So what is a Mini Pae?

________________________In simple terms, they are small pae, ranging from half the size of a pae down to the size of a ferret.

________________________They stand out on their own because they are special and unique. The best way to get one is through events, or with a magical stone in the Fountain of Secrets.

________________________In the meta-plot, they don't have the same origins as a regular Pae. Each type is different.

Tikicat Pae'il

________________First discovered Mini Pae'il type. Not mentioned in any history books, these types of Pae’il are considered to be a modern-era discovery.

:[ What are Tikicat Pae'il? ]:

They are a Mini Pae'il which means at full size, they stand at about half the size as a normal Pae. They wear wooden masks that are handed down to them from their parents. Their parents usually will paint the face. They carry sticks that serve as many tools, but most often as a fishing pole or fishing toy.

:[ Habitat ]:
• Venus’ Resort Island. They are also known to live around the island. They do not have a specific habitat and can flourish anywhere except water.
  
• They live in tribes. Tribes will include several families.
  
• They worship the Thunderbird, Wakinyan as their deity. They are protective of him.
  
• Males and females are equal in the tribe. Most of the time it is hard to tell a female from a male behind the mask.
  
• They have ritualistic dances, such as rain dances and sun dances and wedding dances and fishing dances. They like to dance.list]
  :[ Biology ]:
  • Their growth rate is faster than a normal Pae. They have a growth spurt from child to adult so it’s hard to find a teenage Tikicat.
    
  • Full feline Pae’il
    
  • They are a free-love type society.
    
  • Babies are live-born, and are tiny. Their eyes are closed and their ears are folded down. They are helpless at this stage. Survival rates for orphaned babies is extremely low.
    
  • Children will require food hunted for them, and are still rather vulnerable to predators. Their senses are becoming sharper. This is the stage where they start testing their boundaries. Play-fighting is not uncommon as it serves as a method to learn pain thresholds, and ability limitations.
    
  • Adults spend much of their time hunting, fishing and dancing.
    
  • They have retractable claws
    
  • They are omnivores

  :[ Reproduction ]:
  • They have litters of up to 3 kittens. Two is the most common amount.
    
  • They are live-born
    
  • They nurse
    
  • They can breed with any type of Pae’il. The female must be either another Tikicat or a type larger than the male in order to produce young.
    
  • The offspring can be either Tikitcat or the other type of Pae. There are no hybrids, however the masks can be given to full-size Pae.
    
  • Female Tikicats can only give birth to Tikikittens
  
  :[ Typical Behavior ]:
  These are only guidelines, as they can have any personality the player wants to give them.
  • Clever
    
  • If a Tikicat is encountered in the natural habitat on Venus’ Resort Island, they will feel threatened and are prone to attack.
    
  • They will woo each other by doing the mating dance.
    
  • They collect little things that can be carried back to their hut, or home on the mainland.
    
  • They are nimble little things with a bulky mask on.

  • Tikicats do not possess any magical abilities but they are resistance to lightning.
    
  • They do not get a special, unique power like other Pae'il. They all have the same abilities.
  
  :[ Weaknesses ]:
  • They do not take their mask off, so it can be cumbersome sometimes
    
  • Water – they are useless in water. Can’t swim
    
  • Aversion to snow and cold temperatures
    
  • Simple-minded and susceptible to mind-alternating magic.
    
  
  


:[ Factions, Associations & Meta-Plot Information ]:
• Tikicats are neutral, and do not belong to any faction, unless they choose one.
  
• If a Tikicat does decide to join a particular faction, they will be subject to that faction's rules and laws.
