platinum to gold conversions confuse the heck out of me @~@ since i still use gold @~@
I can totally understand that - it's an odd conversion. But why use gold when plat gives you more around the site?
i just cant get used to the small numbers and possibly nostalgia? gold is just easier to me at least
Gold is easier to say and prettier (to my eyes), but here's the reason I use plat: surfing, voting, and posting all give WAY more in plat than gold (1 plat = 10,000,000 gold, so even if you only earn 1 plat, it's far more than say 1,000 gold).
but what happens if you were to say switch back to gold it would be the same amount right?

I don't think so. Commenting on a person's profile earns about 500 plat the first time you do it each day, but only 40,000.000 gold (equals 4 plat). So if you were set to earn plat you would get much more for it than if you were set to earn gold. Odd, I know.
