Gently flipping her sign to ‘open’ Dea was sure today was going to be a slow day as she could smell the rain. Her son had left once more on his travels and Teal Tale was traveling back home for a time so she was alone yet again. That was something she was getting used to, the silence. Perhaps Annie was right and she should go on a date. Though being blind made signing up hard and of course that was an off putting characteristic to list as well. She was familiar enough with her shop that she could tell were everything was without looking and the same was true in her home as well but moving about town she used her ‘bumper’ method which also meant others tended to keep their distance as well. It was easier when she was with someone. Maybe she should get a pet? Dea sat behind the desk musing over that line of thought while the first few drops of rain splattered against the door.

Dea could hear the door open and someone come in. “Hello and welcome to words and wisdom book shop. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you find.” She smiled toward the sound of dripping. She really should have stocked towels or something in the back but she didn’t have any. It was a real shame. She would make sure to correct that in the future. An ear flicked to the sound of the rain outside. It was really coming down hard. The storms that came usually ran fast and cleared quickly. “Take all the time you need. This weather outside seems like it will clear up but it might be a bit of a wait. There are chairs in the back if you want to browse by the lore and magic section.”
