 "Of all the best days that were best days this was the best day because it was the best day!" Harvest Moon was babbling over and over to Whippoorwill with glee as their translucent wings fluttered, keeping them floating above the ground as they moved. They'd been down to visit their parents once more and then had gotten... distracted. But the distraction of course had been completely worth it! Or so they claimed. In the bag slung across the Bat Pony's hips was a large opal and some old bowls that they'd found that which would be going to the museum in Everville just as soon as they made it there.
Given that it was the edge of dusk it was going to be just a slight bit harder to get there in all this sunlight, but they were content to find a shady spot for the early evening and plopped down on the edge of a lake near the shade of a tree. Luckily for them it wasn't Lake Flare, or their Winter aligned hind quarters might have been in trouble, but the star-marked bat simply snickered and started pulling the bowls out of their packs to dust off a little bit more. Having grown up for a number of years deep within Summer they were used to the heat, even if it wasn't their favorite. The loyal little owlgriff that was always with them on the other hand, was utterly disgusted by it given his darker colors and made his displeasure known from the upper branches.
"We'll be back out of Summer soon enough! These were worth it and you know it!" Harvest Moon held the opal above their head in retort, as if it's worth should be measured in how it sparkled alone.

 Lava Tide was on the lake bed, currently checking in with a few family members who were still in the Lake verses their trips out into the sea. The being was happily enjoying the warm waters before they looked up to see someone just as bright as them. They blinked then slowly started to make their way up. Slowly breaching the water surface like the shark they were. The being looked at the other pony on the shore. They hummed a moment before surfacing all the way. "Hi there!" they chirped out.

A chirp to Harvest Moon's direct left had them nearly dropping the opal that they had held above their head to make a point for Whippoorwill, eyes widening even further than they usually were as they snapped their head around to look at the little Aquatic that had appeared suddenly. Oh what a fiery Aquatic too! Instantly they placed the opal down on top of their pack and hopped up to scamper over towards the water. "Hey! Nice to meet you!" the little bat chirped back, wings fluttering on their back with their excitement. "Do you live in this lake? How cooool! I've never lived 'in' anything before other than a house."
They tapped the end of their nose for a moment and pondered that statement for a moment. "Sort of, I don't really like to be indoors to often at least. Rather be running around. I'm Harvest Moon and this little owlcat that's just glaring at us both is Whippoorwill, he hates the heat, don't mind him." A giant grin flashed over their face, fangs popping out with it. "We just got back from a dig, do you like shiny things? I can show you lots of really old and cool stuff if you like!"
A hoot came from above them and Moon peered back up at their partner, ignoring the very clear 'calm down' hint the owlcat was trying to impart.
