, a bright grin appearing.
"Alright, robes! That'd be.... Madame Malkins? No... yes? Sorry, it's been a while." Damian's cool voice came out, followed by his hearty, jovial laugh. Luckily, Archie's mum - Laura - agreed to the location and led the way. Damian moved his hand from Tzuki's shoulder, carefully tapping the girl's hand so he could guide her. Eventually, the group made it to the shop, though AnaSofia noticed the boy - Harpy - or whatever his name was, staring at her. She stamped her foot, tugging on Damian's sleeve. "Why is that one watching me?" Her sharp voice was almost a hiss, though it was a whisper.
At the thought that someone was insulting her new friend, Tzuki chimed in. "It's just 'cause you're so... so fabulous, Ana~" Tzuki's voice was verging on the line between sarcastic and endearing. She knew it would annoy AnaSofia, while not bugging the rest. And at the loud huff of annoyance, she was right. Once in the shop, Tzuki clicked her tongue a few times, trying to get a location on... anything. She knew where her dad was, and vaguely where AnaSofia was... but nothing about this shop. "Okay! We made it to the shop, what's up first?" Normally she just wore whatever her dad or AnaSofia picked out... but this time she had set clothes to get. Hopefully the shopkeep knew what they'd need
spaceAndi sighed as she browsed the racks at Madam Malkin's, not really sure what exactly she was supposed to be looking for. If she'd been smart about this, she would've asked James for help. But the idea of him accompanying her on a shopping trip honestly kind of sounded like hell. She knew she could be vain, but she had nothing on him, and he was just as much of a fashionista as he was a jock. A disturbing combination, really. Maybe Lyre would've been a better choice, but then again, they had very different taste.
spaceUnfortunately, Andi wasn't one for dressing in much other than jeans and a flannel shirt with a vest top underneath it. Or workout gear. Or her uniform to play in. Which was apparently not something she could wear for literally every public appearance, which was bullshite, she thought. She was there because she played Quidditch, why couldn't she just wear her scrimmage clothes or something? They had the team logo on them and everything!
spaceBut, no. Apparently part of being a professional quidditch player, even if you had not yet attained the level of fame James had (which she could honestly do without; she just wanted to play, thanks), was dressing up in nice-ish clothes for public appearances and the occasional photo shoot. Which meant she needed to expand her wardrobe. Which meant she needed to figure out a style preference that was more dressy than her current, but not so dressy she felt like she was going to scream. Ugh. She wished those stupid makeover shows her mother had liked to watch didn't always end with the woman looking like the girliest girl to ever girl. Andi was far from butch, but she wasn't some super feminine dainty flower in pastels and lace, either. She liked flowers, sure. But she also liked plaid flannel shirts. And metal bands. God, wouldn't it be easier if she could just wear t-shirts? Then she could rep her team, and the bands she liked. Honestly, Manic Pixie should have some sort of deal with the Holyhead Harpies anyway. They were like, the perfect band for the team. C'mon.
spaceNone of this was helpful, of course. But there was only so much staring at clothes Andi could do before her mind started to wander. Maybe she'd ask Dagrun. She could probably help, right? Worst case scenario, she'd ask Jack. Though, that was only in case of an absolute emergency. She shuddered.

Eve sighed as she carried Verity into the shop. She swore that toddlers should have like, some sort of growing charms on their clothes or something considering how often they outgrew them. As it was, she was especially glad that she knew cleaning charms to take care of clothes, because otherwise Verity's clothing would be permanently stained by now. She loved her daughter, she really did, but there was only so much that she could take before she wanted to throw in the towel.
It was probably a good thing that her family had been pretty relaxed regarding Verity, even though she swore that her twin was forever sighing, Chance had managed to track down the guy that got her pregnant and insist that he at least pay child support, and her grandfather had given her this look that suggested that he was disappointed in her. He didn't have to yell, no, apparently he did a very good job of making you feel like you made a mistake by just giving you a lecture on making mistakes. Not that her own father and mother were innocent there, since both had kids before they got married, and Mum had gotten pregnant at her age.
Needless to say, she had decided to take Verity out for some new clothes and some new outfits for herself. She was tired of post-maternity wear, and she was determined to at least look good when she went to impress the quidditch scouts. Her mum and aunt were former quidditch players, sure, but that didn't guarantee her a spot on any team. It just meant that she at least got someone looking at her for potential. After putting Verity down, she gave her daughter a look and told her to stay put while she perused the racks.
Verity, however, was bored. Her mum was looking though clothes, and she wanted to do something. She looked from her mum to other people, then decided to toddle over to one of the other customers. Looking up at her, she tugged on the lady's pants and cocked her head to the side."What'cha doing?"
spaceAndi noticed the little girl, and her extremely attractive mum, the second they entered the shop. The mum, she thought, looked very familiar, but they seemed to be about the same age so they'd probably gone to school together. It was probably not great to be ogling a woman when she was out with her extremely young child, but Andi was here to shop, and "window shopping" counted, she decided. It wasn't like she had the poor taste to go flirt with the woman, after all.
spaceShe was also well aware when the toddler approached her, and trying rather hard to ignore the girl since she was a stranger. She had no business bothering with another woman's kid in public, and anyway, it's not like the girl would get lost. The shop wasn't that big. Mum didn't seem too worried, either, so it was probably no big deal. So Andi was trying, rather hard in fact, to not pay any mind to the little girl, no matter how much her love of children and especially toddlers made her want to swoop the girl up and play with her. That would be weird. And contrary to popular belief, she was the normal one in her family. Most of the time, anyway.
spaceOf course... should a child approach her, and speak to her, she could hardly be blamed for responding. So the child's question filled her with a sense of glee unlike any other; she could both talk to the child, and would probably at least get to say a couple sentences to her very, very pretty mother when the woman came to collect her kid. Andi grinned, mostly to herself, though her eyebrows remained furrowed in frustration at her clothing-hunt failures.

So I'm trying to figure out what, exactly, "nice-ish" means."Could a toddler pick up her sarcasm? Probably not. Nice-ish had been the exact words the team's manager had used, coupled with a 'eh' hand gestures, which was extremely unhelpful. Dammit. Hey, maybe the mom could offer fashion advice. Or the kid could, and Andi would show up to an interview like "I let a little girl in the robe shop dress me because she was so dang cute." That had to be good for PR, right?
