This forest has an appealing aromatic scent to it that is perceived differently for every person. Some might think it smells like honey, while others believe the scent smells like roses, berries, lavender, or other natural scents. It varies to match the dreamer's subconscious preference.
The paths through the forest are grassy and full of flowers and plant life. Wandering off the main path can lead trainers to shallow ponds of fresh crystal clear water. A variety of animal and plant pokemon reside here. Most are friendly and docile, placated by the soothing scent of the forest.

Pokemon Appearances:
5 rp posts are required, then generate a number between 1 and 33. This will determine the Pokemon that appears. All encountered pokemon will match the average level of your active party.
EXP is quantified by the number of words in your post. For every 100 words you write, each active party pokemon gets 1 EXP, so at 200 words, each active party member gets 2 EXP, at 300 words, 3 EXP, and so on. This stops after 1000 words, i.e. the max EXP you can get per pokemon per post is 10 without any exp bonuses. Posts can have more than 1000 words in them, however the word limit for bonus EXP is 1000. The word count doesn't round up, so if you have 199 words, it's still only 1 exp per pokemon, not 2. Please note how many words are in your post somewhere in your post. The word count does not include coding and layout, only the words in your RP posts.
Pokemon, NPCs, and Items:
All wild pokemon are encountered in the Dream World by spending Pokemon Encounter Post Points, and they will match the average level of your active party. You ARE allowed to capture pokemon in the Dream World. Any pokemon caught in the Dream World can stay with your trainer while they travel around the Dream World, but will be mysteriously transported to your trainer's PC when they wake up. The pokemon encountered in the Dream World are usually only available in select areas of the guild, so use this as an opportunity to catch your favorite pokemon or fill up your pokedex!
You may also battle NPCs in the Dream World, as other trainers will be getting thrown into the realm as well. Their maximum combined team level will be equal to 4 times your active party's average level.
Battle Changes:
-All Battles will be Inverse Battles -Obedience Rules do not apply -Lower level pokemon will move first -Status altering moves will work in reverse, as if the pokemon using it has the ability Contrary. For pokemon who actually have the ability Contrary, status altering moves work normally.

Following the path from the large tree she'd woken up from, Eline found herself at a long sprawled out treeline. A forest rather thick, but with a clear defined path laid before her. Looking back she could see the shear size of the tree, finding a size that large had to of been at this location for many hundreds of years. With a sigh, the scientist turned back to the forest. "This is very elaborate." She spoke but then smiled and looked down to Nobelium and nodded. "Let's continue." She added. Stepping forward, the two-toned haired woman lead her team into the bosom of the forest. She was quickly overtaken by the waft of something sweet. Honey perhaps? So this forest was using aromatherapy? What could this entail? 'The earth has a strong scent here.' Nobelium stated. Titanium glanced back barking softly, her tone suggesting she didn't agree. "Hmm? You don't smell the honey?" Eline mentioned. Nobelium shook his head. "Are we smelling something different? This is far to elaborate if that's the case. I don't think the Aether technology could allow two separate beings standing right next to one another to smell something completely different." Eline explained. Walking forward in thought, the scientist was torn from her thoughts when she heard something before her. Glancing down she saw it was a Fomantis... an adorable little grass-type, with eyes that drew Eline in. It's expression changed once eye contact was made, and quick the grass-type called for a battle. It launched a flurry of leaves, to which Titanium was quick to step up and defend her trainer. "Use Freeze Dry, Titanium." Eline called. Titanium obliged, using her attack though something seemed odd about it. The Fomantis ended up frozen, as the attack is wont to do, allowing Eline to approach. Using her lab coat as a makeshift shield from Titanium's summoned hail. "Titanium were you holding back?" Eline inquired. The fox shook her head. "Right, as if you would hold back." She chuckled. "Could it be..." She'd need to test her new theory on a new... less frozen target. "Finish up this battle, Titanium." Eline mentioned, stepping back beside Nobelium.
Left to her own devises, the snowy fox used Moonblast in favor of her ice-type moves, shattering the ice while also knocking out the Fomantis. Eline approached, gazing down at the grass-type. "We need to find another Pokemon to battle." Eline mentioned. Turning back towards Nobelium the scientist held an inquisitive look in her gaze. "I suspect they've issued a reversal effect, known as inverse in this simulation." She mentioned. "This Fomantis is rather weak, and one Freeze-dry from Titanium should of easily knocked it out." She continued. "But I need test this theory once more. That being said, Sulfur could you join us?" Eline asked. A moment later a beat of light appeared from one of the pokeballs on Eline's bag, and it quickly formed the shape of the firey cat. "If we come across another Pokemon, it will be your chance to battle." The feline nodded seemingly grinning with eagerness.
That settled, her attention was brought back to the forest in which they stood. The smell of honey had been replaced with what smelt like Sulfur... which was odd. Granted the Pokemon she'd just summoned was a fire-type and named Sulfur, but Sulfur's fur didn't smell like it's namesake. She was inclined to follow the scent. "If we venture into the forest and stray from the path, there would be a greater chance of running into another Pokemon so I can test my theory." Eline explained. "Let's go this way." This could also lead her to the scent she'd picked up. Of course not long after they'd started to walk, the group came across a small pond with a large rock wall at one end. "Sulfur pools exist, but it doesn't seem as though this smell is coming from this pond." Kneeling down beside the pond, she reached a hand into the water... it wasn't water? Pulling up her hand she looked over it. Her skin should of been moist, but no... it was just as dry as before. "This is... How!?" Standing up she turned to a tree, grabbing a low hanging branch. "Wood feels like wood... leaves feel like leaves." She then looked back to the water. "But water isn't water?" This was breaking Eline's brain. With a determined look the white-haired scientist set down her bag, then pulled off her lab coat. 'Eline you are not planning on jumping in there?' Nobelium asked. "I must. I feel like my being a scientist calls for this." She stated, pulling off her shorts and tights while kicking off her boots as she did so. Soon enough the scientist was in nothing but her bathing suit. 'But can't you just dip your toes in? Jumping into water that isn't water could be disastrous.' Nobelium warned. What if the water didn't even exist and was merely an illusion she was about to drop into a several feet deep pond so easily? Nobelium wasn't going to let her take that risk alone. As Eline leaped off the edge of the pond, Nobelium jumped with her, both landed with a splash. A moment later, both brought their heads up over the surface. "It's... Water, but not water?" Eline pondered, reaching up to touch her hair... still dry. Splashing some of the water, it reacted much like any liquid. "This is... breaking my brain." Eline muttered. Swimming over to the edge of the pond, she pulled herself up into the grass, turning to sit on her butt. The more and more she was in this world the more she questioned the technology that humans could create. A simulation with real trees, real earth.. but fake water? Was she really in the possession of her mother's lackey's or was this something entirely different? If only someone could explain this to her? 'Eline?' Nobelium pulled himself out of the water, resting beside the scientist. She just didn't know how to respond... what was the logic of this world?

Of course her mind was beyond boggled, there was no use in simply laying about. Since she hadn't needed to wait to dry off, the scientist redressed herself, then looked back out towards the lake with a strong look of determination on her face. She had to figure out the mystery of this place, but what was more important was Radium. The young Pichu had certainly proved herself in being battle capable, but when it came to dealing with human trainers and wild ghost Pokemon, it was a far greater difference than an apple to an orange. "I'll figure out the mystery of this water later." Eline exclaimed. "For now we should continue to look around for an escape." She added. Grabbing her bag, Eline released the remainder of her team, finding each were still with her... again save Radium. "I feel I should ask this, but you all look in good health. Does anyone fell odd?" Eline inquired. She couldn't put it past her mother's goons to have injected or done something to one of them. Though no one seemed at all bothered. That was, until her eyes landed upon Helium. "Look at you, Helium!" Eline exclaimed, quickly kneeling down before her Pokemon, specifically Helium. "You've evolved. Bug-types to grow quickly, but I hadn't expected you'd grow that quickly." She smiled. Helium hadn't even taken part in a battle as far as Eline could recall, so it was quite the shock to see the small bug having cocooned herself.
'Eline?' Cooed the soft voice of the female Zoroark that was currently accompanying Eline. Dawned in the visage of a young human woman, Lithium puffed on her long pipe until Eline turned her gaze up to the disguised Zoroark. 'I don't feel odd, but this place feels odd doesn't it?' She inquired. 'Surely you feel it too, Nobelium?' She further inquired turning her gaze to the Zygarde beside Eline. 'Yes. I have, but almost every new place I visit feels odd compared to the last.' He replied, gazing over towards Eline. 'She speaks of the air. I thought nothing of it, but if Lithium feels it, I suppose it does bring reason to mention.' Eline nodded. "I don't feel anything, but I'm also a human. Pokemon have odd ways about them when it comes to their environment. Things they notice albeit extremely subtle, that humans never pick up upon until it becomes blatantly obvious." Like when wild life and Pokemon start to suffer in vast amounts due to pollution or over population. "What does this odd feeling feel like?" Eline asked, resting her gaze on Lithium. 'Hmm? How best to explain it? I feel as though... I am in a dream, but not asleep.' She replied. In a dream but not asleep? Resting a hand on her chin, the young woman began to ponder this.
"Mrrrawr!""O-o-ob-ba-ba-boy!""Vuuuul!" Suddenly the thoughts in Eline's head were vastly outnumbered by the cries of her Pokemon. Looking up to see what the fuss was about, the white-haired woman noticed a figure approaching them from across the lake. It appeared to be... a fairly large Snivy. "What is this now?" Eline exclaimed, rushing forward. A giant Snivy, no giant wasn't the word for it... Ginormous was more like it! "Even from across the pond that Pokemon looks to be the size of a Tyranitar." Eline voiced. "What kind of trickery is this?" 'I don't think it is an illusion.' Lithium mentioned. Being a Zoroark it was often easy enough to see through most illusions. But she could be wrong. Even so, aside from it's sheer size the Snivy itself appeared to be walking on the water. Which Eline felt was indeed ridicules. She'd just been in that water and there was no signs of it being that shallow!
There was nothing the team could do but wait until the Snivy finally came to a stop some twenty or so feet away. It leaned forward growling towards Eline and her companions. Was it... issuing a challenge? "I must get a further look at that Pokemon!" Eline shouted. "Sulfur, use Fire Fang!" The feline hissed into the air, rushing forward. Just as the Snivy was doing, Sulfur seemed to be running on the water. He was more or less not bothered by it, considering it wasn't actually wet. As he approached the Snivy, the giant lizard unleashed a couple vines from around it's neck, each landing on their mark, Sulfur luckily snagged one of the vines in his fire lit mouth, but the Snivy barely even reacted to it. In fact, it looked as though Sulfur was in far more pain. "Once more, it appeared a super effective move was barely even phasing these Pokemon. Could they be that strong? No, despite resisting Titanium's attacks she still knocked out that Formantis rather quickly. Perhaps? Could it be? The infamous inverse effect? "Hmm... If fire won't do, then we'll need something Grass would normally be strong against." All her knowledge of battles rattled around in her head until she realized... the only Pokemon she had to combat this foe were not on her 'main team' With a sigh, the scientist looked up. "Remind me to get all of you more diverse move pools." Eline jested. "We'll just have to tough this one out, Sulfur! Fire Fang it again!" She called out. Sulfur did his best to avoid a second barrage of Vines, but ended up getting knicked in the end. Calling the feline back to his ball, Eline motioned Titanium forward. "It's been weakened, use a neutral move like Moonblast." Eline instructed. Doing as suggested, Titanium rushed forward and once she was before the Snivy she bounded around the vines' taking a smack to her rear, but she was strong enough to withstand the attack and initiated her own, and while a mirage of a moon appeared in the clear blue skies, hail pelted down in unison, knocking the Snivy out at last. With a puff of smoke, the Ginormous Snivy seemingly shrank... as if it had been merely a balloon the entire time.

Coming to the realization that this... place they were in was somewhat skewed from the norm, Eline sat back down and pulled her bag up into her lap. "How to deal with this?" She wasn't sure really. "Inverse battles are tricky. From what I know, Pokemon with a grass affinity are normally weak to bug, flying, poison, fire and ice. But here they would actually have the upper hand." Thinking hard on an internal type chart in her head, the scientist finally brought down her hand to an open palm. "If we are to continue searching through this place we need Water, Grass, Ground and... electric." Again Radium came to mind. If only she'd been quick enough to collect Radium before making for her own escape. Would Radium be upset with her for not stopping to save her? 'Eline...' Looking up the young woman met with Nobelium's concerned eyes. "Yes, right. We need to armour ourselves up." She mused, looking across her team. "Sulfur, would you mind taking a rest and let Neon take your place for now?" She asked the Torracat. Sulfur huffed, but in the end walked over to some grass in a sun patch. Eline grinned, nodding her head some. 'O-o-o-b-b-b-boy!' The glitchy Rotom exclaimed. As Eline thought over more ways to better swap around her team to make traveling around easier should more wild Pokemon attack.. said pokemon appeared just up the edge of the lake. 'E-e-e-e-e-eli-li-li-line!' Neon was first to exclaim. 'Not a moments rest in this place it seems.' Lithium huffed, taking another drag of her pipe before moving over towards Sulfur to take a sit.
What approached them from the lake side was not a grass-type, but a Fire-type. A Vulpix to be exact. Titanium's ears perked slightly upon seeing the pokemon. Aside from the colour of their fur, the two looked nearly alike. The Vulpix however didn't seem keen to getting to know it's look alike, and quickly crouched down with a sharp 'Vul'. Eline let out a sigh. Here she was thinking this forest was overun with grass-types, and a fire-type comes waltzing in. Thankfully, her mind was quickly privy to details on typings. Meaning Neon was still a rather good choice. Albeit on the weaker side, Eline would still send the Rotom forward. "Test out a Signal beam upon that vixen." Eline instructed. 'G-g-g-g-ot-tit-tit-it' He exclaimed rushing at the Vulpix. Either the Vulpix had a sudden change of heart, or was rather shocked to see Neon the one who pushed towards it. Needless to say, when the glitchy Washing machine launched a technicolor beam that sparkled through the air until it struck the Vulpix it was knocked out in an instant. Eline was once again left in puzzlement. "Neon went first? But, the last few times the opponent has gone first..." It the dawned on her. "I see! So this is the work of Trick Room!" So the layers were getting thicker and thicker weren't they? Slower Pokemon move quicker and vice versa, fast Pokemon moved slower.
When starting out her journey, Eline wasn't entirely set on training her Pokemon for Gym badges or the like. She'd been content with traveling and catching Pokemon all the while capturing Zygarde Cores and Cells. However, twice now she'd been in the inconvenient presence of her mother's lackeys. If was was to get them to leave her alone to enjoy what she'd set out to do... she'd have to get stronger. Why not make her Pokemon stronger at the same time? Challenging battles as these would prove useful if ever they were met with an unfortunate curve-ball. "Good work, Neon." Eline congratulated the Rotom as it returned. "We will no doubt be meeting many more Pokemon while here, so keep an eye out for anything suspicious." Everyone (save the sleeping Sulfur and Calcium) gave a nod to Eline's words. Yes, this was certainly going to be a rather fun experience.

Continuing down the trail, Naomi was pleasantly surprised at the forest they found themselves in. Dirt turned into grass, untrodden, and muffled his and Ieyasu's footsteps as they traveled further into the new area. Surrounded by vibrant vegetation, Naomi quickly grew adjusted to the surplus of green around them, from the bushes, to the leaves, to the grass, flowers were the only real color reprieve they had, adding a splash of red or orange to the background. Naomi certainly felt as if he was standing out, what with his bright yellow shirt, and an easy target to spot. Though, that wasn't necessarily a bad thing? In a storybook-esque forest like this there was nothing to worry about.
He inhaled slowly, uncertain if he'd correctly identified the scent in the air. Though subtle at first, the scent of mint still wafted through the air, prompting Naomi to take deeper, more frequent breaths. It was soothing, and the further they walked the stronger it became. "Is there a mint patch nearby?" he asked out loud, now curious as well as placid. Both Rotom and Ieyasu glanced at him, expressing their own versions of confusion. "I can't smell anything while I'm in here," Rotom responded flatly, his expression matching his tone. Ieyasu took the opportunity to look around before giving his answer, semi-knowledgeable about the herb, at least enough to recognize it. When he couldn't immediately spot a patch (which was understandable, considering the sheer amount of vegetation) he sniffed the air delicately. But all he could smell was...
"Be careful, Naomi," Ieyasu warned, pouncing forward and shifting into a defensive position. "There is something coming." His eyes narrowed onto a grouping of bushes, to the left of the trail, seconds before the bushes began to rustle and a Vulpix poked its head out, its eyes glowing an eerie blue. "Oh!" Despite Ieyasu's caution, Naomi still found himself relaxing at the sight of the vulpine, even with its odd eyes. It was just a pokemon, and since this was a dream they had--
Before he could finish his thought the Vulpix opened its maw and spat out a single flame. It crackled and burned the grass before growing into a fiery vortex, leaving behind a trail of blackened grass before striking Ieyasu. Shamefully, Naomi hopped back, face instantly flushed by the heat, with a strangled cry of surprise. Rotom, always quick to retreat, took refuge behind a nearby tree. Ieyasu was the only one who stood his ground, growling out in rebellion before sinking his claws into the grass and digging a hole just in time to avoid a stream of red-orange fire. He popped back out once the attack had died down, leaving behind only an air of uncomfortable of heat, and struck the Vulpix. The fire-type didn't budge, and it certainly didn't flinch, before opening its maw and letting loose another stream of fire. Ieyasu threw himself to the ground, though at a close-range attack guaranteed that he didn't get out unscathed. Though his fur was singed, steam rising up off his body, he'd kept from being burned, and the second he was on his paws dark energy began to gather in front of his open mouth, creating a dark ball. He kept it small, wanting to keep to speedy attacks rather than powerful, and shot it off at the Vulpix. It stumbled back, the attack leaving it unbalanced, and gave Ieyasu the opening he needed to shoot off yet another Shadow Ball.
While this was happening, Naomi, who'd managed to compose himself, found his mind working feverishly. Ignoring the fact that they were, most definitely, not in a dream (after all, he'd never dream of having a wild pokemon attack him and his team), the battle itself had left him confounded. Ieyasu had used Dig, which was a ground-type attack, and so it should have done a significant amount of damage to Vulpix, which was a fire-type, and yet when Ieyasu had struck it, Vulpix hadn't even reacted. And even now, while his partner had switched up tactics, using Shadow Ball instead of Dig, Vulpix was quickly growing resistant to the attacks. At least, that was what it looked like to him. After the second attack the vulpine had recovered faster, gathering its bearings before slamming itself into Ieyasu. Spinning on its paws Vulpix then proceeded to face Ieyasu, its maw already partially opened. Aware of what move it'd be using, he began digging into the ground in an attempt to dodge it as best he could. Just like before, however, he couldn't avoid the fire fully, and to add insult to, literal, injury Vulpix spat out another ball of fire right after the first, though this one was a ghostly blue flame, and thankfully missed Ieyasu entirely.
Vulpix, wavering on its feet, looked quickly around the battleground, scorched and littered with holes, before setting an off-centered glare at Naomi. It took a step forward, then lifted a paw up to take another, but didn't get the chance before Ieyasu jumped out of the hole, and used its momentum to ram his head directly into the fire-type's snout. It was a vicious enough attack, or rather Vulpix was weak enough, that immediately collapsed to the ground. Ieyasu panting heavily and with his entire form shaking, fought against his own weariness just long enough to walk back to Naomi. "This place is not normal," he spoke, between pants. Just like his trainer he'd noticed how ineffective his attacks had been, attacks that, in the real world, would have easily taken care of Vulpix.
Naomi nodded his head in agreement before picking up Ieyasu, just in time too, from what it looked like; his knees had been close to buckling. "If you can, you should release a few of the others," Ieyasu suggested, gratefully relaxing into Naomi's arms. "Yes, that is a good idea. Though, before that we should get you healed," was his counter-suggestion, and without waiting to hear his opinion Naomi crouched down to begin spraying Ieyasu down with a few, several potions. He'd taken a lot more damage than he'd suspected, in fact if he probably would have fainted the next turn, so the pokemon here were worryingly strong. Once Ieyasu was fully healed, Naomi released Moriyoshi and Tomoe, and gave them a quick rundown of the situation they were in, and then checking to assure Rotom had returned to them, before he started moving again.
Now cautiously wandering, Naomi became aware that he had no real idea of where they were headed, what was out there, or what their final destination was. He realized this after a full five minutes had passed, Ieyasu still in his arms, and Mori and Tomoe acting as bodyguards. Though Tomoe was a rather... distracted protector, and flittered off the second she saw a flower. That was... alright, for the most part, she always came immediately back once she'd finished inspecting. Eventually Naomi became aware of the trees thinning out, and when he looked up ahead he saw a body of water, and a little further a humanoid figure surrounded by several different pokemon. Curious, but still keeping in mind to remain wary, Naomi quickened his pace. "Hello there!" he called out as he drew closer, his attention falling primarily on the white-haired woman in white. She was the first human he'd seen since stepping into the forest, and he was eager for human contact, maybe she'd have an idea of what was going on. "I do not mean to bother you, but... do you know where we are?" He paused, repeating the question in his head, before giving a sheepish smile and amending his query, "Well, I know we are in a forest. But, do you know what this entire place is? I have only just arrived here."

Eline's curiosity far outweighed her vigilance, which made her Pokemon all the more vigilant in turn. Nobelium the most vigilant of the group set out around the lake to investigate the boundary of the body of water, just to make sure these Pokemon weren't being released solely to attack Eline. Of course he wasn't alone, as Flourine decided to follow him from the air. Eline in the meantime stood at the edge of the water deep in thought. Surrounding the white-haired scientist were Helium (considering she couldn't actually move), Lithium who'd moved over to Eline's side leaving Sulfur to bask in the sun by his lonesome, which he didn't mind in the least. The odd ghostly addition to the team, Cerium waited by Calcium while Neon, Titanium, Mercury and Xenon took up defending their makeshift spot in this odd world.
Lithium had at one point perked her illusioned ears as if she'd heard something in the distance, but her attention was taken when she heard the sound jump some twenty or so feet over towards where Neon and his gaggle of guards were. She watched with amusement as an Elekid appeared... yet another Pokemon not of the 'grass affinity' as Eline would have put it. 'A-a-a-fe-fe-fe-fo-o-o-o.' Neon glitched blue sparks flickering along his washing machine-shaped body. Mercury appeared to grow timid, only for something unseen to push her forward, impelling her to lift up her spiky appendages and strike the intimidating Elekid. She was quite shocked when the Electric-type recoiled in pain, growing teary eyed before suddenly rushing forward flailing it's arms. As it ran away small star-shaped projectiles suddenly rained down upon the group giving them no chance to retaliate before the Elekid was already far away. It was quite the shock to Neon and his crew, mercury the most as she hadn't expected to even attack it. 'Oh, Eline..' Lithium muttered, reaching a hand up to tug at the scientists coat, well more or less she yanked Eline to the side, nearly sending the woman clean into her lap. Eline's foot luckily jutted to the side, helping her maintain her balance. "What is it?" She asked, rather shook by her near tumble. Lithium merely grinned, then motioned with her piped-holding hand towards the approaching Elekid. What she saw running towards them was a tear soaked Elekid, eyes shut so tightly it likely didn't even know where it was running. Lithium suddenly vanished, leaving Eline in the direct path of the Elekid.
There was little time to think, but if she didn't stop the Elekid from running with it's eyes shut, it could likely end up hurting itself. Kneeling down she quickly caught the electric-type in her hands, holding him still. His arms flailed in every which direction occasionally sending a small static shock tingling down Eline's hands. "Calm down, little one. There is no need for all these tears." She insisted. "You're safe now. I'm sure whatever happened to you wasn't work all this drama." The Elekid flailed a bit more, but eventually it started to slow it's flailing before it finally pealed open it's eyes to stare up at Eline the water works still pouring from it's eyes. "There we go. Now, tell me whats wrong?" Looking over the now sniffling Elekid, Eline spotted what looked to be a reddish mark forming under the thin fur of the Elekid. 'Mer-er-er-cur-ur-ur-ur-ee s-s-s-tru-ru-ru-ruck it' Neon assisted. Mercury peeked out from behind neon at the mention of her name. "I'm sure you were scared yourself, Mercury." Gazing down at the Elekid, Eline released her grip on the baby electric type and gently patted his arm. "Did you mean to scare Mercury?" Eline asked. The Elekid responded with a shake of his head turning towards Mercury with a bow. It was as if he was apologizing. Mercury gazed down herself, silently apologizing for her own rash action. "There we go, now we can all be friends." Eline exclaimed. "Say, little one perhaps you would like to join us?" It seemed kinda nervous about the idea of it, though it didn't decline right away. Eline grabbed a ball from her bag using it upon the electric-type, only for it to break out after a second roll. With a rather unhappy look in it's gaze. "Oh? I'm sorry, I don't mean to force you to join us." Eline offered a smile. This seemed to make the Elekid think upon it a bit longer before he finally looked up and nodded. "So you do?" She asked. Reaching into her bag she pulled out another ball, holding it up towards him. "I'll let you hit the button when you'd like to. If you don't want to join that's fine as well." She stated with another nod.
"For now, why don't you just hold onto that ball and join my friends here? We could use some help better understanding this place. I mean, I'm not even sure if you are a real Pokemon or not." Eline chuckled. The Elekid held tightly to the ball as it looked around at Eline's companions. When it started to look rather scared again, Mercury approached, offering suggesting it join them on patrol. Reluctant, the Elekid followed regardless. Eline watched, happy that this little incident had been settled without much fuss. Though when she stood up and her hand brushed up against her coat she felt a rather large shock run up her hand making her jump. Laughing at the silliness of it all.
But then from behind her, she heard a voice that seemed directed towards her. Turning her head only when she saw the rather out-of-date dressed male approaching her, she turned to face him. He had inquired about where they were, adding in he was aware they were in a forest. Eline grinned at it, stepping forward a bit as she turned to face him fully. "I'm not sure of that myself, Samurai." She replied. Amused by his clothes they reminded her of Lithium's choice in attire. "At first I thought this was perhaps a simulation created by my mother, but I've grown to think differently." Raising a hand to chin, she rested a finger in her cheek tapping it lightly in thought. "Everything in this place feels very real, and I'm roughly 95% sure even my mother doesn't have that kind of technology yet." Only a few sentences in, and Eline was already lost in thought, she'd completely forgotten she'd even been speaking to another human and turned away once more to face the water thoughts of the conundrum of water that wasn't water.

Walking Pokemon ⇨
As he walked along, Felix noticed that the foliage became denser. It seemed he had chosen to walk towards a lush forest, although he was a bit curious about how he could have missed that fact earlier. Surely he should have noticed the trees in the distance. Whatever, this place doesn't have to make sense, the young man figured as he took in the scents of the area. The sharp scents of citrus fruits and the mellow aromas of the blooms they came from wafted through the air. Felix didn't think he saw any trees that should bear those sorts of fruits, but he was no expert and thus thought little of it. He just appreciated the nice scent as he continued walking down the path.
It seemed that another pokemon as traveling along the path, some weird little bear pokemon that looked like a stuffed animal. Unlike Felix, though, it didn't seem very willing to share the grassy path. "Stuff! Stufful Stuff!" the odd bear pokemon complained as it waved a paw at Felix. The man could just leave it be but... Well, he did promise one of his new acquisitions that the next time a battle occurred, Felix would send him out. It certainly seemed like the stufful wasn't going to let him pass without a fight. "Right then," the man mused as he grabbed a ball off his belt. "Come out, Zelse." As he spoke, he gently lobbed the ball in front of him to let out the pokemon outside.
Once he materialized, the froakie looked up at the human. "Fro?" the pokemon croaked. Felix just smirked. "You wanted a battle. Here's your chance," the trainer explained, then motioned towards the odd bear that was already charging at the water pokemon. A solid hit that sent the froakie back, but Zelse showed he could hit just as hard with the frothy bubbles he spat out. "Again," Felix commanded, and once again the froakie spat out several bubbles that collided with the stufful's fur. This time, though, the strange bear just sat there and took the hit. Which probably meant...
"Enough playing. End it with quick attack," the trainer instructed, and with a hop and a slam, Zelse did just that. The stufful was knocked away and soon fled the area to find a new spot to claim. Felix chuckled a bit as Zelse croaked proudly. "Not bad... For a start." The froakie didn't quite agree with how much praise he received, but was willing to let it slide. For now. After all, one fight was hardly a real indication of his abilities. The frog pokemon croaked again before hopping onto his preferred perch, that being Felix's head. "...You know I'm not going to tolerate this when you evolve, right?"

While Jay moved his way very carefully forward, arm outstretched, his other senses pricked at hints of his surroundings. Fresh grass, open air... there was a breeze that swept his features now and then, tickling his hair over his face. His skin almost felt like there was sunlight shining on him, but as he drew closer to what seemed to be trees, and stepped further, the temperature kind of dropped, and he assumed he was in the shade. It was weird, though-- it all felt just slightly off. It wasn't so much that he could feel the sun hitting his skin, radiating on his forearms or his shoulder, as he just registered a sense of warmth as if that were happening. But the details of it were missing. Similarly, the temperature difference was... there, but there was something more cognitive, than sensory about it. And the echoes he was getting as he clicked his tongue weren't as consistent as usual. He would swear there was a tree, or something, after one click, but it was gone the next. It was like the topography was changing, but some stayed still enough that he was able to carefully, cautiously inch forward, arm still extended before him, with his other held out to the side.
Overall, it had a very dream-like effect on him, and it almost made him want to lay down, but he, himself, felt very... solid. He could feel his own movements and presence so strongly, that it conflicted with the lofty, elusive senses of everything around him. Eventually, his fingers brushed something, and he relaxed some, coming in up against what seemed to eb a tree, given the impression he'd been getting, and the feel of bark under his fingertips. Still, the ground felt a little odd under his grip, and his impression of his surroundings was too soft and yielding for him to feel steady or reassured by one solid, physical shape. To try and ground himself, he leaned down, moving his hand from the base of the tree, up, and while it felt solid all the way, he still didn't really get any more footing from it. This was so odd....
'.... Jay?'
The ginger stopped immediately, turning his head, and trying to listen for any signs of the pokemon he had suddenly heard nearby. Nothing.
'... Ralward? Where--'
'Jay you're dreaming,' the ralts interrupted immediately, 'Sort of. It seems that your consciousness has been displaced to... somewhere else. The other pokemon and I are working on this, but Lee should be joining you soon.' Jay's brow furrowed and he took a breath.
'Lee? What--'
'As well as some others. I'm having a hard time hearing your thoughts, Jay, as you're.... thinking in a dream in a dream world, but I'm able to at least contact you. I'll keep in touch, but be safe-- wherever you are, I can tell there are other people... and wild pokemon.'
Well that was... concerning, and a little less than enlightening. Jay furrowed his brow, and reached back. He had his gear here... but if what Rawly said was true, he wasn't sure whether using them would do anything. Then again, if this... 'dream world' reacted to what he perceived to be true, maybe using them would work as well as he expected them to? This sure was going to get confusing.
Taking a deep breath, Jay shifted and turned, leaning back against the tree, and clicking his tongue as he tried to listen in. He couldn't really tell Ralward where he'd gone in this dream world, but hopefully his pokemon could find him, if they got in here too. And hopefully they would before whatever was making that scuttling sound further off did....

As Jay waited, Ralward got things ready. He opened his eyes and lifted his head, then turned to look at the other pokemon. "Jay's okay," he informed them, turning towards the group. Koda, Annie, Lee, PJ, and Archen were all out of their pokeballs, for the time being, waiting for Ralward to get back to them.
It hadnt' taken too long after Jay fell asleep that the ralts had picked up that something had gone wrong, and he had to pause his session with PJ regarding contests. It had taken a bit of telepathic digging, as well as exploring nearby areas to pick up that this was happening to others, before he was able to sort of piece together what was going on. Once he actually knew what the situation was, he considered his options, and eventually, gathered the pokemon he thought might be best to involve in this. "Annie, Archen, you two will probably be in your pokeballs with Jay when you fall asleep, since I'll return you two, but he should be able to call you out for battle." The psychic fairy paused a moment, before continuing, "Lee, I think you should stay out of your pokeball so you can find Jay, and help him get around." The pokemon looked at each other, and Lee chittered curiously, before everyone seemed to be in agreement. Well... almost everyone.
"Shouldn't I go too?" Koda asked, eyes glowing as he leaned his head down, looking earnestly at Ralward. ".... I'm afraid we may need you here, Koda. I'm not sure how easily Jay could wake up... and you're one of his more powerful pokemon," the ralts replied simply. Koda tilted his head, before drawing back, and sitting. Rawly decided not to include that he wasn't sure it would be a good idea, given Koda's slightly... odd behavior as of late, and the apparent presence of more than a few other souls within the pokemon. "... I think it would be best if you simply stand watch with him, so to speak," he added in conclusion, carefully watching the wispard, who was looking wistfully away. That caught his attention again, and Koda looked back, ears perked some. "I can do that," he complied, more openly. Rawly nodded, before shuffling over, and tapping the buttons on Annie and Archens' pokeballs. The two were recalled, and Rawly took a breath, before sitting down. "Try to go to sleep, Lee. You should be able to join Jay once you do," he urged, looking to the little bug pokemon. She churred again, her pincers flexing questioningly, before she curled up by her trainers shoulder, and closed her eyes. Thankfully, it wasn't too long before her little body fell into a rhythmic rise and fall. Once she seemed to be fast asleep, and Rawly was fairly sure that the other two were asleep in their pokeballs, he closed his eyes again, and reached back into Jay's mind.
"Jay?" He waited a moment, before proceeding on, "The pokemon should be with you. Lee will be out of her pokeball to join you and help, but you should be able to use Annie, Archen, and your houndour to defend yourself, and release them from their pokeballs," he explained calmly. Again though, he just couldn't get much back. He got some sort of... impression of a response from Jay, but it wasn't anything he could actually grasp onto or respond to. He wasn't even sure what the essence of it was. But, Jay didn't feel panicked. He felt his usual calm self; a bit more reserved and wary, perhaps, but not out of his mind, so to speak. And now that the pokemon were there, hopefully he would be safe to explore whatever world this was, while the rest of them waited for him to wake. And with just a little bit of misinformation.... hopefully Rawly could learn more about the limitations of this dream world. The deeper Felix wandered into the forest, the more tempted he was to stray from the path. The scents of flowers and fruit certainly were pleasant, but they also reminded the man of the fact that he hadn't eaten for a while. Although, Felix found it slightly curious that it even mattered, given he was pretty sure he wasn't actually conscious. Hunger wasn't usually something he felt in dreams, or at least he didn't remember it happening before. He supposed it could be a point towards him actually being dead, but he wasn't particularly keen on accepting that as a possibility. Either way, it didn't change the fact that he felt hungry, which meant the rest of his pokemon probably did, too. "Let's see if this fruit scent is just for show," Felix suggested to the froakie sitting on his head before slipping past the bushes lining the path. It probably wouldn't matter too much if he got lost in this place.
Felix wasn't walking for long before Zelse hopped off his head. Man, fourteen pounds of frog using a head as a springboard really wasn't a pleasant feeling. "Think you could give a little warning next time, Zelse?" the trainer requested while rubbing the back of his neck, but if the froakie heard, he wasn't acting like it. The frog instead continued to hop through the forest, leaving Felix to follow after the water type with a sigh. He was really starting to regret swiping the water type during his little job. Not that he really had anyone to blame for that but himself. He was impulsive and was now paying for it with an impulsive water type. He just hoped those other two starters wouldn't be as big of a handful... assuming he ever got to wake up and train them.
More than once the trainer lost sight of Zelse, but it wouldn't be long after that he'd manage to spot the froakie again. Felix wasn't quite sure if the water type was actually waiting up for him or if it just didn't care about whether he kept up or not. He supposed it didn't matter, since it ultimately meant he was following the froakie to whatever the pokemon was heading towards. Eventually Felix picked his way past enough trees to see what had probably attracted Zelse's attention; a small pond fed by a narrow stream that trailed in from somewhere deeper in the forest. As Zelse dove in to have himself a little fun, Felix walked around the edge of the small clearing. The area was ringed by dense trees with flowering bushes filling most of the gaps, and several of them looked like they had berries hanging from their branches. Still, it seemed strange. He was no expert, but Felix was pretty sure that some of the trees and bushes were wrong for the kinds of berries that hung off of them.
After circling around to the other side of the clearing, Felix noticed something and paused. He knelt down, smirked, and carefully plucked a few curly leaves that were growing up from next to the roots of a tree. "That's convenient. I wonder if they work..." the trainer mused as he rolled the stem of one of the leaves between his forefinger and thumb. He pulled out his pokedex with his other hand and gave the leaves a scan. "These are what I think they are, right Glitch?" For a brief moment, nothing, and then the porygon piped up. "Y-y-yes. The-e-ese seem to b-be the same so-o-o-orts of herbs used to revi-vi-vive pokemon," the aptly-named digital pokemon stammered out through the pokedex's speaker. It was probably a good thing that Glitch had its own knowledge to interpret what would likely be a very strange scan for a pokedex.

Jay leaned back against the tree as he took a seat, exhaling slowly. His eyes were closed -- not that it made a difference -- and his head rested against what felt, for the most part, like solid bark of a rough tree. This whole place was bizarre. He knew he couldn't respond to Rawly -- or assumed as much, at this point -- and the ralts hadn't spoken up since telling him his pokemon were "on the way". Or... were with him. Jay rolled one of the pokeballs in his hand as he listened, well aware that there were definitely other things moving in these woods. Now, whether they were trainers, or wild pokemon, he wasn't sure.
Raising his eyebrows, he heard something moving towards him, and clicked his tongue to try and get an impression. Not much came back to him... echoes were still a little odd here, it seemed. But, after a moment, he did hear something. It was muffled, and as he turned his head, he realized that the noise he'd heard approaching was the earth physically moving. He immediately pushed himself up and tilted his head-- it sounded small, but something was definitely burrowing through the ground. Stepping closer into the tree, and up onto some of the roots, Jay readied himself, but he relaxed as the earth shifted and a familiar, soft cooing churr greeted him.
"Nice t'hear ya, Lee," he returned with genuine relief, leaning down and holding a hand out. The small bug pokemon crawled from her tunnel and shook herself, before wiggling over and crawling onto his hand. He lifted her up to his shoulder where she crawled on, the warm smell of earth filling his senses as she nuzzled into his neck. "Don' s'pose yer feelin' particularly strong t'day, are ya?" he asked, turning his head, "'Cause I'm gettin' the impression we ain't alone here, and Rawly didn' send too many of y'all into here." And it wasn't like he could try and holler out back to the psychic to send more.
With Lee on his shoulder, and, hopefully, his pokemon in their pokeballs at his waist, Jay placed a hand on the tree and started cautiously moving forward. "Lee, d'ya mind helpin' me a bit?" he asked, turning his head this way and that. The bug pokemon shifted on his shoulder, before giving short little trills to help give him an echo to work off of. He had to admit, he was still more used to Zoey's supersonic-like squeaks, but this still worked well enough to at least give him a vague impression. It made the trees come off almost like large hedges, all blending together at approximate depths, but.... that could have also been part of the weird nature of this place, too.
He reached down to Annie's pokeball, absently fiddling with it. It had been so long since he'd really looked at any of his pokemon's movesets, he wasn't really sure who would be best to use in what situation. Lee continued chirping and trilling by his side, her tiny antennae twitching to a few sounds as well. Both paused and looked up at the sound of a low growl, however. Jay's brow furrowed, and he turned his head-- that sounded familiar. "PJ...?" The growlithe had never sounded like that with him, but he was pretty sure that was the same kind of pokemon that was before him. It didn't sound like PJ though... And it suddenly occurred to Jay, int he dreamworld, he wasn't sure he could communicate with his pokemon like he could with Rawly's assistance in the real world.
Jay moved to pull out Annie's pokeball all the same -- he was pretty sure the anorith knew a water move, or would at least be resistant to fire -- when Lee suddenly bristled and gave a supersonic screech, causing Jay to jerk. The cowboy immediately clapped his hands over his ears and buckled, and Lee jumped down to rush towards the confused fire pokemon. As the growlithe swung itself into a tree in its confusion, Lee leaped onto it, and dug her pincers into its neck. The pokemon yelped, and buckled, before immediately fleeing, thoroughly defeated. Jay went still as he recovered from his own shock. ".... Lee, did you just defeat that growlithe?"

He turned his head some as he felt her pawing at his pants leg, and reached down, offering her his hand again, onto which she crawled and waited to be lifted back up. She was dirty, but... he didn't really care. He wasn't sure this world was physical enough to even worry about dirt, but even if it was, he wasn't exactly a neat and tidy sort of person. He took naps in caves, after all.
"Well, least we know there are pok'mon here t'be fought..." he muttered, though honestly, he wasn't entirely sure whether that was a good thing or not. He needed to do some training, sure, but he only had so many pokemon with him to train, and he wasn't sure dream experience constituted the same that pokemon needed to get stronger and evolve. This whole adventure was turning out to be just bizarre, and that wasn't accounting for the fact that the ginger hadn't even realized just how weird that battle truly had been.
Though Jay started moving again, he stopped when he heard some more rustling. "Ches!" A pokemon shouted from ahead of him, and Jay stopped. Lee wasn't jumping forward this time, so he hesitated, but grabbed Annie's pokeball, and released the water-rock pokemon. "Annie, I ain't too sure what's goin' on here, but you mind helpin' Lee out here? This place is apparently perty full've pok'mon, 'n I ain't too sure if Lee's gonna be able to handle 'em all..." He was expecting a response, but realized, that he might not get one. Just as he was resigning to that, and trying to figure out how much this might hinder his communication with his pokemon, Annie's voice -- one he wasn't super familiar with, but could recognize all the same -- echoed out. "You got it, Jay!" he replied back happily, sounding not at all put off by this situation.
The pokemon turned, though tilted his head -- er, or, body, sort of -- as he peered at his opponent. "Though... I dunno if I'm totally the best for this," he admitted, as he stared eye to eye, with... a chespin. "Why's that?" Jay returned, brow furrowing. Crap... was that a grass type he'd sent Annie out against? Quite literally the worst possible type? As he asked this, though, Ralward's voice spoke through again. 'Jay... If you can, I would like you to try and catch a wild pokemon. There is something very odd going on... Your pokedex is responding as though there are pokemon being scanned. I'm not sure if this is relating to what is going on with you, but...' The comment was bizarre on a lot of levels, but it did remind him, he had a pokedex. And, as he reached down, it seemed he had his dream version, too. But as he lifted, it, the wild pokemon attacked, and Annie flinched, expecting the grass vine to hit hard as it came down on him. Annie blinked, though, as it.... hardly hurt at all, and looked up at the angry grass pokemon curiously. "Um..." After a pause, Annie looked up... and shot a jet of water at the pokemon.
"Pin!" The pokemon yelped in surprise and tumbled back, looking surprisingly hurt by the water attack. "Annie? What just happened?" Jay asked, pulling from his thoughts. It occurred to him that he never got a response from Annie to his other question, and now he was worried. Was that a chespin he was fighting? "Nothing! I mean, something, but.... I think this grass pokemon is weak to water, Jay!" Annie called back, enduring another vine whip, before blasting it with water. Yup... that took it out. How weird!. Jay went quiet, then walked over, clicking his tongue as he was sure the battle was finished. Once he got a good idea of where the pokemon was, he tossed a pokeball... and caught it. But did that mean it was really his now? Sweeping his foot forward, Jay carefully felt around until his shoe connected with the pokeball, and he leaned down to pick it up, brow furrowed. Lee held onto his shoulder, moving so she wouldn't fall off, and chittering curiously. "Don' spose yer gettin' any sorta vibes off this place, Annie? Any idears on what all is goin' on?" he queried warily, rolling the pokeball in his hand, "Any impressions on what all's real 'n what not?" Annie scuttled around to look up at Jay, taking in his trainer's bothered expression, and humming thoughtfully. "Hmmmm... I don't think so. But, I'm pretty sure there's a trainer nearby, if that helps," he offered in return.

The herbs were an interesting curiosity, but Felix was also quite interested in the berries. There seemed to be a variety of them, and right now the older trainer didn't really care if they were just some sort of figment of his imagination. He looked over a few sitrus berries that were hanging down from what he was pretty sure was not a sitrus tree before plucking one. Two or three times, Felix rotated the yellow berry in his hand. It looked perfectly fine, ripe and ready to eat. Once more Felix looked over the berry... Then tossed it over towards the pond. "Catch, Zelse," he warned the froakie that was swimming. "Fro?" In spite of the late warning, Zelse caught the sitrus berry and stared at it for a moment before looking back at his trainer. Felix was already plucking another pristine-looking berry off the tree. "That one's yours. Enjoy." Felix didn't need to say much more than that before the water type started munching on the piece of fruit, which was more than good enough for the trainer to start doing the same with the berry he took for himself.
Although Zelse got through the berry fairly quick, Felix took a bit more time with his, using a small knife to cut the fruit into smaller pieces. He felt a little better having something in his stomach, which was actually a bit more effect than the trainer had expected. Sure, he had anticipated Zelse acting a bit more lively, but sitrus berries were well-known for their healing properties. It was something most trainers knew, so the idea of one healing the froakie in some sort of weird dream world or afterlife didn't strike the trainer as odd at all. But actually feeling slightly satisfied from the small fruit? Dream or dead, that was definitely not something that Felix would expect. That made the trainer even more curious, so he plucked a couple more sitrus berries and tucked them away for later. Whether 'later' meant before or after waking up, well, he'd have to wait to find out if he could wake up, first.

That got a different reaction out of Jay, and Annie watched with some interest as his trainer quirked an eyebrow and lifted his head. He wondered if he was aware of the expressions he made... They were a little different than some people, but they still conveyed a lot. They conveyed the important stuff. Annie knew his trainer was blind, and he had sort of known him before going to the day care, but not for very long, and that had been a while ago. Honestly, Jay was still sort of a stranger, all things considered, but Annie didn't really mind. He was a true pokemon's pokemon-- he was just here for the experience, whatever that entailed, and for however long it went on. He didn't mind riding in the pokeball, or sleeping the days away, or being at the daycare, or what have you.
"... D'ya know where they are?" Jay asked, after a moment. Annie perked up. "I think I can find them! I-- oh. Jay there's another pokemon," Annie informed him, having turned to start leading the way. Jay sighed, but pulled out his pokedex. With how weird things were here, he might as well use it. Scanning, though, he was surprised to find it was a... Rowlet? Whatever that was. "Go ahead 'n battle it if'n ya think you can, Annie. 'M gonna see if I can catch it," he stated, grabbing an empty pokeball. At least this was finally providing him a pretty good chance to train up pokemon and gather some information from Ralward.
It took a tad bit more difficulty, but he was able to catch this one as well, and absently turned the pokeball in his hand. "Wonder if there's a way to heal these pok'mon..." he mused. He wasn't too sure about Rowlet, but he knew that Chespin was a starter, so it could evolve. This place seemed decent for training pokemon, too, so... he might as well try and fill out the pokedex a bit. He'd been seriously neglecting that, and it was something he ought to at least try and make a bit of progress in every now and then. He wasn't even sure the last time he had made a conscious choice to try and diversify his pokedex entries... Tucking the pokeballs away, he rearranged things some, and started forward to follow Annie, keeping an ear out.
Somehow, Annie seemed to know where to go, though as they continued, Jay continued listening, and started to figure out what, exactly, the pokemon was picking up on. There was, in the distance, the sound of trickling water, but also of rather human-sounding footsteps, though honestly, it was hard to tell. There were a few humanoid, bipedal pokemon that sounded pretty similar from a distance, and this was the dreamworld... so who knew, really. Still, as they approached, with Lee giving occasional churrs by his side to help give him an impression, Jay was getting a better idea of what was ahead. It was foggy, and he had a hand out, and moved slow, his feet staying low to the ground with each step acting as a slow sweep to ensure there wasn't anything to trip over. Honestly, he ought to get a cane, or make sure he had a pokemon that could guide him better, but this wasn't exactly a situation he could plan for.
"Hello? Someone out there?" he called as they got closer, listening as Annie scurried along up ahead, moving faster. The resurrected pokemon was going straight for the pool, not at all concerned that, apparently, there was another pokemon there. He hopped right in-- and immediately started sinking. Welp.... too bad Jay had no idea. Besides, his focus was more on whatever else was moving around in this little clearing area.
