tab Some ponies were always meant for greater things. While they might not have known it, Everchange did, and the world rewards those deemed for greatness with power. Not all who awaken to their true power are good, however. Some are to be feared as they ascend to their true potential. Regardless, those who influence the world around them are gifted the chance to awaken, and with it they change form.

tab So, what does awakening mean? In the show some ponies had higher status than others. The changelings had their own queen, Discord harnessed great power, and Twilight Sparkle earned the title of Alicorn. Awakening changes a ponies form into something greater -- something bigger. When a pony fits the awakening requirements they'll transform into a more powerful and larger form of who they once were. They may not be royalty or one of the seasonal four, but their endeavors have earned them respect among their peers.

tab Ponies who awaken will be upgraded to the larger base, found here. They also will be granted up to six unique powers befitting their originating species.

tab Awakened will not receive a domain like Alicorns, but they have powers that can at times with enough determination and concentration rival an Alicorn's. They are advanced versions of their breed and will receive edits onto their initial base.

tab A long time ago, a breed of ponies known as the Suli settled deep in a forest affectionately named The Despair. The forest was known for consuming those who entered it carelessly, but its immense beauty was enough to tempt anyone. Covered in unique greenery and beautiful flowers, the forest hid its danger behind its beauty, and devoured anything foolish enough to enter. The Suli, however, were welcomed without harm. The plant-covered breed found The Despair was a kind and plentiful home during their search and it protected them from the harshness of the outside world. It seemed the delicate breed finally found its protector.

tab The Despair had a secret it had long protected, and they discovered it. In the dead center of the forest grew hundreds of beautiful dark purple and blue flowers which glow blue beneath the moonlight. The Suli tended to these flowers, having never found such a plant before. During their care they discovered the flowers could bestow great power to those deemed worthy, although what was considered worthy was unknown.

tab It became believed that the flower performed the wishes of The Dreamer: the pony who had created Everchange through dreaming. Those who impressed The Dreamer were given a new form and power upon consumption of the flower. How the information was discovered will never be known, as the Suli of that time never told their secrets. All that is currently known is that the Suli guarding these flowers can sense when someone worthy is nearby and will allow entry to the forest for those called by the flowers.

tab Those who are worthy will feel an incessant need to travel upon their summoning. Their travels will bring them to The Despair, which will allow safe entry and passage to the flower gathering. It is here a Suli will help the chosen through the ceremony. Upon consumption, the consumer will fall into a week long sleep and awaken in their new form.

tab What happens from there is up to the awakened one.

tab Having an awakened character provides some perks and influence on the shop story. As a result, we have requirements to reach this special role. It's supposed to take some time, but it's also worth the work! We hope you enjoy both the perks and requirements, as the journey to becoming awakened is meant to be fun and character developing.




• You may run a mini-Meta every four months.
  Your awakened character may host mini-Meta's! This means big RP events (that can even have prizes attached) with a story you create. Want your awakened to start a war? Cause a major event? Or be included in something big? Well, you can. You're allowed to run sign ups, ask colorists to color certain prizes, and run the event. You'll need staff help, of course, but we'll follow your directions. If you wish to pitch a mini-Meta idea to us, PM the shop mule with your idea and as many details as you can get in there. We'll go back and forth on planning and if approved we'll begin working on making your story come true.
  
• You can have up to six powers for your character.
  Alicorn's and Awakened's have powers. Alicorn's must have powers related to their domain, but non-Alicorn Awakened's may have powers related to their personality and history. Of course, you'll need approval from us before it's official.
  
• Have followers.
  Those who have awakened are often seen as powerful, and as a result they may earn followers! While your character cannot have a world-wide government, they can create towns/cities revolving around them, or similar things (herds, cults, parties, fake kingdom, etc). It should be understood they still fall under Everchange law, which is fine! You can have criminals, just keep in mind it means they'll be often hunted!



• You must complete 15 RPs.
  It can take as long as you need, but your pony must have finished 15 RPs. At least 500 words must be typed by the person applying per RP. It doesn't matter how many words the others participating type. You cannot use Meta posts for this, as that's a different requirement. Remember, we have a system for wrapping up RPs where the other owner just vanished, so check that out if you have a dead RP that could be eligible for completion.
  
• Participate in two Meta's with at least 5 posts per Meta.
  We enjoy making Meta's and will be making them pretty often. You must participate in at least two and have posted 5 times per Meta to ensure you actually participated.
  
• RP with an Alicorn or Awakened.
  Have one finished RP with one of those two breeds! Needs at least 500 words written by you.
  
• Set up an awakening ceremony RP!
  After you've finished the above requirements you are free to set up an RP in this subforum! One of the RP Managers or Owner will pop in and have an NPC give the recipient a flower! More information on how that RP will work and how to set it up is below.


tab When you set up the ceremony RP, first label it with the header [CEREMONY] before placing your title. Your pony will have been summoned to the forest due to a deep craving to travel. The pony will follow it's instincts and find The Despair and discover the forest allows them entry. The forest is beautifully populated with hundreds of breeds of flowers and plants, no matter the season. They'll be brought to the center of the forest, where they'll find the flowers and a Suli waiting for them.

tab All you need to do is have your pony arrive at the flower gathering and wait for the Suli. They will begin the ceremony, where the pony must consume the flower whole. They'll instantly feel nauseous and fall asleep for a week straight. When they awaken, they'll realize their transformation has taken place.

tab Ponies will not know the reason they were summoned, although they can guess based on rumors in Everchange. Your ceremony RP should describe how they feel during the transformation and after. It is completed when you feel it is, but a staff-member's part in the RP is done after the pony consumes the flower. This is a solo activity, so do not invite another customer to join the RP.
