She has suffered through depression, having a few suicidal moments that left her in the Psychiatric Ward at hospitals for months on end, but was able to get out of it through medication and her boyfriend; who came back into her life after a bad period in his own life. Background:
Eva grew up reading and watching the Harry Potter series and when she found out she was essentially a witch herself, she wanted nothing more than to experience the closest thing to Hogwarts as was possible. Saint Sandorez was the most reputable school for students like herself, but she would have to graduate High School before she could apply. She tried to use the spells in the book, but they didn't work for her, but she did find her own spells using runes. Her family line of witches, Salem descendants, originally came from Celtic areas before moving to the United States. She uses the Celtic Runes as a way of performing magic, also able to use spells in Irish rather than Latin. Her mental health took a dive during this time of exploration of her powers, and she met her boyfriend Stanley in the Psychiatric Ward. They had been friends years before, but he moved to Maine and she stayed in Salem. They met back up and they were unofficially dating for months before moving out on their own and starting their own lives together. They applied for Saint Sandorez and were accepted, moving into a shared dorm room and continuing their lives.

Stanley has had a long, troubled life. His father walked out on him and his mother, leaving him cynical and bitter about the world. None of his relationships seemed to work, as he was always trying to find something in others that wasn't there. He met Eva online through a friend of his who he had previously dated in Auckland, Haleigh, and the two became incredibly close. He moved to Maine at the same time as Haleigh, as she was trying to get back with him, and he and Eva were all but partners in crime. Haleigh became incredibly toxic and caused his mental health to slip, resulting in them becoming engaged, breaking up, her moving to Australia, and him ending up in the Psychiatric Ward in Boston, where Eva was also undergoing treatment for her suicidal depression. They started an unofficial relationship while there, and once they were released, moved into an apartment of their own and started their lives. He has worked a variety of odd-jobs to keep them supported and appreciates all of Eva's strangeness, even her desire to make TIK TOK videos. He is highly protective of her and won't tolerate anyone talking about her badly.

Stanley had a troubled life back in New Zealand, a life he doesn't like talking about. He is an often cold and cynical person who hates physical touch and being around people. He is a smoker and an alcoholic, coping mechanisms he learned to deal with his mental issues. After a seriously bad relationship with his ex, Haleigh, he put himself into a Psychiatric Ward in Boston. he repaired his friendship with Eva, whom he had met online through Haleigh, as the two met on MeetMe and become close. The two started a slow relationship; Stanley not wanting to be hurt again and needing time to heal and Eva being hesitant to let people close as she had always been let down in the end. Once released, they got jobs and moved to their own place in up-state New York, both working odd jobs to keep themselves afloat. Once they got accepted into the University under a scholarship program, they were given financial security so long as their grades remained above a pass.

Sophie is a bright and confident person of immense beauty who has men and women clamouring over her. She tries not to break hearts, but it's hard when she is asexual as well as pansexual. She has a hard time making true friends, as many have been liars and used her only to better their social appearance by being around her. Sophie grew up with narcolepsy all but ruining her life. She had to drop out of school and do online schooling because she would fall asleep during class. She tried every medication, diet, and routine she could to try and find a solution. She moved to the United States when she was 14 to try and see a specialist in Boston to try and come to a solution. While she was seeking treatment, her anxiety went through the roof and she self-harmed as a way to cope. She was sent to the Psychiatric Ward to recover, where she met Eva and Calvin, who she bonded with straight away. Eva and her grew super close and she had a connection with Calvin as they were both pansexual. She was given Freya as her anxiety. Loki was trained to know when her narcolepsy would hit and guide her to a safe spot to sleep, licking her face once the episode was over. Both Loki and Freya have a super-heightened sense of smell, and Sophie's narcolepsy has a metallic taste in her mouth, something she is unaware of because of her own tongue piercing having the same taste. She has a medical slip from her doctor to use at Saint Sandorez, giving her extra time for assignments and giving her access to online classes should her narcolepsy affect her more than usual. She always carries around a blanket and a pillow in her bag for sleeping, having treats as well for when Freya and Loki wake her.

Beautiful to look at, but a vastly intelligent woman to learn from, Jaime isn't to be underestimated. She is a woman if skills she honed well before she developed her powers, so they were an added benefit to her work, but not something she used or abused to get there. Jaime is a Swedish born and raised doctor who didn't develop her powers until she was in her 30s, the only one in her family to do so. Because she was such a late bloomer, she never pursued a career that her powers fit into, although she was lucky that her powers assisted in her medical career rather than work against it. She learned English in High School and moved to Canada to further her skills. She worked in some of the best hospitals and eventually took up a master's degree in teaching, through an online university, so she could change her career again and teach medicine to students. She knows she will eventually return to a hospital, but she hopes she will be working with her old students and watch them grow into doctors and nurses in their own rights.

Music has always been a big part of Edison's life. He grew up learning how to play the guitar and piano, and attempted learning the violin to no avail (he turned to learning harmonica as a result). Edison grew up with parents who both had psychic based abilities, so his power was a unique change and a challenge for his parents to control. He would summon his imaginary friends and they would cause chaos across the house. He learned to control his powers young because of his parents wanting order, but was always left not knowing his full potential. He would occasionally activate his powers when singing normally, but would try and make the spirits as hidden as possible. Entering into Saint Sandorez, he isn't afraid to let the spirits show, and he wants to make the most of his powers and study.
