Jay chuckled. "No problem. Can't really say I blame ya, 'specially given this place's rather... unknown sorta vibe ta begin with, 'n all," he admitted as they continued walking. Speaking of, he was still trying to remain fairly in tune of his surroundings but it was tricky with this place. As much as he was trying to adapt, echoes were just not very consistent here, so there was simply nothing he could really adapt too in the first place. It made it tricky, but thankfully he had his pokemon around, and they seemed sufficient enough to lock onto that he, along with careful footing, he at least wasnt' tripping all over the place and making himself look like an idiot. He was a little aware that he might have been slowing them all down some, though, and starting trying to mull over possible solutions.
"Hm?" He pulled out of his thoughts when Felix admitted that, in addition, the place where he'd fallen asleep didn't really add to his enthusiasm towards exploring the more spooky locations in this place. Jay's eyebrows rose some as he took that in. "... Oh yeah? Where'd ya conk out, if'n ya don' mind me askin'?" he asked, trying to sound conversation, but admittedly, that was a little concerning to hear. He wasn't sure if this... place, this world or whatever, had any sphere of proximity -- if people that met up where in any degree close to each other in the real world -- but if Felix was going to be waking up in actual, possible danger, that was something that might be worth actually talking about and focusing on for a moment, here.
Jay turned his head some as he heard Glitch suddenly speak up, and his eyebrows rose some again as he eavesdropped on the conversation. He didn't know who -- he assumed it was "Daemon" or something like that, despite the stutter -- was, but he gathered it was a pokemon, and one that Glitch was able to communicate with. Interesting. "So does your porygon have contact with all yer pok'mon when their in their pok'balls, 'cause he's in the pokedex 'r somethin'?" he asked curiously. He knew his psychic pokemon had some connection with his pokemon, but he also knew it was generally limited to those he had with him-- it wasn't like they could contact the ones he had in the PC or anything, that he knew of.

It didn't bother Felix in the slightest that Jay's pace was on the slow side. Now that they were getting further away from the clearing the wild kangaskhan was snoozing in, moving quickly wasn't quite as important. Besides, if a slower pace was what it took for the ginger to walk without tripping over a tree root or get stabbed by a low-hanging branch, then that was fine. The two weren't in any particular rush to get anywhere from what he could tell. Felix would have also assumed that this being a dream would have also assured the other man's safety, but remembering what happened with the kangaskhan kind of broke that theory. After all, he was still pretty sore from his skarmory slamming into him, and then there was the matter of nearly drowning. For looking like such a nice, peaceful forest, it sure was dangerous.
The man's thoughts were already starting to turn gloomy and Jay asking about where he nodded off didn't help matters. It was probably a good thing the other trainer couldn't see the frown his question caused. "...Some abandoned hotel in Kalos. I don't know its actual name, just that people refer to it as the 'lost' hotel," he admitted after some hesitation. "I heard that rotom tend to hide there and was hoping to catch one." That... wasn't entirely a lie. He really had heard of rotom and honestly did think that one could be a handy and versatile addition to his odd collection. He just... had other things to do there, too. "Some other ghost must have snuck up on me and put me under while I was distracted or something," he suggested as he rubbed the back of his neck with his left hand. He kept his right hand in the pocket of his pants with his thumb hanging out. Probably a good thing since Glitch suddenly called out to him from his pokedex. It meant the trainer could quickly pull out the device and give the digital pokemon a new command before putting the pokedex back.
When Jay asked about Glitch being able to contact his pokemon through his pokedex, Felix smiled and let out a small chuckle. "Pretty much. It's actually pretty handy," he replied, not really all that bothered by the blind man eavesdropping on Glitch's comment. It was kinda inevitable due to the porygon having to use the dex's speaker to tell Felix anything and the digital pokemon knew better than to say anything too revealing when it was aware other people were around. "He's also able to make a few adjustments to my team if I'm unable to do so for some reason, assuming anything needed is already stored or held by a pokemon in their ball." Felix couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as he realized just how much work the porygon was able to do for him. "About the only thing he can't do from the pokedex is withdraw pokemon if I need a different team member for where I'm training. I need to actually access a PC for that." Hopefully that meant, even if the experience gained in this strange world disappeared if he woke up, that the real Glitch had used what he could to patch up the rest of his team. Not that he actually had many reviving items at the moment.
While the two trainers were conversing, Zelse hopped off Felix's head to get some more training in. It didn't matter to him whether this was a dream or not, he was tired of all this walking around and yakking. Right now the froakie was only interested in getting more powerful, and that was what he intended to do. He spotted a wild pokemon that was familiar to him - a chespin - and almost immediately sent a spray of bubbles at the grass type. The fellow starter pokemon let out a startled yelp as several of the bubbles struck him and curled up into a spiny ball to try and both defend himself from the attack and roll into the water type for a strong attack. The frog pokemon was hit but not too badly damaged, so he sent another barrage of bubbles at the chespin. This time it was enough to knock the grass type out of its attack and send it flying a short distance. Zelse let out a satisfied croak, then hopped back over to Felix to have the trainer treat his injuries.

I've kinda assumed for a while now that, when you're checking their status in the games, you're looking at your pokemon's information on a menu in either your pokedex or whatever the cell phone equivalent is in the games. Side note, one of the trees in my grandma's front yard had branches hanging at the level that I risked stabbing my eyes out walking down the walkway they hung over. It sucked.

Jay raised an eyebrow, just slightly, a natural reaction to his hitched curiosity at Felix's response. "Well ain't that original," he remarked with amusement, smiling some as he walked, his eyes still closed, "'N it looks like you found it, too. Maybe they oughta think about renamin' it or somethin'." There was a faint laugh to his voice, but it felt like a joke someone should really be groaning and rolling their eyes to. Especially considering the fact that he didn't exactly miss Felix's hesitation or more somber tone when he responded. Jay wasn't oblivious or even inconsiderate, in general, but humor was his go-to just about all the time, and unless it was really guaranteed to be a bad play, he was liable to take a swing at it whenever he could before switching tactics and taking on a more serious tune.
Still, he did sober up a bit as he listened, lapsing into a thoughtful silence for a moment. "Well, can't imagine a rotom'd be able to do much yer porygon can't already handle," he remarked with a light smile, "And I'm sure no matter what, yer pok'mon 'r prolly either already, or will be, protectin' you in the wakin' world, too. That said, maybe we can try 'n.... figger out some way to wake up or somethin'. Maybe we oughta try a drop? Since cold water didn' work." He offered a lightly humorous tone, though he knew it was a bit of a risk, given that the situation before hadn't perhaps been all that funny, to Felix. It hadn't been to Jay, either, but he was personally the type to laugh at past misfortunes (most of the time). Or at least, he liked to think himself as the type.
He listened with interest as Felix further explained about Glitch's capabilities, though his expression remained fairly passive. Honestly, that was kind of astonishing. And here he thought Mimey and Ralward were a big help-- but having someone that could do all that? Gosh, that might be enough to spoil him. Then he'd really be inclined to just lean back and let his pokemon take care of things. He wasn't sure he could even really call himself a trainer, at that point. Heck, it was questionable whether he could even call himself one now, given how rarely he actually trained his own pokemon, but... that wasn't a discussion he was going to have to have with anyone any time soon, thankfully.
"Well that's impressive. 'N I ain't ever heard've encounterin' porygon in the wild, neither. Where'd you encounter each other, if'n ya don' mind me askin'?" he queried, just out of curiosity. Totally not out of lazy inclinations or anything. He turned his head as some of the rustling he heard got closer, and seemed to come from higher up than he expected. Not even on the ground, just... on one of the trees maybe? "Annie, y'mind lookin' into that?" he asked. It was a little ways off from where they were walking, but, not more than maybe ten feet. He continued walking some, but slowed as it sounded like the pokemon attacked, and he reached back for a pokeball before slipping a bit closer. "What was it?" he called, though even as he did, he reached back for his pokedex.
"Some sorta plant pokemon, Jay," Annie replied, crawling back and wiggling out from under a bush to look up at his trainer, Jay stepped over him, and the bush, clicking to try and find the unconscious pokemon, and sweeping his pokedex out. Once he did, he identified it-- definitely not one he caught before. "Hey, Chespin--" He waited until the pokemon came over, and it looked skeptically up at him when he held an empty pokeball out to him. "Mind tossin' this at the 'morelull' fer me? Since you seemed so keen on that earlier," he teased. The pokemon gave him a withering look, but did so, missing the first time, but after an urging chirp, succeeding once Jay had handed him a second. He retrieved the pokeball, boastfully handing it over, and flashing a proud smirk at the other pokemon, who gave a degree of unimpressed and blank expressions, much to his dismay.
Jay smiled and tucked the new pokemon away, stashing his pokedex as well as he returned to Felix. "Sorry 'bout that. Still tryin' ta test somethin' while we're here," he apologized, "Though that said, don' s'pose you've got any further insight on where we ought to go? I'm startin' to wonder if we'd be better off headin' back ta the tree, myself, or seein' if we can find somewhere high so you, at least, can get a good aerial 'view'." He was smiling, almost comically, as he said this, as if there was a joke in there that no one else was really meant to get.

While Naomi waited for the woman to come back from her own world, if she ever would, his attention slowly began to drift away from her. Rather than taking in their environment, despite its beauty, he found himself caught on the many pokemon, and one woman, around her. He focused in on the latter, rather puzzled as he stared at the woman. Though, the befuddlement lay in himself. How hadn't he noticed her until just now? While true, the white-haired woman was closer, so he'd seen and flagged her down first, the other's appearance was more eye-catching, and remnant of his own. She reminded him of a geisha, with her sakura flower and crane adorned kimono, not to mention the way her hairstyle! A traditional shimada mage, he hadn't seen that in a while! Honestly, all she was missing was oshirio makeup. So caught up in her appearance, Naomi didn't realize he was staring until after several, most likely uncomfortable, seconds had passed. He quickly alleviated the situation, averting his eyes from the woman and offering her a silent wave; she hadn't spoken in all this time, so he assumed she was the silent-sort.
Before Naomi could start an assessment (read: stare down) of the woman's pokemon, his attention was called back to her when she finally spoke. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Eline." He gave a shallow bow in her direction, and within those few miliseconds he flashed a smile; now they were getting somewhere. Presumably! Not to mention, he sort of liked the nickname Eline had stuck onto him. He certainly wasn't as courageous as any samurai, but it was nice, nonetheless. Whatever pleasantness that had been laid away with her introduction was quickly bulldozed away when Eline mentioned that, before finding herself here, she'd been attacked. "Are you alright?!" Naomi blurted out, the concern clear in his voice. "Or, rather, is... your body alright?" Even with the correction of his question, he still didn't feel that was the right thing to ask. After all, if she was dreaming (and real) how would she know whether or not her physical form was fine?
"Perhaps you should find a way to wake up, and quickly at that," he eventually suggested, foregoing any further questions; it wasn't going to help matters. Not that giving a suggestion would. But, maybe offering assistance would? "If, you would like," Naomi began, eyes flittering from Eline's pokemon even as he spoke. "I could help you find a way to wake up." It was better than wandering the forest, as pleasant as it was, and far more productive too. He still wasn't entirely convinced this wasn't just a dream of his, but he was capable of 'going with the flow'. And, as proof of this, he didn't even flinch when a washing machine with a face came flying over, addressing Eline; though, he did stare at it, long and hard. It was only when the home appliance revealed itself to be a Rotom did he tear his gaze away, and back to the woman. "I suppose not!" he agreed, and out of habit he rubbed his hands over Ieyasu's back. "You certainly have a lot of pokemon, Eline."
Speaking of pokemon, where were his? Considering that he'd now become stationary, and there were several more friendly pokemon about, he didn't need his to continue patrolling the area. He'd have to call them back. But, to do so, he needed to know where they were. Hm. After some consideration, Naomi released Empress Jingū, assigning her the important task of finding Tomoe, Moriyoshi, and Rotom. The grass-type perked up at the word 'important', and, with a trill and a quick spin, she dashed off in the direction Mori and Rotom had gone. She took a less conventional route, however, skipping through the underbrush rather than walking through a clearer path. So, it came to no surprise when, woken up by her thoughtless actions, a grumpy Turtwig slammed itself into her leg as she passed by. Jingū, off balance, stumbled to her left, and puffed out her cheeks as she caught herself. Twisting on the balls of her feet, she immediately unearthed a bright bright beam of light at the turtle, catching it on its side and sending it onto its back, where it churned its legs angrily in the air in a mad attempt to sit upright.
Jingū huffed at the creature, before stomping away and brushing herself off, figuring that their dispute had been settled. It had not. A flurry of leaves from behind knocked the Steenee off her feet and onto the ground, face first, and as she began to gather herself up she heard a soft snickering. Underneath the dirt and grass, her face began to turn a dark shade of red, and before Turtwig could continue its assault Jingū snapped herself around. Needing only just a second to pinpoint the jerk, she lunged forward to slam her foot directly into the turtle's face. This time, when it went down, it didn't get back. Jingū made sure of it, as she stared the unconscious pokemon down for a full minute.
"Jingū?" She turned around at the sound of a familiar voice, before breaking out into a smile at the approach of Moriyoshi and Rotom. "Oh, there you two are!" she exclaimed, leaving the twitching form of the Turtwig behind as she skipped over to the two. "Here we are," Rotom remarked, in a slightly less monotone than usual. "Are... you alright?" Mori inquired, taking in Jingū's dirty face and labored breathing with caution. "Mhm! Peachy keen!" she insisted, before patting both of her teammates' heads (a rather difficult task, when it came to Rotom). "Now, come on! Naomi wanted you two to come back!" Jingū didn't give either a chance to rebut, turning back and skipping away, leaving the two to follow after her.
Despite her injuries, Jingū was rather proud of herself, and, upon their return, stayed only long enough to receive a bit of healing from Naomi before heading out again, this time to locate Tomoe. Mori watched her go, but, with his injuries, was forced to lay down so that Naomi could spray him down with a few potions. Rotom, in the meantime, scanned over the group their trainer had associated themselves with, made up of pokemon and humans. "I see you've made a few new friends," he commented, gaze passing over the other Rotom once more. It'd been a while since he'd seen another 'Dex.
Not that it was a big deal, or anything. He knew he wasn't necessarily 'unique'.

While Eline's brain fluttered on about her current circumstance, Lithium found she was holding much of the young male's attention. She pretended not to notice him staring for a moment, before turning her gaze over towards him. He offered a small wave, to which Lithium gave a grin as he brought her pipe up to her lips. After a momentary drag, of the fake pipe she issued the flick of her hair that brought Eline out back to the world... well, for the most part. The two-tone haired woman quickly realized her mishap and introduced herself. She offered smile to Naomi's concern, raising a hand to her chin to ponder his question. "Well, as much as I know I am fine. Though the circumstance of my slumber is not quite so simple as making myself wake up." She voiced. "It was merely a sleeping gas that knocked me out, along with some companions I had only met the night before." She continued. What they'd done with her body was certainly a question to ponder. Had they brought her back to Aether? Had they tossed her into the ocean? Was this truly a dream or was she in limbo? Well, her thoughts would of quickly went fairly dark if not for Naomi's continued use of his voice. She gave a nod. "Thanks, but I'm not entirely concerned about waking up. How often does one get to truly experience a dream?" To have control over ones own body. As of yet nothing entirely unpredictable had happened... wild Pokemon attacks aside.
It was then Neon made his appearance known, quickly asking about Naomi and his companion. Eline mentioned that they were not alone in this world, to which Naomi agreed. 'Ni-i-ice-ce to me-e-eet you-u' Neon greeted. The ghost then seemingly lost interest and went back to his own devices, literally. Eline nodded a few times, gazing over to where a good chunk of her Pokemon rested. "I do, don't I. When it comes to collecting Pokemon I tend to ask them upon capture if they would wish to join me." Eline explained. "These are the ones who agreed to follow me. Well, some of them." Sending her gaze back to Naomi she smiled at the Eevee in his possession. "I don't see many Eevee in Alola, they are very cute Pokemon, very popular I hear in other regions due to their many different evolution." To have one on her team as well would be nice, but the idea of 'one and done' evolution was to big of a con. She like Fluorine's species for it's unique ability to molt and grow new feathers depending on the abundance of nectar they drink.
Naomi then released another of this Pokemon, this one Eline knew all to well. Grass-types were a favored type of hers. He issued her a task, rather asking her to find his other Pokemon who apparently were still in the forest. This made Eline pondered about her own out-and-about Pokemon, namely; Nobelium and Fluorine. There was really no need in finding the boarder of these woods if they were never going to end. To which she figured it might be okay to send someone else to call them back. Calling over Niobium, she asked the blue bat to fly to the other side of the lake and try using her echolocation to find Nobelium and Fluorine. Much like Naomi's Steenee, the Swoobat was happy to assist and quickly flew off.
Not long after Niobium flew beyond the treeline, did Naomi's Steenee return, triumphant for the most part in finding some of Naomi's Pokemon. She'd seemingly ended up in a battle, which made Eline wonder why they hadn't been attacked in some time. Had they finally secured a border around the lake? Curious. Even still, it was quiet a surprise when A Torracat appeared along with another Rotom. Neon jolted back to the group jittering about speaking nothing coherent. Sulfur for the most part hadn't really noticed the fellow Torracat, finding the sun much more to his liking.

Although it sounded a bit tired - probably more from how uncomfortable the conversation topic was than anything else - Felix still couldn't help but let out a chuckle at Jay's response. "Yes, maybe they should call it the 'Found' Hotel from now on," he joked back, something that would have probably made any of his regular contacts let out a loud, frustrated groan. Sure, it was probably in bad taste to joke about the fact that he passed out in some haunted, delapidated hotel and that his life was probably in danger, but... What else could he do about it while he was stuck dreaming? The only other thing to do would be just give up, but wasn't that kind of what he was doing already? Just accepting the fact that he was stuck in some dream and not going to wake up at any point in the near future, if at all? Even if they were terrible, the jokes helped keep him from dwelling too badly on those depressing thoughts.
A minor change in the conversation helped keep his emotions from getting the better of him, too, so when Jay tacked on a few more serious and optimistic comments about Felix's likely situation, the trainer nodded in agreement even if ginger couldn't see it. Until he mentioned dropping Felix to wake him up. The trainer suddenly stopped and made an odd noise as he vividly recalled plummeting out of the sky and down into Santalune Forest after Talon was shot out of the sky by a couple powerful flamethrowers. "I... Um..." For a moment it was hard for Felix to actually say anything. "...I don't think that's a good idea," he finally managed to force out once he got over the shock of that sudden recollection. "With my luck I'll hit the ground and still be here to feel it." That wasn't how it usually worked for people, but since being stuck under his skarmory and starting to drown in a pond had not only failed to wake him up, but also felt far more real than it should, Felix did not want to willingly repeat that terrifying drop so soon.
After Glitch provided a welcome distraction from the topic at hand, Jay ended up asking about where the two had met up. "Gosh, that was years ago... Goldenrod, wasn't it?" Once again Felix pulled out the old pokedex that his porygon preferred to hang out in. Actually, Glitch just preferred to stay outside of his pokeball in general, it was just convenient for him to ride along in some sort of computer-like device and it just so happened that the pokedex had a few extra capabilities that the digital pokemon could take advantage of. Like a louder speaker than the phone offered. "Confir-irmed. As of las-as-as-as-ast known calander dat-t-t-te, my previous owner ga-ave me to Felix twel-el-elve years and one-one-one-one hundred se-eh-eh-eventy-fi-ive days ago in Gol-ol-oldenrod City," the stuttering porygon clarified for Jay. That... was a lot longer than Felix had originally realized. Even Zelse leaned over and stared at Felix from his perch on the trainer's head after hearing how long the man had his porygon. At least some sort of wild pokemon distracted Jay from asking more questions briefly, which gave Felix a moment to pick the froakie up off his head and carry him so that the frog pokemon's face wasn't blocking his view. It was only a moment though, since Zelse quickly squirmed out of his hold and hopped to the ground, obviously not wanting to be held but getting the messsage that his trainer didn't want him riding his head at the moment.
Although he was prepared to wave off the other trainer's apology, Felix raised an eyebrow when Jay said something about testing something. "Oh yeah? Wanting to see if those pokemon stick with you when you wake up?" he guessed aloud, then chuckled. "To be fair I was kinda wondering that with all those berries we picked. At least if they do disappear you know what to look for now." That probably wasn't much of a consolation prize, but it would be better than nothing. Assuming either of them even remembered anything about this dream adventure when they woke up. If they woke up. Those thoughts didn't get much of a chance to take root since Jay was asking about where they should go next. Felix even gave a single, quiet chuckle when the ginger suggested that at least one of them could get a good view of the area, somewhat realizing the jab at Jay's blindness. "Sounds like a plan. Talon could really help give me a bird's eye view once we've got more room above us." Felix suddenly realized that Jay probably had no idea who Talon was, or at least might not have a pokemon to put with the name. "That's the skarmory you heard earlier, by the way," he clarified as the duo continued on. Felix was pretty sure they were heading the way back to the grassy hill with the giant tree, but did it really matter in a dream? They could have probably walked in a random direction and still ended up at their intended destination. Felix wasn't keen on intentionally testing that theory at the moment, though, and just stuck to the path.

Jay gave a low, amused chuckle, bad as the joke was. Honestly, bad humor tickled sense of humor just as good as a clever joke, especially when someone could not only tolerate his own bad jokes, but spin them into more. How anyone ever tolerated his bad sense of humor for so long was astounding-- it was really no wonder he'd never been in a relationship. His parents and sister alone had to be praised for their patience with his rim shots. "Or at least, 'Stumble Upon Hotel'. It sure ain't lost, if you were able to find it so easily," he agreed, letting the jokes slip down to a more casual conversation. Some of what Felix had mentioned before had him thinking, and after a beat, he added, "Say, Felix, if'n ya don' mind me askin', what d'you do, as a trainer? I mean, if anythin'. I know some people try contests, 'n some are out ta catch everythin'. Some wanna be the best there ever was or... whatever. Champion of some region. What about you?" It might have been a bit of a prodding question, but it could at least explain why the guy was wandering into creepy hotels to catch pokemon-- it seemed like something any collector or pokedex achiever would possibly risk.
Jay's eyebrow arched when he heard Felix's footsteps stumble to an abrupt stop, but before he could try and decipher the man made, he spoke up. Sort of. Jay's expression turned more questioning, though evidently, he decided against speaking up over the strong response. Maybe the guy was just afraid of heights. "Fair, though, didn' say I wouldn' volunteer to go first. With my luck I'd prolly end up walkin' off the cliff anyway without even noticin' it," he joked in turn, once more trying to twist the conversation to a lighter tone. Humor, his go to for everything, self deprecating or otherwise. And besides, that wasn't exactly anywhere close to the truth, either-- he could typically pick up on those kinds of drops from the echoes he got, not to mention his usual caution walking around. Echoes really... opened up around a cliffs edge.
"Arceus, that's quite a while," Jay remarked with a low whistle, "Over a decade? Impressive." He went quiet a moment, pondering something. There was one thing that being blind really, really gave a drawback to, and while voices sometimes gave some general insight, they could also be very misleading on this. "Say... how old're you, Felix? Just realized, I ain't got a clue," he remarked, before grinning cheekily, "'N to seem a li'l less nosey, I'm twenty-three, myself." He'd been told, many times, by his sister and mom, that that question was just rude when it came to the ladies, but honestly, he felt that was kind of bull. Even so, he recognized that it could be rude in general, or at the very least, you never knew what people might take offense to, and he couldn't exactly see a punch or a slap coming-- she he decided it might be better to play it safe and return the favor, even if he had a feeling Felix might have an upper hand on guessing his age if he'd wanted.
Jay hummed a bit to Felix's guess on what all he was testing. "Kinda, sorta. Seein' if it registers in my pokedex and provides quality information for them professors 'n such, mostly, but... yeah. Won't hurt to see if they stick around when I wake up, too, if I don' get ta trainin' them all as much as I want while I'm here," he confirmed. He lapsed into thoughtful silence for a moment, a stitch between his brow as he took the chance to listen to the forest. Sounded like it was thinning out a bit. "Mm... Yeah that'll be good to know, too. S'weird, if it does, right? I mean... dream stuff fallin' into the real world, 'n all. Guess, then again, we might be real things fallin' into this dream world, so, s'pose there's no reason it couldn't go both ways," he mused. Still, for some weird reason, pokemon made more sense to stick around than items. But if he was wrong, that was just another nice plus-- it would have been a bit of a blow to do all that work with picking those berries, only to lose them all upon waking.
Before Jay could get out a question on who Talon was, Felix was clarifying, and Jay smiled a bit at the man's intuition. He was a pretty good conversationalist, and as far as people to be stuck in an imaginary forest in some dream world with, Jay felt pretty lucky. The guy wasn't a bully, or a punk, a grump or sarcastic, and he was pretty considerate and lenient with the humor and conversation topics. "Good idear. Some've my flyin' pokemon may be able to assist, too. Though, I ain't too sure what all we're supposed to be doin' here, y'know? Are we just stuck, or is this some sorta thing we gotta work our way through? Or are we just supposed ta wander till we wake?" he thought aloud, carefully sweeping his feet to avoid a tree root and tilting his head to listen as he clicked his tongue. Yeah... he might not have been able to literally see ahead, but the sounds were shifting. They were definitely nearing different terrain.

"Not sure how it works really? I guess wherever we end up next?"
Arezu chuckled. "I don't get how they work either, but they're easy to use. Just blow and think of what you want, and the flute does the rest." She had used the flutes before, and if they'd been able to pick out the unown she needed when all 28 different kinds were floating around, it shouldn't be too hard for Gio to get what he wanted. "I don't really know how it'll work in this weird dream place though." If the pokemon he was looking for wasn't anywhere near, would the world just...dream one up for him?
Well, if Gio's flute didn't work, Arezu could always give him the one she'd found. It could be useful at some point, but she doubted she'd be doing anything like catching all those unown again and she didn't need any more pokemon. The only reason she had so many right now was because of Niji and his entourage. Which, yes, she did love all of them, but she felt responsible for all of them and was unwilling to just put them in the PC. After all, if Arezu ended up with too many pokemon, what if she didn't give one of them enough attention and they...well, for example, picked her up and flew off with her.
"Um." Arezu watched the retreating form of Gio and Skarmory, flying into the distance.
"You certainly have your work cut out for you, keeping an eye on him," Hikaru said to Lucario. With a quick glance at Arezu, she kicked off the ground, following Lucario through the air. Arezu started to return her pokemon, but paused, struck with an idea.

"Awooooooo~!" Shiisa howled into the wind, legs pumping underneath her as she flew. Her little brothers Skittles and Kit clung her her mane, eyes wide with delight. Niji, Flurry, Sham, and Arezu all flew around them, like a mini air-squadron.
When they reached the forest, Arezu followed Hikaru down to the ground while the others continued past overhead. "Have you ever gone anywhere without crashing into something first?" Arezu joked as she touched down on the ground; Hikaru, who had already landed, gave her a hand. "I guess I'm glad you didn't blow up this time." That hopefully meant that Cerroband was okay.
Trusting that Hikaru would let her know if anything happened to her pokemon flying above the forest, Arezu focused on their new surroundings. Already she felt at ease, compared to being a bit on edge in that cold cave. A deep breath brought with it scents of fresh bark and just a hint of sweetness that reminded her of the berries she used to have with Hakuren and Cecily. It made her smile- this was the kind of place she would dream about.
"So, Gio, did you want to try using the flute here?" Given that most of the pokemon he had that she'd seen were steel types, she thought he could definitely benefit to pick up the kind of pokemon you could find in a forest.
Flying in the distance towards where Lucario could see his Trainers Aura. He assumed by the sudden shift Gio had hit the ground with some minor force. The next thing he knew Skarmory's Aura disappeared and he realized that his Trainers narrow-minded response was to put the Flying Type back in it's Ball instead of playing. He looked over his shoulder towards Hikaru, still flying through the air, "You have no idea" Lucario said to the other flying Pokemon.

Gio watched as Hikaru, Arezu, her air-squadron and his Lucario all landed perfectly fine. Apparently they got the memo you can fly still Gio thought. "Have you ever gone anywhere without crashing into something first?" Arezu joked as she had landed. "I guess I'm glad you didn't blow up this time." That reminded him of Cerroband and he immediately checked the sling. The little Pokemon was sound asleep apparently. "I'll never know how she always sleeps through stuff like that," Gio spoke as he raised an empty hand to his chin and thought for a second "But I guess I just know how to make a impactful entrance" he gave a half cocked grin at his humor.
"Sorry about her she gets abit feisty some times" he apologized for his negligence as if trying to explain it wasn't his fault. He knew that they were in a forest and it seemed kinda like the rest of the Dream World. Peaceful but always watching. He felt like there was cameras everywhere. Arezu let her Pokemon fly around the Forest and she suggested he try and use the flute here. Good idea, he pulled out the flute and tried to remember how she said to use it. Think of what he wanted. That was the problem though he couldn't really think of anything. All he could think of was a Pokemon that could help him beat Chuck and maybe help take care of all these young Pokemon he had been getting lately. Also definitely rare. He pulled out the Black Flute and blew into it. He had never played any instruments before so it sounded pretty atrocious.
A wild Pokemon jumped from the trees it was white with what like purple poncho. It was holding a leaf shaped like a fan in one of it's hands."I've never seen a Pokemon like this before." Lucario jumped poised ready for battle.

Before Lucario coul even react Gio had pulled a Master Ball from his bag and tossed it at the Pokemon. He, obviously, caught it and ran up to the ball full of excitement. "Did you see that?" he asked Arezu, "Who woulda thought there were rare legendary Pokemon in this dream world." he hoped that when they left he would be able to keep it.
Lucario was surprised it seemed like a waste of a good ball and a good chance to train. He crossed his arms and walked away. More of a pout but he couldn't be angry if Gio didn't want to battle.

"Holy ********> Arezu mumbled as a giant gorilla lumbered into view. Lucario looked ready for a fight, but Gio just tossed a- Is that a ******** master ball?!? Hikaru snorted at Lucario's reaction.
"That's not-" Arezu paused. Pulled out her pokedex, looked at it for a moment, nodded to herself, put it away. "Yeah, Gio, that isn't a legendary pokemon. It's just....big."
"Well, now that we're here, let's look around." This forest was making her feel fiercely nostalgic- she kept being surprised at how she could see the sky, expecting the trees to tower over them like the ones in the forest she was remembering. It was one of the few memories from out beyond a year ago that she thought was genuine. And even if it wasn't, it was one she, Hakuren, and Cecily shared. Speaking of, Arezu released the two from their pokeballs- they'd enjoy this.
Too late, Arezu remembered she'd been trying to keep Cecily disguised around other people. Well. Somehow she felt like it was okay for Gio to know. This way he could meet a real legend, she thought to herself, lips quirked into a smirk.
"This place is lovely!" Cecily's psychic voice chirruped. The little pink celebi twirled into the air, closing her eyes and sniffing deep. "Oh!" Her eyes snapped open, settling on Gio. "And this is your new friend. Hello! I'm Cecily!" She fluttered around him and then zipped into the treetops before coasting back down to them.
Hakuren, meanwhile, was a bit behind Arezu's legs. "Looks like a weirdo," he commented.
"Right. So, these are Cecily and Hakuren. Guys, this is Gio and Lucario."
"Anyways, you guys want to explore some?" She glanced down at her feet, only for the image of Hakuren to fade. "Yep!" The sneaky little s**t piped up from across the clearing, having illusioned himself to sneak away at some point. With a cheeky grin he did a little hop before leaping into the branches. Cecily zipped after him, and they raced through the treetops, away from the group on the ground.
Arezu sighed. She hadn't exactly expected Hakuren to stick around much while she was with Gio, but for him to completely abandon her to goof off with Cecily... Hikaru placed a comforting paw on her shoulder. "Just think," came the familiar mind-voice, this time tailored so only Arezu could hear, "Do you really want to be privy to what those two might get up to?" That- that was a good point, actually. Caught between feeling left out and relieved, Arezu decided to snort. "Those two aren't subtle at all, are they?"
It probably wasn't polite to hold a private conversation while Gio and Lucario were standing around, so she left it at that. "Well. That was them, I guess." There was definitely some way to make a joke about this, but she wasn't really sure how. "Do you want to-""Hey, Zuzu!" Hakuren's voice called out from the canopy. "We found a ton of berries!" Arezu's eyes lit up; she met Gio's. then jogged towards the noises her pokemon were making.
Little red berries plinked off the mossy ground in ones and twos, cast off as a certain zorua carelessly stuffed his face up above. It was beyond weird that the berries were up in the tree and not in bushes on the ground. Arezu craned her neck to see the branches, covered in leaves, looking surprisingly cozy. As she watched the leaves rustled, and more little red pellets flew downward. "He's going to make himself sick," she commented. She plucked a berry from the ground and popped it into her mouth. She hummed appreciatively, picked up a few more, and held her hand out to Gio to try.
"Yeah Gio that isn't a legendary Pokemon. It's just....big." what did she mean? It had to be Gio thought unless, "Haha that's funny, next you'll tell me you find it on some lost island" he said sarcastically not believing her. He threw out the Master Ball letting the white monkey Pokemon out "Guuuuru" she yelled as if trying to ask "What the hell" she waddled over to Gio and lifted him up by the collar of his shirt. Cerrobend started to cry a little "Hey look what your doing, it's gonna be forever before she quits crying again." The Oranguru reached out her other arm and removed the sling from Giovanni. She let go of Gio's shirt and he fell back to the ground. It took him a moment but he realized that Cerrobend had quit crying. He tried to peak over the Oranguru's shoulder but she turned and stuck out her arm preventing him from seeing. "Hey you can't just take a baby like that" With her outstretched arm she flicked Gio and he fell over. He crossed his arms and pouted "Fine you raise her then"
Lucario was still in disbelief that his Trainer could waste a Poke Ball, ment to catching anything without fail, on a Pokemon he thought was legendary. He saw the Aura of the "legendary" Pokemon take the baby Pokemon Gio had been carrying around and push Gio to the side. He broke character and gave off a smirk. Seemed like this Pokemon wasn't half bad at all.
Gio brought his attention back to Arezu who wanted to look around now that they were here in this forest. He actually took a moment to take in the sights. Who knew what they find. The only real Forest Gio had ever been in was Johto's Ilex Forest with Aiden, October and Fey. He missed them, but they seemed to have just disappeared after the Tatabanya. He really missed Kiru, that little guy might have been annoying to Lucario, but he knew deep down that the Pichu was able to help keep Lucario in check. Plus it was nice to see Lucario "have a little bro".
Arezu let two Pokemon out of their respective balls one was a shiny Celebi And the other was a Zorua. Gio's eyes locked in on the Celebi though. He knew exactly what kind of Pokemon this was. He had even met one once but that was back when he was with Team Snaggem. Celebi was the key to being able to purify shadow Pokemon. He started to reach for the Pokeballs that contained the two Charmanders he reclaimed back from them in Kanto, but decided it best not since that would be abit awkward to explain. They met eyes and she fluttered around him. "And this is your new friend. Hello! I'm Cecily!" Gio was abit star struck "Yo-you are the Guardian of the forest"

"Right. So, these are Cecily and Hakuren. Guys, this is Gio and Lucario." she introduced Gio who was still a little shocked at the sight of the Onion Fairy. They both seemed to run off though and Arezu seemed just as surprised by it. "Well. That was them, I guess."Gio laughed at the two Pokemon and their expertise on distractions "and their off!" He chuckled before looking over towards his Oranguru, maybe she was right. Perhaps it wasn't a legendary now that he had time to see another legendary Pokemon or Mythical one actually. "Do you want to-" she was cut off by a familiar voice in the distance. "Hey, Zuzu" it came from up top in a tree. "We found a ton of berries!" Arezu's eyes lit up and met Gio's she started to jog over and Gio followed suit
Once again Lucario noticed two other Auras just appear out of no where. He figured Arezu had let more Pokemon out. One he could tell was a legendary Pokemon for sure just by the energy that was pouring out of it. The other one while successfully fooling both of the humans almost made him think there was two of the exact same Pokemon with very similar Auras. It wasn't until he focused a littler harder that he realized one was just a fake. It was actually about the same time that the little Zorua revealed his trick and this made Lucario wonder if he had really been duped the whole time.
Lucario took a moment breathe in the fresh air for the peaceful moment he had. Fortunately though it seemed there was food to be discovered. His stomach started to growl. He hadn't eaten since breakfast and who knew when that was. He followed Gio's steps keeping a close pace.
The Zorua, Hakuren, was stuffing his face full of berries. So much so that a bunch were missing his mouth and landing on the ground in bunches. Gio didn't really know anything about where berries and fruits grew so he had no idea they were not supposed to grow in trees. "He's going to make himself sick," Aerzu commented before reaching down and taking a berry off the ground. Popping it in her mouth, she hummed before picking up a few more and reaching her hand out to Gio to try. Lucario peeked over his shoulder and sniffed.
Gio reached out a selected one and did what they were ment for and ate it. "Wow, that tastes just as good as anything" he was surprised that in the Dream World it was almost like the real world. There was food to eat and Pokemon to battle. Just the same as there was items to be found and Pokemon to be caught. "I guess this Dream World has it all then, huh?" he asked Arezu.
Lucario reached down and picked up some berries. He ate one before thinking, if it was the human thing to share with their own kind perhaps he should do the same. He reached out a paw with some berries in them towards Hikaru, a little embarrassed with himself he hadn't already. "I suppose you might be hungry as well?" was sharing something Pokemon did naturally or did they pick it up from Humans. It was considered "cute" when he shared with Kiru, but he didn't see how it made you stronger. If you can't fend for yourself and you rely on others to help you then I guess sharing makes sense, he thought. It seemed like a strange paradox to him.

Arezu watched Gio's face as he ate the berry. His eyes light up at the taste, and she found herself grinning. "Wow, that tastes just as good as anything," he said. She popped another one in her mouth before responding. "Probably tastes even better when it hasn't rolled around on the ground." It was fun to get to share this kind of thing with someone else.
"I guess this Dream World has it all then, huh?" Gio asked. "Yeah, it kind of does. Wish we'd ran into each other sooner," she joked, because they'd literally ran into each other to end up here. "Though...there are places like this when we're awake." The closest analogue required a Celebi and going thousands of years into the past, sure, but she wasn't wrong. "I think... a lot of people don't really appreciate forests like this," she mused, voicing a thought that had just occurred to her. "You know, in the real world. Seems sad, for some reason." It wasn't like she wanted everyone to just take to the trees or anything, because then it would be way too crowded. But she couldn't imagine living in the human cities and suburbs.
Hikaru watched her trainer's aura with interest, before she was distracted by Lucario offering berries to share. "Thank you." Surprised, but pleasantly so, she took the offered berries and put one in her mouth. The skin broke with a p***k from one of her canines, flooding her mouth with a sweet juice. "These are quite good," she commented, having another one. She didn't have a big sweet tooth, but she enjoyed the experience all the same. "I certainly never expected to be doing something like this today," she commented. "I suppose I'm glad our humans ran into each other, too." She just hoped they wouldn't be waking up with cracked heads. Well, Gio certainly wouldn't, if his head was anywhere near as thick as she suspected.
Arezu mentioned that the berries probably tasted better if they had rolled around on the ground. It was true but he wouldn't know. Gio gave a grin "Hey the ground is what gives it flavor don't cha know"
He looked over as his new found Oranguru, who was now acting as the caregiver for Cerrobend, had come over and started eating berries as well. She was also feeding some to the little Pineco who seemed to be awake and not crying for once. Maybe he was kind of a bad Trainer to the baby. They were definitely happy with each other though and that made Gio happy. Plus, he didn't have to wear that sling anymore and his neck was already feeling better from that.
He mentioned that this place had it all and Arezu responded by saying that she wished they had ran into each other sooner. Rather than literally? Sure he could admit that. "Hey that's all on my Lucario over there" he shot a thumb over his shoulder pointing at the Steel Type, "He's the one who decided to start going all ninja and running through the streets. Guess he just felt something in his bones" Really he didn't know, he pretty much assumed that Lucario was just itching for a fight at the Gym.
Lucario felt the berries being plucked from his hand. Hikaru thanked him sounding a little surprised. He nodded, as she continued on by explaining she had never planned on doing anything like this today. But, also that she was glad that their Trainers had ran into each other. He laughed "This is pretty much business as usual for my human" he looked down as he spoke. "Although, it is nice to not have to deal with the real world for a day" it was him admitting that Gio was right about taking a break would be relaxing. It was also him trying to avoid repeating what she had said. He felt the same, it was definitely a nice little adventure. All thanks to a simple accident really.
Gio plucked another berry off the ground and ate it. "So where to from here?" he tucked both hands behind his head as he recovered his posture. A Humongous tree, a deep cave exploration and ending up deep in a forest. All three made for a pretty solid adventure individually, but the fact they were able to cross off all three in one day made him excited for whatever was next.

"Hey the ground is what gives it flavor don't cha know." Gio grinned as he said it, and Arezu thought it made him look cheeky. It was such a Gio thing to say. Glancing at the ground, largely covered in a springy green moss, she couldn't even say for sure he was wrong. For all she knew, in this dream world the ground tasted like ice cream.
Before she actually considered picking up a piece of moss and popping it in her mouth to mess with Gio, she instead turned her attention to Gio's new 'legendary' pokemon. "Well, I'm glad someone around here knows how to treat the little firecracker." Maybe Gio had more of an eye for pokemon than she thought. Or he just had great luck, accidentally catching a pokemon that could help him with his little pineco. Either way, she nodded approvingly to Oranguru- "Just so you know she can blow up if jostled. Probably wont be an issue since I'm guessing you aren't planning on throwing her at anyone." She looked pointedly at Gio.
It was a surprise to Arezu to learn that Gio had actually been following Lucario when they ran into each other. "Really? Weren't you just wanting to challenge the dojo?" she asked, voicing the same assumption Gio had. She looked between Gio and Lucario, and then to Hikaru who shrugged. Hikaru figured that was the case- she already knew Lucario enjoyed fighting, so she assumed he had been eager to test himself against the pokemon at the dojo. She did wonder, though, if he had sensed her. She glanced at him, curious, but didn't ask.
"This is pretty much business as usual for my human," Lucario said, making a Hikaru's aura pulse briefly with amusement. "Although, it is nice to not have to deal with the real world for a day."
Hikaru, about to make a joke about Gio, instead nodded in agreement. "I do hope we are not just lying in the street though." She imagined that someone in the dojo would have noticed and hopefully brought them inside. She didn't like the idea of being so vulnerable, in case any of the people chasing Arezu had found them. Best to just trust that Ani or someone else had dragged them safely inside. "I also hope your trainer does not make a habit of taking naps in the street." She watched as he picked another berry off the ground. "...or eating things off of it."
Arezu chuckled as Gio ate another berry, and glanced at the forest around them. "I'm fine with just walking around more, I guess. Might find something interesting. It's pretty different from the forest outside Saffron." She wondered if this place had any treehouses. If it did, they'd probably be much better than the one she'd somehow managed to cobble together with her pokemon's help.
As they walked through the forest, the trees grew steadily taller, the light growing a bit dimmer as the canopy thickened. And then, it was as if the world had heard Arezu's thoughts, because an absolutely massive tree rose in front of them, with multiple houses built into the sides, wooden pathways spiraling around the trunk to each one all the way up. From their spot on the ground, there was a golden light visible, coming from something on the top.
Arezu turned to Gio, eyes alight. She didn't say anything, but it was clear she was excited to check it out. Hey, who knew- maybe that golden light up top was coming from an actual legendary pokemon? And she wondered what those treehouses looked like up close.

Not because they were offensive or anything, but instead because they were definitely true. It made him feel worse about just letting the Oranguru take over his Pokemon "Just so you know she can blow up if jostled. Gio picked himself up and shot his hands in pocket while kicking the ground. "Tsk, what do you want me to say? All things considered are you not having fun?" he shot a quizzical smile look towards Arezu's direction.
He wasn't terribly surprised that she didn't know he had been following Lucario to the Dojo. Especially since it was about the time they bumped into each other. "Yeah, my Metang had just gotten into the treats and evolved" he pulled a bag of Rare Candy's out of his pocket and jingled them. "I don't know though, he usually trains himself. So I thought he wanted to train some more." in truth that was more of an excuse still. He just didn't know why Lucario decided to bolt out of that alleyway. He struck a serious pose "I mean woulda still rocked his Gi off" he smirked shot two pointed fingers overlapping each other with a thumb out into the air. "You can't punch a hole into a body of Steel" of course he was referring to his team more than his actual body but he was sure she got the point.
Lucario saw Hikaru's Aura brighten up for a quick moment. She must be happy he thought. What she said though made him panic though. "I do hope we are not just lying in the street though." If they were just laying down in the streets right now and his fur got dirty he was gonna torture Gio as soon as they got back. "...or eating things off of it.""Yes, let's hope not" he said trying to hold back his personal frustration from embarrassment.
He didn't think that Hikaru would understand that pain, especially since they only other Pokemon that knew was Kiru the Pichu. Well Pikachu now, but it was less about Kiru knowing and more about the Pikachu literally trying to do everything Lucario did. Including his grooming habits sadly, he thought. It was also embarrassing, he wasn't a Riolu trying to look cute for bonus points anymore. He was a tough Pokemon that trusted his Trainer enough to allow him to Mega Evolve. Even if it was painfully draining his energy away in battle. He appreciated that power and the Trainer that allows him to achieve that same power. So the least he could do was keep his fur as clean as possible. That way Gio wouldn't have to clean him and there would be more time to train. Especially since Gio would usually collapse wherever he was when the got into a room at the Pokemon Centers. That was also what he wished to achieve, to train so hard that you just collapse when you are finally safe.
His thought bubble burst as he realized they had been walking for some time. A massive shift in the aura of the direction they were traveling in. He couldn't quite tell what it was but it was kind of like the first tree they had encountered only hollow? No absorbed by what was living on it. The first thing he thought of was a small village, but that would mean the structure was massive. "This seems to be incredible" he said in awe of the sheer caliber of work that must have gone into building it
Gio was definitely surprised there was a structure like this here in this forest. When Arezu had said that it was different from the forests around Saffron she wasn't lying. Of course he wasn't even sure if there was forest like this at all. The center tree was massive. It had steps surrounding the base of it all up and down the roots. As the steps wrapped around the tree itself you could see they were connected to platforms all the way to the top. Each platform seemed to house its own living area till you reached the top. At the top was a bright Golden light protruding from inside what seemed to be a hollow spot or a flattened part. It seemed they were to be growing the branches very precariously, he thought. But some how it all meshed together.
Arezu turned to Gio with her eyes alight. It seemed she was pretty excited to explore the mega structure "I take it you don't know who lives there then" he said joking quizzically. He really wanted to know who or what built this place. Even more so he wanted to know what was causing that light at the top to shine. This world really was full of mysteries waiting to be solved.
He reached for his Empoleon's ball and let it out. A bright red light shot out from the end and the Steel Penguin was released. Instantly he threw his head up in the air as if protesting that Gio was still not worthy enough to have such a Pokemon in his presence. "Hey bud" Gio spoke to him but he turned away. "Might need you to flood us out here if things get hairy or if they have any traps."
It was obvious why Empoleon was acting this way Gio thought. He flooded Fuchsia City Gym to get to them Leader. Nobody has time to try and figure out these puzzles all the Gym Leaders do so he bypassed it. Either that or Empoleon was upset that Gio lost that battle with Sable. It was a close battle he thought, came down to the final round. Of course with a Pokemon as prideful as this one a loss is a loss and full of shame.
Lucario took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. He was primed and ready to explore. He tilted his head to face Hikaru's direction. "Race you there" he said as he started to sprint to the base.
