EXP is quantified by the number of words in your post. For every 100 words you write, each active party pokemon gets 1 EXP, so at 200 words, each active party member gets 2 EXP, at 300 words, 3 EXP, and so on. This stops after 1000 words, i.e. the max EXP you can get per pokemon per post is 10 without any exp bonuses. Posts can have more than 1000 words in them, however the word limit for bonus EXP is 1000. The word count doesn't round up, so if you have 199 words, it's still only 1 exp per pokemon, not 2. Pokemon, NPCs, and Items:
All wild pokemon are encountered in the Dream World by spending Pokemon Encounter Post Points, and they will match the average level of your active party. You ARE allowed to capture pokemon in the Dream World. Any pokemon caught in the Dream World can stay with your trainer while they travel around the Dream World, but will be mysteriously transported to your trainer's PC when they wake up. The pokemon encountered in the Dream World are usually only available in select areas of the guild, so use this as an opportunity to catch your favorite pokemon or fill up your pokedex!
You may also battle NPCs in the Dream World, as other trainers will be getting thrown into the realm as well. Their maximum combined team level will be equal to 4 times your active party's average level.
Battle Changes:
-All Battles will be Inverse Battles -Obedience Rules do not apply -Lower level pokemon will move first -Status altering moves will work in reverse, as if the pokemon using it has the ability Contrary. For pokemon who actually have the ability Contrary, status altering moves work normally.

"Perhaps this tree is responsible for these effects?" Hikaru spoke still sounding a little uncertain. Lucario folded his arms and sat down. "We should be careful, but I believe..." then Lucario realized that between the five them he was the only one with his feet still planted firmly on the ground. It was strange he hadn't noticed anyone hovering or floating at all but now they were. He stood up and unfurled his arms. Not sure exactly how to do this floating thing Lucario took a step at the air. His foot came back down. Maybe this was something he had to concentrate on? He fled to his thoughts for brief moment before jumping straight up. He left the ground and started floating. He cracked a small but very brief smile before regaining his composure. Right, so this is what it felt like to fly. It was a strange feeling indeed.
Giovanni floated up with Arezu before her own Lucario, Hikaru decided to join them. "Whoa, hey, Hikaru!" Arezu spoke while they watched the Fighting Type do a flip in the air. "Heh... This is... Rather fun!" she spoke before Gio sprayed juice on himself. "... I think you can let go now," Arezu joked. Gio now embarrassed let go of her hand as he fumbled around looking for a quick way to try and dry himself off. "Seriously?" she continued "What did you think was gonna happen?" she finished with a snort. Gio threw a hand behind his head as he tiled it with a slight semi obviously fake laugh. "Well, I thought that if we can float," he moved his hand from behind his head and placed it by his face tapping the side of his cheek with a finger. "Maybe it was like outer space and I could drink juice that floats to." he said.
When Skarmory had returned the female Trainer spoke to her as well. "I'm secretly a Flying Pokemon she said. Skarmory gave a slight caw as if giving an approval. She took off towards the female Lucario whom was also new to the group. Hovering she peered at the Pokemon while it enjoyed the flip. She was impressed so she did one herself before taking back off to the sky.
Meanwhile, Lucario was gaining momentum and bumped into his Trainer, Gio. Before he knew it they were both floating, with some momentum, towards the base of a snowy mountain. "Hey come on buddy I don't even know how to control this." it was to late though soon enough Gio and his Lucario hit the dirt in front of the cave. They came crashing down and Gio looked over at his Lucario before looking back towards the tree to. "Wow, would you look at that" Gio a little upsetting with himself for being knocked so far away from the tree.

Actually, the juice making droplets like in space would've been pretty cool. If they had all gone floating everywhere, they could have flown around trying to catch them in their mouths... "That's a good point. If this is a...a dream-" she stumbled over the word and idea, still finding it weird, "-then I guess stuff like that could just happen."
Weird that they were drawn here. There seemed to be other people waking up around the tree, so maybe this was some kind of...widespread event? Maybe some super powerful pokemon was responsible? If so, what was the point? She couldn't shake the feeling that there was something ominous about all of this. But she didn't see much of a way to wake themselves back up, so... might as well look around, right?
If this Gio guy didn't mind, they could go around together. Might be a good idea to stick nearby just in case he had anything to do with how they needed to get back. Considering how he'd said he'd come here before, Arezu thought there was a decent chance she'd just been caught up when he got sucked in. Besides, she'd been thinking about how she should try making some human friends, and they already had battling in common.
Meanwhile up in the branches, Hikaru had noticed her new companion and drifted closer to Skarmory. She laughed, twisting in a barrel roll as she flew past. Her trajectory took her into open air away from the tree. It took some practice to be able to move around without the solid surface of the trunk and branches to use as turning points. With some experimenting, she found that she could released controlled pulses of focus blasts from her paws and that would shoot her forward.
She'd barely begun using her new flying technique to join Skarmory in a proper flight when she heard Arezu calling for her. Surprised, she realized that Gio and Lucario's auras were no longer with her trainer. It actually took her a few seconds to find them, while she flew back towards the ground.
"Hey," Arezu grinned, enjoying her friend's happiness. "Could I hitch a ride with Air Force Hikaru?" Hikaru snorted, but she wrapped one paw around Arezu's stomach and aimed them towards the distant Gio and Lucario.
Welp, hopefully this wasn't his subtle way of telling me to get lost, Arezu joked to herself as she and Hikaru landed in a light dusting of snow. "Hey Ace, how's it hanging?" she teased. She looked down the entrance to the cave, taking her eyes off Gio just in case the guy wanted to stand up after that crash without being watched. She stood on the edge of the dirt path he and Lucario 'landed' on, with snow heaped up around the entrance to a cave. Cold wind blew outward, but...
"Strange..." Hikaru murmured beside her, leaning down to scoop up some snow off the edge of the path. "Yeah. It's cold, but-""-not cold at all," Hikaru finished for her, letting the snow fall down to the ground. It felt cold, but somehow they could both tell that they wouldn't freeze, no matter how long they stood in it.

Skarmory flew in a circle around her new friend, who was doing barrel rolls in there air. Thinking it was some kind of game she started to fly up and down in a wave motion. Before following her out to the open air away from the tree. She told her head. Was this a race? Did Hikaru want to race? Skarmory soon realized it wasn't a race though as the Lucario's Trainer called her back down to the ground. Curious as to where Gio had gone Skarmory choose to follow Hikaru down to the ground. "Hey," the female Trainer grinned "Could I hitch a ride with Air Force Hikaru?" the female Lucario wrapped an arm around her Trainer before taking off to a point in the sky. Skarmory looked towards the direction and noticed her Trainer was that way. She narrowed her eyes in disappointment from her Trainer for ruining her fun, but shot out towards the area they seemed to be going to.
"Hey Ace, how's it hanging?" Arezu teased Gio who quickly picked himself up quickly while the female looked away. She took the words out his mouth so he wasn't really sure what to say "Yeah yeah yeah" he shot a look over at Lucario as if to say thanks for that.
Lucario did not notice the look but instead noticed the same thing the other two had. He walked up to the entrance of the cave. So they were at an entrance to a cave then? He stepped forward into the entrance of the cave and could feel the soft crunch of snow below him. How was this possible? For something to be cold, but not cold at all? To him it felt like snow but the padding to his paw felt normal.
Giovanni gave a slightly nefarious grin before charging to the entrance. He picked up a clump of snow and dove behind a rock somewhat inside the cave. He rolled it into a ball and came out from behind the rock and turned towards Arezu an Hikaru's direction. "Think fast!!" he chucked it at Arezu. As he did he realized that the snow ball had an extra passenger on it. Cerrobend had apparently attached herself and wasn't happy about being thrown. Gio's mouth dropped and his face displayed he knew he just messed up. The Pineco started to glow before using Self Destruct causing rocks and snow to start coming down towards the entrance.

Arezu, who had grown up with the one little s**t named Hakuren, knew what Gio was up to before he'd even picked up any snow. Nah, he's probably not actually- He went behind a rock, and even though he was completely out of sight, Arezu was pretty damn sure he was making a snowball. She grinned, jumping out of the way and towards a pile of snow as soon as Gio came back out and threw the first attack.
Arezu was scooping up a quick clump of snow when she felt Hikaru's arm hook around her stomach. "Hikar-ooph!" Hikaru hauled Arezu into the cave and away from the sudden explosion. If she hadn't been able to sense the explosion of aura before it happened, she might not have seen the bright light of the coming self-destruct in the white of the snow. There wasn't time to be gentle or to turn around and dash out of the cave. Instead she went as deep as she could to get Arezu away from the falling rocks and snow at the entrance.
The explosion was loud in the enclosed space, but thankfully dream logic meant their ears weren't ringing for more than a few seconds. The roar of the rock slide kept going though, completely cutting off the light from the entrance.
"Ugh. What- what happened?"
Hikaru was already moving for Gio. It was only her ability to read his aura and tell he hadn't been trying to hurt Arezu that made her stop. Gio seemed to be just as surprised. Hikaru was angry, and scared, because that had been so close to Arezu. This might be a dream, but what if they got hurt? This was clearly more real than a normal dream. The lucario took a breath to calm herself, appreciative of the darkness to hide her lack of composure. "Gio, what was that?" If he said 'I don't know' again Hikaru was going to be... well, she wouldn't really be surprised.
Arezu slowly got to her feet. Was that explosion... Gio's fault? He didn't- didn't do it on purpose, right? Dammit, I need to see. Arezu fished on her belt for her pokeballs, trying to do it from memory. It was.. this one, right? There was a dull flash of red. "Hey, Flurry, give us some light?" She heard a quiet snort, and then wisps of flickering flames surrounded them, filling the cave with soft blue light. "Thanks Flur- Sham!?"
The lunine stood there with what was definitely a smirk on his face. "You- how- I-" She kept his pokeball right next to Flurry's, so she must have messed up grabbing it, but how did he make those lights? "Whatever. thanks." At least now they could all see each other.
"So, yeah Gio, what she said. You were looking at the entrance right? What happened?" She'd give him the benefit of the doubt, yeah, but she was also happy to keep one hand on Sham's side so she had both the lunine and Hikaru between her and him. Sham, meanwhile, cocked his head. He hadn't seen what had happened, but... as much as he wasn't a fan of humans... this new one didn't seem bad. Kinda seemed like a cool dude, actually. [ "Hikaru-" ] he was about to say something, but the lucario immediately nodded at him. If both she and him felt the same way, then it was probably fine.
Sham, in a rare show of sensitivity, made sure that his dancing lights wouldn't actually burn anybody in the room (even though it'd be hilarious). He could do that later, when everyone wasn't so worried.
"Gio, what was that?" Hikaru asked. Whom was respectfully upset over the situation. He was still locked up though and so Lucario stepped forward for him and walked over to Hikaru. "That would be a Pokemon" he pointed the female Lucario towards the entrance where a strange Pokemon cry started to fill up the cave the Pineco began to whine at being thrown across entrance.
"So, yeah Gio, what she said. You were looking at the entrance right? What happened?" Arezu quizzed. Gio placed an arm behind his head and gave a little fake laugh. "That was, well is" he started to run over towards the the still crying Pokemon. Picking her up out of the snow Gio showed the group by holding the Pineco in his hands. "This is Cerrobend, a baby Pineco I found" he was trying to calm her down while introduce her as well.
Gio replaced her back into her little hammock in the sling on his jacket and started to try and rock her back to sleep. "She must have fallen out into the snow before I threw it," he laughed. Before thinking maybe they seriously thought he was gonna hurt him. He shot a thumb across his nose. "Hey if I was gonna hurt ya it wouldn't have been with Cerrobend here." he tried to joke about the situation. It was bad any way he looked at it except now they were stuck in this cave. "But on a side more serious note, how are we gonna get outa here?"
Gio walked over to the former entrance and placed a hand on one of the rocks. Yep, he thought. He'd really done it this time. There was no way they were gonna be able to move all of this. Looked like they were trapped.

Arezu just stared at Gio. Was he- yes, yes he was serious. He actually just had a baby pinecone lying around and somehow accidentally lobbed it at them, it blew up, trapped them in a cave... god, it was ridiculous! Arezu couldn't help but bark out a laugh and grin. Hakuren would probably like this guy. Too bad he and Cecily had been out walking the city when they got drawn in here. "Jeez, you're ridiculous." She adopted a goofy fake voice to say, "I'm sorry officer, I didn't know the pine cone was loaded."
The amusement drifting off Arezu was enough to round off the edges of Hikaru's remaining aggravation. Now that she knew that it had just been a (weirdly explosive) mistake, she wondered if she hadn't been a bit overly paranoid. After all, Gio hadn't given any indication that he wasn't being genuine. But no, she didn't think it wasn't justified. Well, if nothing else, I will be keeping an eye on Mr.Klutz here in case he does something like that again. At least no one got hurt.
"So how's it look?" Arezu asked, watching Gio as he gave the exit a look. The previous exit, that was now a pile of rocks. "Well, guess we can just explore farther in." She looked deeper into the cave. Where it was unlit by Sham's lights, it fell into darkness, but... was that a faint glow she saw in the distance? It was hard to tell. Just... please don't be full of bats... Her grip on Sham's fur tightened. The lunine rolled his head, but he didn't force her hand off. He uh... he might have discovered that getting pets wasn't the worst thing in the world, heh. Not like he'd ever tell Arezu that or anything, though.

Gio was still shell shocked that he made this kind of mistake that had almost cost some people their lives. He felt better though as Arezu erupted with laughter "Jeez, you're ridiculous." she spoke before she adopted funny fake voice "I'm sorry officer, I didn't know that pine cone was loaded" Gio snickered before adopting a mocking voice similar to Officer Jenny "If we weren't trapped I would take you in" Hikaru didn't seem to believe him as she let him know that she would keep a hard eye on Gio "Well, if nothing else, I will be keeping an eye on Mr.Klutz here in case he does something like that again." Gio turned and made a face at the Lucario, popping his tongue and stretching his eye with a finger. "What's the matter?" he quizzed "You think I'm the bomb Hikaru?" he made a small explosion with his hands.
Lucario face palmed. Leave it to his Trainer to almost kill someone and find a way to take the mick out of it. But surely they couldn't be trapped from that, so he used Laser Focus making sure to try an pinpoint the weakest spot in the whole thing. He decided to follow up by trying Blaze Kick. Lucario gave a round house kick towards one of the rocks and as he did his leg lit up in a blaze of fire before making contact. Nothing, sure enough somehow Gio had trapped them all in there with seemingly no way out for quite a while."Damnit" he spoke to himself quietly.
Skarmory was on the outside of blast. She watched as the Trainers and their Lucario's all entered seemingly playing and then. Boom she was trapped away from her Trainer. She Screeched loudly as if trying to let he Trainer know she would find the other side and meet them there. She took off flying towards the top of the mountain. She thought that maybe if she could see everything around them maybe she could see another escape exit. Or maybe even a hollowed out ceiling that would let her fly down and rejoin her Trainer.
Back inside the cave however, they were inspecting the former entrance still. "So how's it look?" Arezu pondered while Gio checked over the rocks. "Not good, we are definitely trapped" Gio sadly said to the female "Well, guess we can just explore farther in." Arezu said as she looked deeper into the cave. Other than her Pokemon's light they could see a faint glow in the distance. "Well," Gio said with uncertainty "Let us hope that wasn't the start of a nightmare"

Hikaru, who had probably never heard the phrase before, scrunched up her face in confusion. "Of course not. The pineco was the bomb..." This made Arezu crack again, slapping a hand over her face as she laughed. Hikaru smirked, because she'd been acting clueless to get a rise out of her trainer. Making a joke was also her way of trying to let Gio know she really was going to trust him to not do anything now, at least nothing on purpose. Arceus, he was more destructive than the literally blind guy Arezu had met.
The sharp call of Gio's skarmory reminded both of them that it was out there. Arezu gave Sham a reassuring pat, since he had no way to know if that shriek was from a possible threat. Surprisingly, Sham seemed to actually take her word for it. Lucario gave the wall an impressive kick, lighting the cave with a fierce red light when his leg began to flicker with flames. Nothing.
"Well, even if this is some kind of weird dream, guess we can't just walk through walls." A second later she frowned, paused, walked up to the wall and tried to stick her hand through it. Nope. Solid rock. Well, it was worth a shot. She'd hoped that trying with the intention of phasing through it or something would help them get through.
Hikaru had been distracted, following the feel of Skarmory's aura in her mind's eye as teh metal bird flew around the outside looking for an entrance. It got murky quickly, until all she could feel was the weird energy of this world, even the rocks hanging heavy around her. "There are more of those strange pokemon inhere," she mentioned to Lucario. "They seem to be awake here though." She wasn't quite sure, and looked to him for confirmation. He seemed to have much more precision with sensing aura.
As they walked further into the cave, Arezu spoke up. "So, you two doing the pokemon league?" Might as well take the chance, now that they had it, to get to know Gio and Lucario better. "We're doing it, sort of. Need to fight Sabrina next, at least in Kanto." She wasn't sure why, but she wanted him to know that she wasn't just someone who lived in Saffron and took classes at the dojo.
"Of course not. The Pineco was the bomb..." Gio tilted his head and looked at Hikaru confused. Arezu started to bust out laughing again. Did Hikaru get the pun? Was this sarcasm? He looked over at his Lucario who was walking with his head down. Yep, Gio thought he was going to have to figure this one out on his own. "So are you offering to babysit?" he was serious, he thought Hikaru had been talking about him but perhaps this whole time she had been talking about Cerrobend.
As Skarmory flew higher around the mountain she noticed what seemed to he a collapsed mine shaft entrance. She flew closer and landed in front to inspect it closer. She could see further into the mine and if she could find a way to remove these wooden boards then she would be able to fly down the shaft and see if there was a way to her Trainer here. She raised her wings up above her head and brought them down sharply bringing them close together. X-Scissor that was the move and it seemed to work as she snapped one of the boards. One down she thought nine more to go.
"There are more of those strange Pokemon here," Hikaru said to Lucario "They seem to be awake here though" Lucario opened an eye peeked up. He already knew that Hikaru was talking to him but it doesn't hurt to look towards whoever is talking. "So it would seem," Lucario mumbled somewhat enthusiastically to Hikaru. "That doesn't scare you does it?" might as well try and make the best of a bad situation. They weren't getting out of here anytime soon and unless there was a fork in the cave somewhere they were all stuck together. Not that it was a bad thing, just there is no point in acting like he's upset when it's fairly apparent there is no Gyms in this world.
Seemed Arezu was thinking along the same lines deciding to make small talk also. "So, you two doing the Pokemon League?" Arezu asked "We're doing it, sort of. Need to fight Sabrina next, at least in Kanto" well, Gio thought at least she wasn't just a random local and had traveling experience. I'm doing the Johto League," he brushed a finger across the bridge of his nose before before using that hand to make a fist "I have big goals though, I'm going to beat every Gym in the world" he smiled realizing he could show off "Yeah Sabrina is tough Gym Leader, but I've faced tougher."

"So are you offering to babysit?" Gio asked. Hikaru pointedly looked Gio up and down. Silently shook her head. She wasn't offering, even if she planned to keep an eye on him. Which actually did kind of count as babysitting, if you considered Gio a big baby. Which she...kind of did, at this point. "Isn't that Lucario's job?" she joked, starting to imagine the steel-faced Lucario having to constantly keep an eye on his trainer.
Lucario seemed to be interested in Hikaru's observations about the pokemon populating the cave. "So it would seem. That doesn't scare you does it?" To this Hikaru grinned, raising a paw and flexing as if she was getting ready to punch something. "Not at all. It makes me think I could get some training in." She dropped her paw, looking into the depths of the cave. "We do need to fight Sabrina at some point, after all." Hikaru happened to be thinking along the same track as Arezu, it seemed.
Arezu, meanwhile, was tilting her head at Gio in confusion. He said he was doing the Johto League. "Oh, I didn't realize they did them for individual regions." This might take the wind out of Gio's grand proclamation of beating all the gyms in the world. "That's what I'm planning on doing too then, I guess." She did get pretty interested at him mentioning Sabrina though. More specifically, him claiming he'd 'faced tougher'. "Oh~? Like who?"
After Giovanni had asked Hikaru if she was offering to babysit it seemed she paused for a brief moment before responding "Isn't that Lucario's job?" he went silent. In reality it was the truth and Gio knew it. His Lucario and him had always been through alot, but Lucario had guided him through more than he would care to admit. The second thing he realized was that Hikaru had been talking about him the whole time and not Cerrobend. "Huh you're smart," he admitted in defeat "Ya know?"
Lucario watched Hikaru grin and make a fist with her paw and flex it about as if she was ready to punch something. "Not at all. It makes me think I could get some training in." Lucario smiled, that would be the dream. Except he would hope he could train for a full day. He never seemed to be as strong as he wanted to be or how he felt he needed to be. Maybe Aria had been right, maybe he did need to loosen up. But man did it feel good to punch a hole into something. He forced back his grin "A little training," he trailed off "Maybe"
Giovanni wasn't really sure if they were separated himself he had always just assumed they were. They had separate Elite Four and the goal was to always try and become the Champion of those Regions. Maybe they were all under one guideline though? Who knew? But if Arezu was planning on trying the same goal that made them rivals in a sense. ""Oh~? Like who?" that was a question he felt he could answer with confidence "Well like Jasmine from Olivine City for one" it wasn't the whole truth, he had never faced Jasmine in an actual Gym battle. But he knew she used Steel Types and those were tough to beat he thought.
Speaking of, he just remembered that he had barely even known anything about the person he was meeting and likely the same. "What about you then?" he asked Arezu "Who was the hardest Trainer you've ever faced?" he grinned and winked while moving to flex one of his arms.

Hikaru found herself starting to like Gio, despite his explosive impression. He was straightforward, and she could appreciate that. From, you know, twenty feet away and outside of the blast zone. If nothing else, she felt like she could understand Lucario better from understanding the human. She turned to Lucario, now curious, and asked, "How did you and Gio meet, and decide to travel together?" She'd just been caught by Arezu in the wild, but given the stories she'd heard about her own trainer's other pokemon, most of them had their own journeys and reasons for being on the team.
And to Lucario's comment about training, "A little training...maybe," Hikaru smiled. "Maybe?" She felt surprisingly energized, and started sensing for any wild pokemon that could be on the path ahead for her to fight. The feeling reminded her of the first time she trained with Arezu, an all day affair on the beach of... huh, Olivine City, actually. She'd only paid attention at the time because Arezu kept talking with Hakuren about the path they were taking for their 'Around the World' challenge. Well, that and the gym battle they'd been preparing for.
Gio mentioned Jasmine and Arezu nodded. "Oh yeah, she was tough. Do you remember, Hikaru?" she asked, at the same time the lucario's thoughts had turned to the battle on her own. Hikaru nodded. "That was fun." Arezu had almost forgotten because so much had happened since then, and the memory made her smile.
"Huh, hardest I've faced?" She watched Gio's flex, confused. It seemed like he was implying she fought them herself? Given how he'd caught her walking out of a dojo in a full martial arts uniform, it wasn't a completely weird assumption. But, no, he specified trainer, obviously he was talking about pokemon battles. Glad she hadn't said any of that out loud, she turned her eyes to the ceiling as she thought. "Well, aside from Jasmine... I guess, what was her name? The one from Fuchsia, with the poison types? That was...fun."
When she tried to think of her toughest battles, her thoughts kept going to the situations where she'd been ambushed and in actual danger. Compared to that, the gym battles felt tame, even if they were 'tougher'. Tests of skill instead of a mad scramble of a melee.
"Oh yeah, and if we count trainers with hard heads, then you qualify," she teased. She was genuinely getting curious though- if she got the chance, she kind of wanted to battle him. Arezu was pretty sure Hikaru wanted to spar with Lucario anyways.
Hikaru had turned her attention from Gio to Lucario and was curious as to how they met and began to travel together. "Hmmm" Lucario was trying to think. It had been awhile since they met but Lucario had been with Gio almost his whole life. "My Trainer and I met in a far away land that is unlike any you may know, where Pokemon are not often seen in the wild," he was of course talking about the Orre Region. "I had just barely hatched and was used in a program to create Shadow Pokemon, definitely one of the darkest secrets kept by Team Snaggem. "My Trainer rescued me using an item that allows others to capture Pokemon that wouldn't be considered Wild" it wasn't the full story and it did leave out some important parts but it was the truth. "We escaped to the Kalos region and I found out that my Trainer had stolen one of those devices, he uses it though to stifle the Shadow makers and catch and purify the Pokemon they create." in truth that was the reason they were in Kanto to begin with Gio had heard that Team Snaggem was trying to create Shadow Pokemon in certain Regions. He wanted to root them out and release the Pokemon so they could live happily in more natural lives.
Definitely maybe, Lucario thought. It wasn't that he didn't want to train he just didn't want cause any accidents and possibly get the group more stuck than they all ready were. He was raring to go, his feet felt light and his body felt lighter. Battling and Training were in his nature so of course maybe. Of course one or two battles shouldn't hurt anyone or anything, he thought.
Gio was surprised to hear that Arezu had beaten Jasmine. Then again if Sabrina was her next challenge it was definitely a high possibility. So Janine was her hardest challenge. "Janine, huh?" Gio asked brushing a thumb across his nose. "We flooded her out" he said with a chuckle. Clearly not telling her that it was literally and not figuratively.
"Oh yeah, and if we count trainers with hard heads, then you qualify," it was clearly a tease or jest but Gio bit anyway "Hey, ya have to have a heart and head of Steel if ya want to be good at Training Steel Types" he had no idea of what the former part had ment but it sounded cool in his head as a rebuttal so he went with it. He was curious though as to Arezu's real ambition with her Pokemon League journey. He folded his arms behind his head and kept walking down the tunnel for abit before asking his next question. "So, any thoughts of becoming Champion of a Region?" it was more of a straightforward question than anything but still one he was curious about.

A land where pokemon are not often seen in the wild? What kind of place could that even be like? The concept was more foreign than Hikaru expected. It sounded empty.
Lucario mentioned Shadow Pokemon, almost as if Hikaru should know what they were. She thought for a moment about asking, then decided maybe he said it the way he did because he didn't want to go into detail about it. But she just got more questions when Lucario said Gio was able to catch "pokemon that wouldn't be considered wild". She couldn't help glancing at the human in question. By 'not wild', did Lucario mean... She felt dread build in her belly. There was a way to catch pokemon who had already been caught? That was kind of terrifying. Hikaru hoped she was misunderstanding, and assured herself that she would never be stolen from Arezu's side. At least, in Lucario's story, this power had been used for a good cause.
Lucario said that he and Gio escaped to Kalos. That was actually where Hikaru was from, and where Arezu had caught her from the wild. She was glad that Gio had found Lucario and helped him. "I've never heard of Shadow Pokemon before," she stated, keeping her voice neutral despite the leading nature of what she said. She was curious, but didn't want to make Lucario go into detail about it if he didn't want to. "How does one purify a pokemon?" she asked.
It was also interesting. Arezu had never mentioned anything about Shadow Pokemon, and neither had Hakuren, Cecily, or Niji. Whoever the shadowy organization was that had an interest in the girl, it didn't sound like they were related to these Shadow Makers. Hikaru felt her emotions hardening into steel at the knowledge of there being so many bad people in the world. Even more than before, she really wanted to hit something with a solid punch. She started flexing her paws, and sensed that Lucario seemed to be on the same page. "This tunnel must open up to a larger space at some point," she said, thinking that if she was right then a cavern would be a good place to stretch their legs.
Something about the way Gio said he "Flooded Janine out" seemed overly casual. Was he being modest? Didn't really seem like a defining character trait of Gio's. Still, the more she heard the more impressed Arezu got. "You know, Gio, when we get out of-" she waved one hand nebulously at the ceiling, "-here, after you challenge the dojo, if you want to stick around, It'd be cool to battle." She felt like the phrasing was a bit weird, but at least she'd gotten the point across.
"Hey, ya have to have a heart and head of Steel if ya want to be good at Training Steel Types."
Arezu smirked, thinking of the pineco. And to keep from getting blown up while doing it."If you say so." She wondered if he had a point, though. He was obviously more experienced with steel-type pokemon. Arezu already knew how to work with Hikaru, but if she ever caught another steel type maybe she could put his thoughts to use.
"So, any thoughts of becoming Champion of a Region?"
Arezu shrugged, pushing her thumbs into her belt since her uniform didn't have pockets. "I guess? I want to go all the way to the top with my pokemon, and if aiming for the Champ is what does it then that's what I'll do." She liked the thrill of battle, of training and fighting together with her pokemon. The gyms provided the challenging battles she was looking for. "I don't really care about being a Champion. Though it might make it easier to find strong people to battle." She grinned at Gio. "They don't always just run into you out of nowhere, you know?"
