Trey shifted, but slowly started to open his eyes as something brushed against his face. He reached up to rub his hand over it, but furrowed his brow and started looking around when he could swear that had felt like grass against his cheek. And looking blearily down, it... was? He moved to push himself up, looking around in confusion. He frowned. This was definitely a dream. It felt like a dream. There was something a little different about it -- it felt more sharp, and vibrant, and the sensations were a bit more deep than a usual dream -- but it was definitely a dream.
Because for one, he had just been falling asleep in a pokecenter, and for another, that was a bubble with a pokemon floating in it. Trey stared with slightly narrowed eyes as he tracked the bubble carrying a snoozing sandshrew, before he looked down, and got to his feet. His gaze swept the area, finding small rolling hills, if they could even be called that, covered with grass, with one larger mound carrying an enormous tree at its apex. And the sandshrew wasn't the only pokemon floating around in a bubble. There were others, even large pokemon, just bobbing through the air, sleeping soundly. Trey narrowed his eyes at them, watching them go by. This was the weirdest dream....
Elsewhere, JR came to a bit more quickly, cheek pressed against the grass as he laid on his stomach. Wow that earthy smell sure was strong. He quickly pushed himself up and rocked up onto his heels to stand, looking around as he brushed himself off. What in the actual hell. Metaphorical hell? This place didn't exactly look like the distortion world, after all, but it sure as hell wasn't normal, either. Were... were those floating pokemon in bubbles? ... Was that Wesley?! JR stepped closer as he squinted at one of the bubbles that seemed to carry a grey-colored, snoozing wigglytuff. He watched it, then looked around, taking in his surroundings, and exhaling, hard. Well this definitely wasn't just a dream. It felt a bit too solid for that. He looked up at the large tree that was present, narrowing his eyes, before reaching down, and unstrapping the whip subtly latched at his waist. He snapped it out to wrap around a branch, gave it a tug to make sure it was tight, and began gym-rope climbing it up until he got on one of the branches. He pulled the whip loose once he was balanced on the tree, and carefully walked along it, hand touching other branches as he passed them, walking out towards the edge. He tested his balance some as he reached his target point, readied his whip, then snapped it out with another loud crack-- and popped a bubble. He crouched down, grabbed the branch, and swung himself down and let go to land on the ground, walking over to the grumpy wigglytuff now rubbing its head, laying where it had plopped onto the ground.
"Sleep well?" he asked, nudging the pokemon with his foot, looking annoyed. He knew this was like literally poking a bear, considering what had happened prior to them sleeping, but he also knew Wesley wasn't so dumb and egotistical that he had missed that a good bit of that was his own fault. And the glare (as opposed to attack) that he got in response confirmed as much. "Tuff," the pokemon muttered, rolling back and then springing onto his feet. He didn't bother brushing the dirt off as he just folded his arms and looked away, looking angry as ever. JR rolled his eyes. "Right.... let's go see if we can find the twerp and his pokemon, assuming they got sent here too," he muttered, looking around, and starting off in a random direction.

Reese shifted in his sleep, trying his best to make himself more comfortable. Limbs kicked out into a space that the normal train seats didn’t allow. He rolled his head as well and made a face as strands of something tickled his face. You know the train seats weren’t exactly something he’d expect to pass a white glove cleaners test, but there definitely shouldn’t have been something rubbing up in his face.
"Wha…," he grumbled as he absently swatted at his face to try and shoo whatever it was away. Was it Colton? That little b*****d liked to pretend to be a pillow, though it was more on par with attempting suffocation all the times he’d dealt with it. Cotton wasn’t exactly great to sleep on when it didn’t have a cover... Instead, his hand thudded against… the ground?
Wait a minute.
His eyes fluttered open and once his vision had focused, Reese immediately shot up into a sitting position. This was not the train. This wasn’t the station of Either Castelia City or Slateport, which is where he’d been heading. Hell, this wasn’t even a station. He was outside, laying in the grass next to the most massive tree he’d ever seen in his life. Like… it was abnormally large. And floating around it were bubbles filled with various different pokemon from all across the regions. They were what… sleeping? It looked that way or else this place was going to get considerably grim. Luckily, a bubble that happened to float close containing a Rattata showed that its chest was gently heaving as one would while asleep.
The snot bubble helped as well.
Which was all fine and dandy that he wasn’t waking up on the land of dead pokemon or anything, but that didn’t help him figure out exactly how he got here. With a grunt he rolled over onto his front, shoving his hands under his chest and shoved himself up with a jump to his feet. Ice-blue eyes narrowed in on his surroundings. Right then so he was in what, a dreamland? Was he still asleep? That probably made some sense and gave reason to this place.
Huh.
"Weird…," he grumbled, finally shoving himself up onto his feet and absently swatting his backside. It wasn’t like there was actually any dirt to be swatted off in this place but it was a habit. Just because he wore his jeans ripped didn’t mean he liked them dirty. He took a moment to take in his surroundings, beginning to walk around the base of the tree. His gaze wandered up to all the sleeping pokemon (this would be a good heist if you were in the pokemon thieving business) before narrowing in on some familiar looking forms.
There, in their own little bubbles (how come only pokemon got bubbles?) were his pokemon. Quixote and Jaxston and surprisingly, even Ginger, were just hovering and snoozing away like the rest of them.
"The fu-," Reese wasn’t about to just leave his pokemon here, sleeping or not. Screw that. Thinking a moment, he pulled a hand from his pocket and focused. This was a dream world, right? And if it was, then he could make anything he wanted happen.
Materializing from thin air in the palm of his hand was a slingshot. Perfect. He pulled out his other hand, focusing on that and producing some rocks. Ammunition.
He could’ve just imagined the bubbles to pop and release his pokemon, but where was the fun in that? He loaded the three rocks at once into the sling, pulled the band back and took aim, waiting for just the right moment when all the bubbles were hovering within the same vicinity of one another before firing off. He didn’t miss (of course, it was a dream, why should he?) and with a loud pop, the bubbles burst and the sleeping forms were dropped a good ten feet to the ground. Well almost all of them. Quixote had been floating just above and so out of instinct, Reese caught the baby dragon. Ginger floated down like the shadow she was, yawning and rubbing at her eyes as her feet touched down. And Jaxston? Well, he hit the grass with a loud thud and snapped awake in startled surprise.
So really, he was the only one to suffer from their trainer’s actions. Nice.
Jaxston groaned and pushed himself to his scrawny little legs, snapping a look at his trainer before realizing that he did not recognize where they were. Wait a minute, what was this place? Hadn’t they been on a train just a minute before? How…
The Servine was in awe. This place was massive and beautiful but just a tiny bit intimidating. He glanced at Reese, noting that he’d scooped up an excited Quixote to keep him from fleeing off into the fields, taking a look around with a lack of enthusiasm before beginning off down the hill in the direction of what seemed like a park. What… where was he going?

The duet didn't get very far, as they looked over the various paths they could take. Each path seemed to lead someplace nice and the curious duo felt it would be nice to go to either path, however the one that stood out the most to Reina was the mountain ahead of them. It looked like a fine physical challenge which she liked. Even if this was a dream and that sort of aspect didn't entirely matter, right? Either way it was hard to choose what path to take so they continued to stand there debating among themselves. That was... until a petite voice called to them.
It was one thing to end up in a dream that wasn't riddled with the horrors of her job or her past mistakes, but to find another seemingly sentient human capable of speech? Turning to face the voice she gave way a smile to her face. "Oh, Bonjour, Ami." Reina replied. Anubis hopped down from Reina's shoulder, finding her little companion a curious sight. Neither him nor Reina had seen a Pokemon like that before. "Ah, well.... I would say it is a dream, but it does fill somewhat different, no?" She replied, holding a hand to her chin. Then with a shrug she dropped her hand down to her hip. "Anubis and I were just discussing which path we should take." The Egyptian then used the opposite hand to motion out towards the various paths they could see from where they stood. "I'd favor a voyage up that Mountain. But Anubis is scared of heights." Reina gave a laugh at that.
The canine Pokemon for the meantime had approached Rose's companion with a curious look. 'Hey. I'm Anubis. Whats your name?' Anubis asked, eager to get to know the mysterious Pokemon before him. 'Seems our partners are destined to keep meeting.' He added with a chuckle. When he heard his name the canine looked back towards Reina with a slight pout. ' I am not! Don't tell lies Reina!' His response, though only coming out as barks to Rose, made Reina chuckle a bit harder.

It was a splitting headache that woke Christian, and the blurry sight of an impossibly blue sky was what greeted him. He groaned, mouth as dry as cotton, before giving himself a, sluggish, body check. Toes wiggling, yup, and arm mobility? He stretched both arms out, as far as they could go, the grass rustling underneath his limbs, then wiggled his fingers. Okay, so, everything was in order. That reassurance made, Christian forced himself into a sitting position, his head throbbing with pain and a serious sense of déjà vu; hadn't this been his state when Am had first found him? He closed his eyes, and with his left hand he rubbed his temple, then forced them back open when a breeze rolled by, tugging at the edges of his clothes and shifting his hair across his face. It sure was nice to wake up in an unfamiliar place, again.
At least this time he had his memories.
And a fox by his feet. The second was certainly stranger, and Christian spent several seconds simply staring at the creature before it stirred slowly and raised its head. A soft, whining, yawn left its maw before it shook itself and tilted its head up to stare at him. Or, at least, that was what he could assume. It was difficult to tell, what with its eyes closed and all. A staring contest ensued, and ended only when Christian turned away (effectively surrendering), and in the direction of where his name had been called.
Admittedly it took him a moment to find his voice, until now he'd only managed to stare, but after dragging his tongue over the roof of his mouth and swallowing heavily he spoke. "Dying, but over here!" Christian stood, reluctantly, to his feet stumbled back a few inches, then walked over to where Jun stood, along with... the bird thing from earlier? Its appearance caused him to tense, and instinctively he looked around the sky for the black and red lizard that had... attacked? Somehow. With its mind. A quick scan didn't turn anything up (definitely a bad thing), but he turned back to Jun nevertheless. "So. We're here now." He gestured randomly to the 'here'. "Wherever here is. What's our game plan?" Jun was the 'tactician', and planner, of their duo, so it just seemed right to defer to him.
The headache he'd woken up with was still there, lingering and making him very aware of his heartbeat, but it was fading.

It was absolutely true that having someone to turn to when she was struggling would provide her some comfort and relief, but... Aiden couldn't be that person for her. At least not for certain things. She couldn't confide in him that she'd killed his pokemon, or that she used to be part of some terrible organization. What would he think of her then? Admittedly, it would probably make it easier to get away from him, but it would also hurt him, and Natalia couldn't stand the thought of hurting him more than she already had. Natalia took some comfort in talking about lighter topics, like how far they had come in their gym run, but when Aiden insisted that it would be nice for her to have someone to turn to, Natalia sighed. "I do rely on you, probably in more ways than you might realize... You've been a good friend to me, so please, just trust me when I say that I need to take care of some things on my own. For everything else, you'll be my go-to. Okay...?" She smiled weakly, really wanting to be done with this conversation. She appreciated his concern, but at the same time it killed her. She didn't deserve him, but she needed him. She shouldn't be with him, but he wanted her at his side. If he knew the things she had done, who she really was, would he turn her away, or would he forgive her?
Natalia wasn't sure which would feel worse.
Everyone talked big about how they'd forgive or would understand, but few ever actually followed through on the promise. Aiden didn't seem like the type to go back on his word though. He was kind to a fault. Natalia had witnessed that herself, but she hadn't seen him forgive murderers, and she wasn't willing to test his kindness to find out. Thankfully, Aiden seemed to finally let it go, and they went to sleep for the night.

Natalia stirred as she heard Aiden call her name. It was strange though, because she wasn't in bed, and she knew she had fallen asleep in a bed last night. And yet, Natalia was met with the distinct sensation of lying on grass. A gentle touch and shake to her shoulder roused her more, and Natalia slowly opened her eyes, confused and groggy as she looked around. Was she... Dreaming? This had to be a dream, right? Natalia groaned and grumbled as she stretched and sat up. "What's going on...? Why are we outside? Did I sleepwalk...?" She asked curiously.
More curiously, if she was really dreaming, then why were Aiden, Thalia, Dag, and Aria in it? Were her pokemon here too? She recalled that Nyomii and Blaze had slept out of their pokeballs in the room, but she didn't see them anywhere. "Nyomii! Blaze?" She called out. "We're here." Natalia heard the espeon and felt relieved as they both came out from around—a giant tree??? Natalia suddenly took notice of the tree that she had been laying next too, and her gaze went up and up and up until her head hurt. "Okay... There's gotta be something funny going on here, or this is a dream, because trees don't get that big." She commented. "Yeah, Nyomii already brought me to speed but guess we gotta bring you in the loop too. Says this is some kinda dream world or somethin'." Blaze commented, and Natalia was a little taken aback. She'd heard Blaze before but... Not usually quite this clear. Blaze smirked at Natalia's surprise. "Yeah that's right, I can talk here. Pretty nifty huh? Guess this place ain't so bad if it's got perks like that." She seemed quite satisfied with herself.
"Okay, so we're in some kind of dream world. What now?" Natalia asked looking around. All she saw was a bunch of pathways leading out of every direction. "Seems more like a dream maze to me. There's a bunch of paths but I can't see beyond this funky mist." She gestured to the boarders of this area.

Alex, actually hearing Az's voice, nudged an eye open with his iron will. Huh, waking up was way easier than it should've been. It only took a bit of nudging. Detaching from Cabbage Patch to flop spread-eagle in the grass, he could now see the branches and trunk of a massive tree, along with Az's unimpressed face staring down at him.

"Az! Az, that tree!" His eyes darted from the tree to his companion, back and forth and back and forth. All the while, a goofy grin was plastered to his face. After all, this was totally a dream (Alex would know, he was very good at dreaming) and if he was lucid like this, it meant the dream was going to last a while.
Why was he so happy? Because Az was here too! He wasn't sure how that worked exactly, but he was pretty sure she couldn't walk off in the waking world if she was asleep too. Alex wondered, momentarily, if somehow he had done this- wished hard enough to drag Az into his dreams too. But... this didn't feel like his own dream. A nice, grassy meadow and a large, mythological tree? His dreams were usually a lot weirder. So maybe it was Az's?
...
PFFFFT.
Yeah right.
Alex reached up at Az, making grabby hands, in a very subtle attempt to get her to help him up. "This is so cool, I've never done a joint dream before." His brain finally caught up, remembered how Az had told him to "wake up". For a moment he thought maybe she didn't know what was going on. Then he realized no, of course not, Az was just making a sick meta joke. Damn, Az was hilarious. Alex hoped one day he could be that funny.

Jun's dark eyes looked Christian over. Guy sounded like s**t but still had his sense of humor, so he was probably alright. "Yeah. Lugia here-" Jun jerked his head to indicate the massive dark creature hovering behind him, pointedly not looking at her as a small defiance, "-says it's a dream world. We're asleep, apparently." As he said it he raised a hand, looking at it thoughtfully. This all felt incredibly real.
Looking down also brought the little fox into view. "Who's that?" he asked, glancing sideways at Cress as if she'd have the answer.
He debated forwarding Lugia's mandate to 'have fun' to Christian. He felt her looming presence and expectant gaze on his back. He should've realized trying to use that icy stone would be more trouble than it was worth.
"Sounds like it's safe here, anyways. Can't really wake ourselves up, so we'd might as well look around." They'd just have to hope that their unconscious bodies would be okay. He hid his irritation at this Lugia's actions, calling on the experience he'd built up. Don't speak out, don't talk back, just follow directions.
Jun cast his gaze over their surroundings, catching sight of some pathways leading into the distance. "Anywhere call out to you?"

✦ ✦After taking a moment or two to take in more of his surroundings, Aiden couldn’t help but wonder if this actually was a dream. The soft, lush grass underneath him felt absurdly real… as did the warmth of the sun shining down on them from above and the wind that ruffled his hair. Still… if what Aria said was right, then it would appear that they had ended up inside of some sort of strange dream world... It was a lot to take in, between how incredibly real this dream world felt and actually being able to understand what his Pokemon were saying, at least aside from normally only being able to hear Aria due to her telepathic capabilities. And from the looks of it, it seemed that other people and Pokemon had entered this world as well… This was certainly unlike any dream he’d had before, and something like this didn’t seem like it could simply be accomplished through normal means.
As peaceful and serene as this place appeared to be, something about this whole thing didn’t feel quite right… Aiden’s mind immediately jumped on the idea that maybe Team Void was involved in this somehow, but the more he thought about it, something like this likely wouldn’t be fitting with Void’s MO… And even so, why would they go to such great lengths to fabricate a place like this and what would be the purpose of it? At the very least it seemed he and Natalia had arrived here safe and unharmed, but perhaps it wouldn’t hurt to stay on guard for anything that could count as suspicious. He backed off a little as his gentle shaking roused Natalia, giving her room to stretch and collect her bearings while she took in the situation they had suddenly found themselves in. Aiden tapped a finger thoughtfully against his chin as she asked what was going on and why they were outside and if she had sleepwalked somehow. ”Uh… not exactly…” he answered, shaking his head, ”We’ve somehow ended up in some kind of dream world, apparently… Though with how real everything seems to be here, it almost doesn’t feel like we’re dreaming, if that makes any sense.” The blonde was admittedly still trying to get a solid grasp of the situation at hand, this had never happened to him before, at least not that he could recall off the top of his head. Aria chuckled, shaking her head as she nodded towards Natalia.”Rest assured our bodies are still in bed in the real world where we last left them, but I will certainly keep a close eye just in case,”she assured with a smile, while it was unlikely that their physical bodies would be in any kind of danger it was better to be safe than sorry. It certainly helped that with her being a Psychic-type, her telepathic connections would allow her to monitor any activity going on around them in the real world even though she was fast asleep, that way if they needed to wake up in case of an emergency she would be able to alert them ahead of time.
Realizing that Blaze and Nyomii were still missing, Aiden quickly looked around as Natalia called out for them. Thankfully it didn’t take long to find them as the Espeon and Quilava came out from around the gigantic tree that had greeted them upon their first waking up here, though apparently the brunette had only just noticed it as she looked up at the enormous tree with shock and disbelief. Aiden glanced up at it as well, blinking as he only now just noticed the glimmering bubbles that floated about its branches. Upon further inspection, he was surprised to see that they actually contained Pokemon, all of which appeared to be fast asleep as the glistening orbs they lay in cruised lazily about the titanic tree. How curious… He glanced back towards Natalia as Blaze filled her in on what was going on, the girl apparently a little surprised at being able to actually hear the Quilava speaking to her. Aiden gave a small smile at that, humming thoughtfully as Natalia asked what they should do now as she gestured to the paths and said that it seemed more like a maze since there were all these paths. ”Hm… Well assuming that this place isn’t dangerous, which it doesn’t appear to be so far, perhaps it wouldn’t hurt to explore around a bit,” he suggested, frowning a bit, ”Although with so many different paths to follow and not much else that we can see from here, I’m not entirely sure of where to even start.”
”I can certainly help with that! I did a bit of scouting earlier while Daguerro and Thalia stayed behind to keep watch over you both until you woke up,”Aria stepped in, pointing towards where the paths intersected,”It appears that this world is made up of multiple different sections that all surround this place, so where we are right now is a main area that acts as a crossroads of sorts. This path for instance leads to a forest, and this one here goes to a more coastal type of area...”Aiden listened intently as Aria gestured towards where each path led and gave a brief description of the area, from the sounds of it there were actually quite a few different places they could go to from here such as a forest, a beach, a mountain, a haunted house, and vice versa. ”Hmmm... Probably might be for the best to not go to the haunted house,” he said, still a little leery about wandering into haunted places after what had happened at that ball.”N-No scary, please…”Thalia spoke up softly, nodding her head in eager agreement with Aiden’s proposal. The blonde smiled, bending down a bit to give the Sylveon a reassuring pat between the ears. ”Maybe we could try the forest first,” he suggested, glancing inquisitively towards Natalia for her thoughts, "Unless there's another place that grabs your interest a bit more?" The forest seemed like a good start, and they could go on from there if they might want to try exploring around the other sections of this dream world. According to Aria, all the different areas around here were apparently interconnected with each other as well as this main area, so traveling between places wouldn’t an issue. This was certainly a very curious world, Aiden had to wonder just how large it actually was, and what else possibly awaited them out there…✦ ✦

It was the feel of a gentle breeze that stirred Gavyn awake. There was the smell of grass, as well as a hint of wild flowers, something not common to the indoors of modern time buildings. He opened his eyes, finding himself staring up into the far away branches of a large tree. Which, he had expected to be blurry. Upon further investigation, it seemed he still had his glasses on, meaning that his vision was not nearly as impaired as it would be. For a moment, he pondered if he had fallen asleep with his glasses on again. The spectacled male was quite sure that he had in fact taken them off before turning in. It had become a ritual, no matter how tired he was.
Gavyn did not dwell on the fact he seemed to be wearing his glasses. No, now he was quite sure this had to be a dream of some kind. Though this seemed much more pleasant than some of the dreams he had been having as of recent. Almost suspiciously so. He sat up, running his long, slender fingers through the grass beside him. Confirming this was a dream, a small pink flower blossomed under his touch. The brown-haired male released a soft sigh. Knowing this was a dream world of some kind certainly helped him relax more.
There were a few assumptions he made upon his observations. Such as that he was alone here, that this was some dream of his own subconscious’ making. Another is that he would be safe here. None of this looked familiar enough to be the setting of Illex town, and there had yet to be any familiar faces so far from his original time. Furthermore, that he was alone in this dream. Not even Merlin seemed to be there beside him. Just him in the serene, woodsy terrain. It was peaceful and calm.
While Gavyn felt like he could simply just lay back and relax, he had a need to get up and explore this new environment, still wary on the off chance that things would turn for the worst here. Pulling himself back to his feet, he looked about before setting out through the trees and grass until he met a path. That path led him to many other paths, and he hesitated, looking up at the sky. What would these paths lead him to? Did horrors wait him at the ends? Or would this dream continue to be simply nice? Gavyn hesitated, looking around at the paths before him. The idea that this might all take a turn for the worst bothered him, but more than that he was rather content and at ease. He could also imagine what Merlin would have to say if he was here, hearing about his concerns. ‘Come on Gavy, live a little! It will do you some good. You worry too much when you are awake, so why not spend this time relaxing?’
The brown haired male chuckled at the thought, a small smile upon his lips. Merlin would be right. It is undeniable that he was nearly always in an anxious state. Always concerning himself with what is or is not sinful, thinking too much about how he might seem to others, worrying about what is thought of him and what goes unsaid. There was just too much of his past that would still haunt him, even without his family there to chide him. The present time had been extra stressful for him, too. There were all these new gadgets and sights to see, and apparently completely different views.
Gavyn sighed just thinking of everything that had been straining him ever since being dropped in this time. It really was too much for him. “I really should stop…” he told himself, looking more thoughtfully at his choice of paths. There was no telling where they all led to at first, but a closer look showed that the skies above each path seemed to fade into something different, as if each path led to its own world, separate from this one. There was a path that looked like it led somewhere more ominous, and Gavyn quickly decided against that one. Despite knocking one option out of the running, that still left him at a loss on which path he should take. So, he thought of what Merlin would do. ‘You just have to pick one and be surprised at what you get, Gavy.’ With that, Gavyn decided to just pick the nearest path and walk down it. It was too bad that his partner was not there with him to experience this. He supposed that he would have to let the clefairy know all about this venture. That is, if he remembered it at all when he woke up.
The path he had chosen seemed to lead into a chilly climate, soft white fluffs of snow falling gently. A soft crunch under his feet became more noticeable the further he walked. Instinctively, Gavyn pulled his arms close, hugging himself much like he would if he was cold. Yet it did not seem to deter him from continuing forward. He was never a huge fan of winter, but now he could see its beauty. How quiet it could be. Everything looked plain and ordinary covered in a sheet of snow. It felt safe.
The spectacled male did pause as the path continued into the mouth of an icicle laden cave. Normally he would be much more hesitant about entering such a cave, especially on his own. It was curiosity that had taken him, a wonder about what lies inside. Rarely had he ever found that he could freely decide to inspect such a place. Usually he would only be passing through; the cave would be a means to get from point A to point B. This cave however held unknowns. There might not even be anything on the other side. For once, Gavyn wanted to discover it himself. Taking a deep breath, he carefully stepped forward into the cave.

As Rose was quite sure that she was in a dream, she happened across a familiar face as she had followed along a path. As she got closer, she recognized her as Reina, the lady she had recently met and made friends with. So, she greeted the woman, then asked if she knew anything about this place, since perhaps it was not a dream after all. Funnily enough, Reina’s response was that it is a dream, but feels different. “It does seem a lot like a dream, but it feels …. More real I think.” Rose commented, then looked past the other woman at the branching paths ahead.
It sounded like Reina was considering the path that led up to a mountain, laughing about her pokemon companion being afraid of heights. The riolu barked at that, and the red head giggled. “I think the mountain sounds fun! I love hiking.” She smiled, unaware of what the little pup had to say on the matter. “If Anubis gets too scared I can carry him~” she offered. Rose was quite ready to head off towards the mountain with Reina if that was her decision. Might as well explore this new place with someone she already knew, just in case something was wrong.
Rye tilted his head as the small black pup greeted him. “Anubis… like a guardian of the underworld?” the little ghost leopard inquired, tail swishing. “I am called Rye.” He answered, then looked up to the two trainers. “Rose is nice. Friendly. She meets a lot of people often.” The flurry commented, overhearing the trainer’s discussion. It seemed that Anubis did not approve of his trainer saying he was afraid of heights, getting vocal about it. Rye felt a bit amused, but did not laugh. “You seem very close to your trainer.” Rye observed.

As Anubis had stated to the Flurry in Rose's company. It seemed that Reina and Rose were destined to continue meeting. Even in their dreams did they make a connection. Not to mention the vastly different ways either of them had fallen asleep. Reina gave a nod to the young red-head as she mentioned her own feelings on the dream-world they'd found themselves in. A dream but real, as if things that happened to them here could very well impact their physical bodies in the outside world. Well, how much worse could it get for Reina? Right now she was feeling great considering the wound in her shoulder out in the waking world. "Oui, a dream but real does explain this situation well." The cop grinned.
As for what to do in the dream-like world, it seemed Reina had an interest in the mountain in the distance. The Egyptian mentioned as much, and it appeared the young rose felt the same. To the mountain it was than. Taking the lead Reina let loose another series of chuckles at Rose's reaction as well as Anubis' reaction. "I bet he wouldn't mind being carried even if he wasn't scared." Reina mentioned. "Anubis, is a sucker for affection." Reina continued. Which was true, for the most part. It really depended upon the situation. He wasn't a fan of children per sae, mostly due to his height. But when dealing with a kidnapping or a case where a child was scared or hurt he could really turn on the charm in favor of helping said child get through their ordeal. This either meant getting the life nearly hugged out of him or taking the brunt of a panicked child's physical assaults. Which happened more often then some would think.
The canine in question was currently making friends with Rose's own companion. A Flurry. Anubis was quick to introduce himself as he is wont to do. The feline-esque Pokemon replied with their own name after attempting to affirm the origin of Anubis' name. The canine nodded as Rye had inquired about his name. "Nice to meet cha, Rye. Yea, Reina is like that too. She's always meeting people both new and old." The canine grinned. "She's a real people person." He added. "Her nickname scheme stems from her heritage. She gets a kick out of nicknaming everyone Egyptian names. She picked Anubis for me because of my coat." The canine brought a paw up to his black chest fur. With a bit of imagination one could place various gold accents across his body and likely see the deity rather well. Under the skinny white scarf wrapped around his neck hid a collar with a small golden button with Reina's Agency logo on it.
When Reina continued to poke fun at him, joking that he had a fear of heights the canine quickly retorted his frustration with Reina lying and making him look bad. But that only made Reina laugh harder. He gave a slight pouty face at Reina's continued poking rolling his eyes and looking back to Rye. There was no winning with that woman. Anubis let out a huff at the feline's observation. "As thick as thieves." He replied. "Ironic, given we hunt down and arrest thieves." Anubis let out a small chuckle at his attempt of a joke.

In a way, it was like he was floating. Like his very existence was like a feather in the wind. Floating. Falling. Falling.
Falling.
"Scott."
Waverly stood to his right. She was fourteen again. Her green eyes tired and her smile strained. ”I’ll see ya later, okay?”No, it’s not okay he wanted to scream. You’re just going to leave me. As if on cue, she turned. "I can't stay here anymore. Not anymore. You'll be fine." Then she walked away, further and further away, and there was nothing Scott could do except watch.
A sudden burst of light made him flinch and as his eyes adjusted to the brightness, he could see his father standing where Waverly once did, his cold blue eyes staring down at him and for the first time in years, Scott felt like he was nine again. Powerless. Helpless. He tried to call out, to reach out, but the words died on his lips and his father turned away. He tried to run toward him, but his feet wouldn't move from where they seemed to be glued to the floor.
Not again.
Yet again.
Scott woke with a start, sitting up so quickly that his vision went black and his temples burned with the sudden shift in blood pressure. He groaned quietly, shutting his eyes and pressing the palm of his hand to the side of his head until the pain finally subsided and it no longer felt like there were needles poking at the whites of his eyes. What a way to wake up…
Wait. When did he fall asleep?
A quick look around told him nothing of these strange new surrounds; nothing was familiar. Maybe he was still dreaming? Well, at least this seemed like a much more pleasant dream than his last one. The last thing he remembered was trying to save Lawlett after he got kicked by a Hitmolee, accidentally running into Marina, and then… nothing. He must have hit his head on the way down. Ah. Hopefully he didn’t crush Marina in the process either. That would be real bad. ‘How to Make Friends 101’ did not include a section on how to deal with that situation.
Neither Lawlett nor Marina seemed to be around, which, if he was dreaming, would make some sort of sense. His mind was too busy digging up old wounds to actually include some sort of happiness in this dreamscape. With a heavy sigh, Scott rose to his feet and dusted his clothes off before checking his belt and to his surprise he found all of his Pokemon attached to his hip, even the new one that he had picked up before the Spinach-Lawlett incident. Huh. Interesting. Making the executive decision to leave Peaches to sleep… or whatever this dream version of her was doing, he let the other two out of their pokeballs.
Kosmo was quick to take advantage of its sudden freedom to bounce up and down until the blond male crouched down to check what it wanted and it made quick work of climbing up to nestle on the top of his head. ”You really like it up there, huh?” came Scott’s exasperated response to which Kosmo only chirped happily about. With the wispy pokemon content to stay atop his head, Scott directed his attention toward the newest addition to his team. Ah. Well. Assuming it didn’t belong to anyone else that is. Its slimmer serpentine body and blue coloration was a fairly dead give away to what pokemon it was. ”You’re a Dratini, aren’t you?” he mumbled to himself, pulling out the Pokedex from inside of his bag. Nothing with doublechecking.
’Dratini, the Dragon Pokemon. Dratini continually molts and sloughs off its old skin. It does so because the life energy within its body steadily builds to reach uncontrollable levels.’
So he was right. And it was a female to boot. Interesting. Tucking the Pokedex back into his bag, Scott extended his other hand to the Dratini, hoping that he wouldn’t accidentally scare it off. ”Hey there. Don’t be scared. I’m Scott.” Much to his surprise, she didn’t seem the least bit scared as she slithered up to his hand and gave it a quick sniff before pressing her head against his palm. ”I don’t suppose you have a trainer.” She looked at him with a curious gaze before snaking up his arm to eventually rest around his shoulders. ”I’ll take that as a no,” he chuckled softly, reaching up to stroke the top of her head. ”Welcome aboard, Kaida.”
Alright. Well, seeing as it didn’t seem like he wasn’t going to wake up any time soon, Scott stood up and set off to explore this strange landscape. That giant tree looked pretty impressive and he wasn’t about to pass up the opportunity to check it out. Seriously, what a strange dream…

Trey woke up slowly, feeling oddly at peace for some reason. There was a soft wind blowing that seemed to be lulling him back to sleep. Wait...wind? There wasn't...wind inside a bus. Opening his eyes, the boy started to realize that he was in some sort of meadow..not at all where he had fallen asleep. The air smelled like apples And that wasn't the only surprise. His pokemon were floating above him in bubbles...apparently sleeping? "What the what? Hey!" Vita stirred at her trainer's voice Trey called out again and that seemed to do the trick. The tiny snake pokemon looked perplexed for a second before trying to poke the bubbles with her vine. Once, twice, on the third try the snivy was able to pop the bubble. And fall straight down. Trey dove, reaching out to catch his pokemon and by some miracle or luck just managed it. Vita climbed atop her usual spot on his shoulder seemingly unphased by the whole thing. "Can..you get the others down?" Vita nodded reaching up with her vines and poking at the bubbles first for Chance then for Lyra. Trey froze unsure of how to get them both before he remembered their pokeballs. After recalling them back Trey took a look around. He was in front of a large tree..which had no apples, so where was that smell coming from? It was really familiar too but he couldn't quite place it.

Looking further around Trey noticed that the tree while easily the most attention grabbing thing around him..wasn't the only thing around him. Different paths seemed to lead to the same tree, and all of them seemed different... "What even-" On his shoulder, Vita shrugged. The pokemon wasn't any clearer on what was happening or why she and her party members had wound up suspended in the air in bubbles and had even less idea on how they had gotten here from the bus her trainer had taken. Trey for his part had decided to explore the area around the trees, it seemed the only way to move anywhere was to pick a path. "But do I really want to move?" he mused out loud. After all he had no clue where he was, maybe it'd be safer to stay where he was? The smell of apples was getting to him, Trey fiddled with the strings on his pikahoodie and thought for a moment. He had somehow woken up somwhere strange, and with his pokemon out of their pokeballs. He had no idea where he was or how he got here. He wondered briefly if his father could be behind this..or his brother but dismissed that. It wouldn't make any sense, his father wanted him to battle not dwadle around in a place with a giant tree.

Rounding the tree and looking at the many paths Trey couldn't help but wonder what each of them had that made them different. He was still ruminating this when one of his pokeballs started to shake. Taking out the item to inspect it, Trey gave a cry of surprise when the lilipup he had caught beamed right out.. "Chance?" Chance barely gave any indication that he heard his trainer and instead decided to take off on a random path. "Hey! Hey come back" The puppy pokemon looked back once, fixed his trainer with a look and took off at full speed. Trey this time had no choice but to leave the tree.
